    Hello Eddy. I don't use this serve in games, but I do practice it in training lessons. With your video, I will take a big step forward in this technique. Thanks a lot for that and keep healthy!

      Hey Franky!
      Yeah I feel you. Took me 9 months to be somewhat confident and to get 7/11 serve attempts on the table.
      You to man :) Hope you can join the UA-cam live that I will be doing in November. Watch along for the World Cup that is happening in US :)

      Would you want me to do a tutorial on how to perform a reverse pendulum serve? It took me like 9 months to be confident and get at least 7/11 serves on a table :)

    • @DublinTableTennisClub
      @DublinTableTennisClub  2 роки тому +1

      9 months for me ha It was such an awkward serve at first especially with the arm movement haha

      @@DublinTableTennisClub i can put 100% on table, just all of them are sidespin, without underspin, so too predictable to use in serious games :-)

    • @DublinTableTennisClub

      Try to make it fast and long then? Or middle long? Those would be trickier :)

    Hello Eddy. This was a really good video. Here can you also tell us where the first bounce should be on your side for a short and long serve. Also how should the follow-through be for the serve and how low should one get? As my serve keeps jumping up. Plz help

    good tutorial, however i came here to look for advice how to minimize serve-errors since i tend to mishit this serve in high preasure situations like when im back 8-10 or something
    seeing u mishitting 2 of ur serve-examples too at the end letting me doubt that u can use it savely in important matchpoints as well ?

    • @DublinTableTennisClub
      @DublinTableTennisClub  Рік тому

      Nah that serve can be learned at a consistent level. I tried to put extra spin to make it look cooler 😅😂
      Add body rotation and follow through your racket ABOVE the table which should help raise the ball and go the direction you wish😊

    Whenever I try this it gets slammed back does that just means I am not getting it low enough or am I doing something else wrong.

    • @DublinTableTennisClub
      @DublinTableTennisClub  10 місяців тому

      Uhh yeah if it is replied back easily then for sure it is. Not a lot of people have flicked that serve against me no matter how strong of an opponent he is.
      So, first try to practice to use a LOT more wrist action for the serve. Try to add an extension follow through as well to give more of a kick of whatever spin you provide.
      Yes being lower and making contact low as possible will help, but I think it’s more about the overall quality.

  • @bakervinci163

      Haha get a tennis racket??
      But yeah, I low key do not remove my left arm on the contact. Very grey area there, but it is the default of just mindless practice / coach not taking it as serious as it should be.

  • @BulkHealth

    So many things wrong with this video. Zhang Jike, probably the best rev pendulum server ever. High elbow, certainly not low.

    • @DublinTableTennisClub
      @DublinTableTennisClub  9 місяців тому

      Yeah that is why it has been updated and adapted. The high elbow comes with positives, but it also comes with negatives that it is easy to read and understand it's placement. No chance for deception. Why Chinese coaches do no courages the technique style and Zhang Jike is the last known player in the recent history to play like that.
      Ma Long surely does not do it and FZD adapted in between of those players when he wants to emphasize. But, even so the elbow is still valuable, but need to be careful with it.
