I don't think it's as underrated as the other 2, "1080" was a popular million seller/Player's Choice game, scored high in Nintendo Power magazine Player's polls, and got a GameCube sequel.

I am literally crying at Jet Force Gemini.... this game is one of the few things me and my dad could bond over, as this was before I realized I was a sci-fi nerd, and my dad was a closet nerd.... realized it too late sadly. RIP Dad, Imma finally beat this game for you.

Yes! Harvest Moon 64 was my first Harvest Moon game I've ever played and I always wanted to play Jet Force Gemini ever since hearing how great it is (notably from Nitro Rad lol)

OMG! YES! I loved Jet Force Gemini as a kid and I still play it on my N64! I can't believe they're bringing it to the Switch! I hope it gets more love and eventually an update

Do you agree that it's inferior to Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town? (Personally I haven't played Harvest Moon 64, but it seems to be the popular opinion that Friends of Mineral Town is the best game in the series)
@@607 Friends of Mineral Town should objectively be better, but there’s a charm about 64 that it can’t replicate.
It's a buggy, poorly translated, typo-riddled mess and I love it.
JET FORCE GEMINI!!!!!!!!! One of the best titles of the N64 baby! Y'all should give it a try. It was very interesting game for the time. The only part that was bad was the N64 having one control stick. I wonder if this version will let you use both sticks. Hmm
C buttons mapped to one of the sticks. Though you'll probably have to make a custom button map setting in the system menu lile with Golddneye.
Honestly, didn't bother me as a kid as back then the one stick N64 controller was all we had and all I was used to. We didn't start getting controllers with 2 sticks until the PS1 later on made the dual stick, and it wasn't commonplace until the PS2/GameCube/XB era.
Not gonna lie, I like the added effort put into this trailer.

Jet Force Gemini was my personal favorite N64 all times back in 2003 as 9 age kid.

I never thought I’d see the day Harvest Moon 64 would get some attention.
It’s so much more than a farm sim. Up with the greats of the N64 as far as story and soundtrack.
Wish they would make a remake of it. A few tweaks , like longer game days etc... that'd be so good..
I love how it's a true sequel to the first Harvest Moon, sadly Back to Nature ruined it making the chars having different roles, personalities and even families.

3 great N64 games, and 2 are very underrated. Harvest Moon 64 is a nice relaxing RPG, and Jet Force Gemini is an underrated Rareware classic, and shows why Rare was considered one of the best developers for N64.

@@TiringCoyote that would honestly be too many. The game is already long enough as is with 200 gold bananas, and some from some rather hard/unfair minigames.
@@beauwalker9820That stupid mini game where you had to be a crocodile luring the Gnawtys into the center of the room always got me furious.
Even worse when doing the final mission where you had to stop the blast-o-matic, and that mini game was included while you're on a time limit.
Nah we good fam, dk64 is already perfect as it is, even with all that force collectibles.
I would rather they just releasing DK64 with a quick character swap on dpad so you don't have to return to a barrel just to get different coloured banana lol

This is such a blast from the past. I remember my brothers and I playing a lot of 1080 and harvest moon growing up.
Jet force gemini was one of the greatest most original game ever made. Its a shame it did not get its recognition it deserves.

I'd say give us Blast Corps, DK64, Banjo Tooie, and Diddy Kong Racing on the base N64 App, and then if they decide to give us an 18+ app like they gave to Japan, then give us Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct, (was that even rated M?) and if they are feeling bold, Conker's Bad Fur Day. Then we will have pretty much all of Rare's catalog of original titles on N64, sans Mickey Speedway USA. Basically NSO will turn into Rare Replay. And then there's the high quality Rare titles on GBA, they could give us those next. There's even some classic Rare games on GB and GBC, for the base NSO users. So many possibilities for this service to grow and get better. Keep em coming, Nintendo!
Blast Corps is an underrated Rareware game too. We need more Rareware games.

1080 snowboarding was awesome, and im so glad we got it. 1080 avalanche was just amazing on gamecube
Harvest Moon and Jet Force were my friggin life.. cant wait to finally try and beat Mizar (Spelling?). 1080 was a lot of fun, but landing was notoriously hard lol.. but I loved that game. I am hoping for snowboard kids next though :p

Jet Force Gemini's soundtrack is one of the most epic on the N64.
I remember those games as a kid. It's actually pretty cool that we're seeing Rareware games on the Nintendo Switch Online service. Banjo-Kazooie was one but I'm wondering now if we'll end up seeing Banjo-Tooie next. I'm still waiting on Donkey Kong 64.
Surprised we don't have "Tooie" yet, though maybe they're trying to impliment the "Stop and Swap" feature.
@@beauwalker9820 I think I has the potential solution: they should make a version of B-K that uses the Memory Pak, mainly useless unless you've beaten the game, then you collect those secrets, and transfer them to Banjo Tooie with it inserted. Rare could make Physical Carts that utilize the Memory Pak principle, and Limited Run Games could sell them.

Jet Force Gemini was one of my favorites on the N64. Too bad Microsoft and Rare won’t do anything to make a follow up.
Kinda difficult to do as the game sadly wasn't very popular or high selling, (shame as it's quite good, even if you aren't a fan of shooters) and let's not forget Rareware is kinda dead now, with most of it's original staff working at other developers, and such.
And Microsoft seems fine just sitting on Rare's famous properties... I did surprisingly see a Banjo Kazooie plush at a Target store recently with a bunch of Mario, and Sonic plushes.

This is possibly the best NSO Expansion Pack update we've gotten, simply for the number of great games on offer. There's so much variety here too! There's a little something for everyone on this list! I'm so happy I could just scream!

I was so bummed I missed grabbing Harvest Moon 64 before the Wii U ship shut down. Really happy it’s been added to Switch Online. I was already stoked for Jet Force Gemini, but getting these two along with 1080° Snowboarding is such an adding early birthday gift from Nintendo!
So surreal that Jet Force Gemini came to Switch before Diddy Kong Racing and Donkey Kong 64, you know, two games that actually star characters that Nintendo owns.
I'm not complaining though, the more Rare games, the better.
Harvest Moon 64 is my favorite harvest moon / story of seasons game. The world just felt so real.

Considering that Japan has an 18+ version of NSO, those two games are definitely possible along with Killer Instinct Gold.
Edit: Australia is confirmed to get the 18+ NSO app too so it's more likely now

Jet Force Gemini was so hard, especially the prying mantises boss. Could only beat it once with 2 players, not a second time with 2 players. Then I just wandered until I couldn't figure out what was next. Still have the save file and don't know what I'd do to keep going.
The second mizar Fight was hard!
Love these additons! Hate to complain but it feels like they should have paced these drops a lot better than "wait months upon months then release everything."

Yeah when they announced all the games that were incoming back in the November 2022 direct I figured we'd have them all by late summer at least, but its been 13 months since and they're finally completing that slate with 1080 Snowboarding's release. 3 games at once though is a very pleasant surprise, I'll give them that haha
