This is the first recipe I ever made from Allrecipes when I really started getting into cooking, long before UA-cam was even a thing. I'm still told that of all the recipes I've ever found and made, it's the best one.

Love a good potato soup. It's one thing my vegetarian husband will eat (hold the bacon).
All you need to go with that bowl of potato soup is some cornbread. Sounds so good!

This looks amazing! I baked some potatoes over charcoal recently and used them for soup--unbelievable!
You can use crème fraiche if you want since the chances of it breaking are less than they are with traditional sour cream.

I add the cream cheese as a condiment. Not in the soup.

I've never heard of left over mashed potatoes after Thanksgiving (or after any meal).😂

The recipe I use has the cheese on top when served. I like that it doesn’t have cheese in it. Makes it gloppy
I use chicken broth, and cream cheese, add bacon bits, ni milk or reg cheese or sour cream. Think i found recipe on AR
When did you add the chicken broth? I love potato soup but I refrain if it's too rich. I've also never made it before
