Yes. In addition to the Pandemic, half of my town burned down in September and I lost everything. As soon as I found a place to live, bought an Echo, and my first music request was Radiohead. They kept my soul from dying of fear and loneliness.
I had stopped listening to Radiohead, thinking I had outgrown them or that they were remnants from another life I had lived, and then I woke up with them in my head and played the songs I had loved. The first time I heard this song I was in the car with my ex-girlfriend driving her home from Sheffield Uni, it was around midnight I wasn't really paying attention to the radio and then this came on and I absolutley fell in love with it and so did she, over a year has passed and sadly my relationship died but my passion for Radiohead began and to this day this is my favourite song and I will keep it close to my heart for the memories it holds with me and her.
Love this song. The timing of the piano is genius and the mood and ambiance is literally as if you’re in Egypt. They’re brilliant at evoking this same ambience in other tracks such as Subterranean Homesick Alien, Decks Dark and many others 👌
@@1966wilky This is possibly one of my top ten RH songs. But for me I feel a deep sense of loss when I play it. Too many people in my life left behind. By my doing or theirs.
