Nice video Craig, good to see you back. I appreciate the little tips (getting the water on) and the honesty of what works and what's forgotten. Thanks for taking the time out for us and away from the family mate 👍

I usually put cut wettex dish cloths in my damp shoes. These cloths are made of paper that absorbs the moisture. Parts of the cloth should stick out of the shoe so that part dries and leads the moisture out of the shoe.
Entertaining video, as always, Craig, and I believe the term is rewokenemembered (Welsh, I think). I vote for a "what do I carry during different seasons" video. And England should definitely grow more trees, so tarps can be once again used, as perhaps Oliver Cromwell's chaps may have...
Great to see you back “in amongst it” in my favourite bit of the world - hope it’s not another 16 years for another mountain wild camp video! - Great video and thanks for making 👍

Cracking tip about multi tasking. Great Tent especially for the location. Nice Rucksack. You had walking sticks/poles with you so a tarp would have been an option available to you. Nice little camp.

Thanks for sharing your adventure as well as knowledge. Yes to elaboration on your equipment as well as technique. I would like to hear more about site selection for the tent particularly with regard to lightning safety, protection from wind and drainage, falling rocks etc. How do you manage internal tent moisture and humidity in wet weather?

Hi Craig. Good work - shame about the weather. However, I have never been up a mountain in the UK, at all! Such a shame. Doesn't help that I was originally from Norfolk - was part of their Mountain Rescue team - not much work, but great social life 🤣 Serious though, would like to change this and focus on this goal once the replacement hip gets stronger. Kevin.
Thanks for dropping by buddy, it's good to hear from you mate. Yeah, that's a favourite spot for many a wild camper eh Trev? I'm definitely up for meeting up, just give me a bit of notice and let's make it happen 👍

Nice one Craig, I enjoyed this, I do alot of wild camping in tents but now looking to get into a bit of bushcraft the Royal British legion have booked me on a course in September in to the woodlands so it will be years since I've used a tarp set up, great upload. I can't wait.

Hey Craig you are driving on the "wrong" side of the road LOL.... Are there fish in that lake... I like it "concurrent activity" or us earthing it is approaching tasks like a chef you have to do a number of thing at once, (all at the same time) super great tip, the usual bushcrafter/survival guys never point that out probably because they teach tasks sequentially. You have a differnt word for every thing.. Brews to hand.. awesome. "for scarf tonight" nice slang! Dude i am with you man i dont part with money easy either, not even your money!! yea the mountain kit would be interesting, and the difference between the two would be interesting as well. I dont know if i would back any different but i dont have the luxury of diversifying. So understanding both your packs would help complete mine where i have forgotten or just not learned yet. Well done.. great to see you out again .. < J
Great video! If you don't already have it a very good free weather app is "Clear Outside". Terrible graphics just charts. Popular with photographers as it gives the forecasts of low/mid/high clouds. High clouds light up during sunrise and sunset. Low clouds are the dark clouds (sometimes storm clouds) that block sunlight.

I don't think I've ever spotted a renown peak quite so on the edge of an OS map as Moel Siabod is on OL17
It's the ultimate pain point isn't it.
