- Radiohead, at Glastonbury Festival in 2003, playing "Everything In Its Right Place".
By 2003 most people had accepted the idea that it was no longer possible to crash the festival and hence it is recognised as one of the most successful years to date. The number of tickets available to the public was increased slightly over 2002, partially in response to criticism that the 2002 festival was underpopulated and lacked atmosphere. The tickets sold out within one day of going on sale, in marked contrast to the two months it took to sell a similar number in 2002. It was also the first year that tickets sold out before the full lineup was announced.
This was also the year Radiohead returned to headline the Pyramid Stage.
Revenue raised for good causes from ticket and commercial licence sales topped £1 million, half of which went to Oxfam, Greenpeace and Water Aid.

Day after day, night after night, I get a different feeling. Happy, sad, angry, confused, and everything in between. This song always gives me chills because of the mixed emotions I get each time I give. Everything fits in, everything is perfect, everything in its right place. Kudos Radiohead.

my thoughts on the clapping situation...remember that sound doesn't happen immediately everywhere. The sound of the music has to get out to the audience (and that's a huge audience) and their clapping has to get back to the microphones. People might be clapping in time with the music that they hear but that isn't exactly the same time as the rest of the audience so...mess of clapping.

Yes this is true... BUT Ed tries to direct the crowd in this... he is actually using the audience as an instrument when they perform this live. He uses it as a loop... so yes I agree with your comment but at the same time it's all part of seeing radiohead live... they take us to church.
Audiences could solve this by NOT CLAPPING.
2021 and their music is still ahead of the times we live in.

I was there, right on the front fence. Where the girl who waited all day shouting 'I love you Thom', then passed out as he walked on stage. We took the gap as she was carted off.
I couldnt get enough of this song when I had the "I might be wrong" C.D. I played, it, and played, it, and played it. It never gets old.

20 years ago wow..I was there to the left of the stage.......great improvisation from Jonny Greenwood....had a great of view during this song.....good times....
i love how they do this. the rhythm and main melody are held solid the whole time, but Johnny and Ed (the two guys squatting down) can add these crazy random elements that give it a totally new feel.
This was quite possibly the best show of all time

this song kicks so much ass live.
you know the greatest thing about this song is that it has 3 lines, more or less the same chord progression the whole way through and i think a kaoss pad making all the synth noises, i mean how much more simple could it get, yet they manage to take you to a different place.

I love that funky stuff they do at like 3:30 or so, and then by 3:45 Thom can't hold back from smiling.
@josephmalekzadeh So Jonny is using a a Kaos pad on Thom's voice and Thom's voice only, while Ed is using a Line 6 DL4 which he can manipulate the playback of everything minus Thom's voice.

@staalman There are mics pointed at the crowd, which occasionally picks up the other speaker towers despite the distance from the tower from the main stage. It's very noticeable during Radiohead's set.
