    Fun video to watch and I like the extensive explanation on your experience with the bike.
    Can't wait to get me one of those.
    Thumbs up from the Netherlands.

    I just came from a 2013 zx6r to a 2017 model of your bike. This video was awesome. I am super short so I love all the lowness of it.

    i have one too and the first thing i did was pipes. second was new seat! I put the HD Sundowner seat on it and it looks like something grandpa would sit on for his hemorrhoids but I'll be damned if it isn't comfortable and if it didn't make the suspension feel completely fine. I've toyed with the idea of a bigger tank and its still a possibility but 99% of the time, the peanut is adequate and the most appealing part of the bike to me. if anything, I would rather just buy a gas pump to put in my garage so I didnt have to worry about filling up before I came home or as soon as I left. keep the rubber side down bro.

    Hey man. Nice review. I own one as well. According to the owners manual, the gas light comes on with about a gallon of fuel remaining. Which for me is about 60 miles. That should get you at least to 90 and maybe 100 or more per tank. I plan on running her empty with a follow car for a refuel and if you're interested i will let you know how that goes.

      Mike Alexander hey any update on that?

    • @mikealexander1859
      @mikealexander1859 7 років тому

      Yes, thanks for asking. A lot depends on what you ask the bike to do. The gas light comes on with .6 gallons of fuel remaining. If I red line her throughout the gears in city/highway driving the light comes on just before 60 miles. with .6 making up roughly 25% of the tank so you can do the math. If you baby her, and cruise easily and drive conservatively the light didnt come on until the late 70's leaving you with .6 gal.. generally speaking the tank is pretty limiting.. more than I thought. But the bike feels absolutely right in the curves and the accelerations. loves speed too. Very happy with my purchase. Check out the Harley Iron tank on the Sportster 48.. thats what I may end up doing.. its a great combo. anyways overall range 70-85-90 miles. But I have yet to run her dry.

    My old '86 Sporty had a 2.25 gallon peanut tank, I wouldn't change it for nuttin. It was cool looking.

    Great review! currently considering getting this or the Iron

    • @Degovernator
      @Degovernator  8 років тому

      Thanks for watching! The iron is great but I prefer the bigger motor. altbough the extra fuel and better suspension would be great. plus the iron is likely $2k cheaper.

    • @lordseth2074
      @lordseth2074 8 років тому

      ***** Yeah losing almost 400cc on the Irons engine does suck but you could always convert like many do but maybe getting the 48 would be cheaper over that?

      +Lord Seth you probably would even out in the end either way but i like knowing mine was made a 1200 factory

      True and there are several used 48s for sale that have a few little miles on them but come with mods and are sold by real reputable dealers that leave a warranty and its cheaper than a stock new one. Really looking into that and the gems that can be found.

      +Lord Seth yea. I just wanted the '16. but used is a good choice.

    Despite the obvious to do a Stage 1 make sure you consider upgrading the stick rear and front. My Fat Bob gas HD Premium in the rear and Progressive in the front. Will help you immensely IMO. Great review - thumbs up 👍👍

    Very nice honest review. When you fill up are you at empty? So you are getting about 35 mpg?

      Benjamin Manfre yep. but to be fair I ride pretty hard for a Harley rider..

    lol your review style is hilarious. What's your thought on the Victory Gunner? Prices crashing with their closure and the 106 is a kick in the ass.

      GTOAviator I really like most victory bikes.. tbh it's a much better bike for what you pay..

    You forgot to mention that the blinker fluid leaks on these bikes and has to be topped off atleast once a week or they might not work when you need them to...

    That's a really sick looking Harley. you didn't want to get an R1 or other liter bike? did you not like the riding position? great stuff man.

      @Degovernator  8 років тому

    Did you adjust the preload on the shocks? Pretty easy, the tool is under the seat. I'm probably a lot bigger than you, I set them to an 9 and am doing great now with the suspension.

    Hows it feel with another person on the back!?

    • @Degovernator
      @Degovernator  8 років тому

      probably not bad with suspension adjusted. but i dont know. no passenger seat or pegs stock.

  • @sethadam4266
    @sethadam4266 7 років тому +1

    It comes with the cheapest seat sold, its flat & makes you feel like your sliding off the back, they sell bikes with components that will make you want to change them, seat, exhaust, suspension & breaks, not to mention the no power & death wobble issues.

      Dego Motovlogs one more question do these bikes show the temp on the gauge cluster? Cant find it on my 2016, new to sportsters.

    • @Degovernator
      @Degovernator  6 років тому
