Great video Phil, that was a long day of silage. I like your set up with ice cream and all the different things that you and Liv have going very clean and net you all do well.
@@Johnnycambell then obviously you ain't no farmer. During harvest times, lucky to get 2-3 hrs sleep. Harvest can be grass and or grain. When it's time, it's always a race against weather.
They say 3-4 weeks for silage after Hurler so you've got it right there - but you'd always have a bit of a concern when they say that you still have to be careful of using the dung that long after. These sprays are unavoidable on some land, but Jaysus they're horrible things
Hi phill and Liz. Home from America going to your shop not sure when and would love to meet farmer Phil But know that is impossible we love Liz more anyway. Hopefully we get to the sunflower patch and I wouldn’t mind having a chat with father Phil as I think we are the same age only difference is I went to America 30 years ago. I’m from Cavan. Not far from Wilton’s
Great video. Another long day… great variety from early morning to last out of the customer’s yard with the shovel. Hope the Tullamore Show went well for you, thankfully the weather stayed dry. Keep up the good work.
Oh man Phil you need to buy an ice cream van I can see you and Father Phil driving around longford in the evening selling cones I would be no good I would eat as much as I sold😂
Im not a farner but i used to do contracting im amazed how u and Liv and father Phill keep track on fields! Especially when u mentioned about d spray! 👍
Phil, at this time of the year could you bale same day as cutting? I did a few weeks ago and I’m hoping they will be fine, they sagged a bit but very little if any effluent
You won't be told anything on that subject, like many internal food and chemical issues, its not or won't be publicised in the interests of money. Of course the effects are atrocious like roundup burning off cereals and potatoes. Then people complain about cancer incidence and other health issues.
@@patrickkelly1055 roundup is proven beyond any doubt in cancer rates, high use more prostate etc. But with research restricted, agriculture éducation indoctrinated to chemical use, those who see and farmers who use these wont ever listen no matter what conséquence. Work and stress doesn’t get any harder than in farming, thank god some can do it or we would all starve, thank you Phil and family.

This is the life of a farmer, one rarely ever gets enough sleep/rest.
