Hey Liam!!! How are you my friend!!! I hope that all is well for you, looking forward to hearing ANYTHING that you record!!!!!!!!😊God blessyou my friend keep sharing your gift!!!!!
I have a ultra Jazz V on the way, any tips to achieving this type of tone before i dump the premap for a sadowsky or East preamp and the Barts? sounds so damn good.
I bought an Ultra myself this year. I thought about messing with the preamp and pickups but it does bring something of its own to the table as is. It has a thick middle grow that I haven't heard anywhere else. No doubt if you swapped for a John east and Barts it would sound like this though. Good luck and let me know if you do decide mod it, I'd be interested in the result!
@@HudaNeiburg interesting question…. The 5 string jazz is definitely the bread and butter bass, or the everyday gig/studio bass if you will. It’s what I’m most comfortable on and feels like home. The TRB’s or sixers come out when I’m in creative mode, generally writing stuff, or when there’s a specific call for it. Obviously they enable more options with chord/melody stuff. Hope that answers it. Cheers for listening!
This is like the old school weather channel but in the best way. Wow
Great tone...
Great stuff Liam 🔥
Outstanding playing and great tone!!!

Sounds really amazing! Are you using any plug ins in your DAW? Or is this just straight Vanderkley?
Thanks a lot. Just compression and a bit of saturation in the DAW.

When and for what do you use your 5 string jazz bass and when do you use your 6 string TRB’s?
