- A decorated San Antonio Police Department SWAT officer served a five-day suspension this fall after an internal affairs investigation showed he left work in the middle of his shift and spent close to three hours at a Southeast Side hotel.
Bet a dollar to a doughnut that the guy who refused to charge these cops is guilty of the same thing.

Although some cops get fired for various reasons, they are much less likely to be fired for misbehavior than are employees in private business who commit similar misbehavior. In Texas, it is easy for private businesses to fire employees, unlike cops who often receive mild discipline instead of being fired.
