In this episode of my Recreation Duration series, I live commentate while I try to complete shrines and get spirit orbs in the Master Mode DLC. Also, I try fighting a Gold Lynel for the first time! I’ve got ptsd after accidentally walking into my first lynel fight

I was hiding on a cliff and watched it put up its arrow and one shot kill me with a shock arrow. It scared me so badly...
same. as soon as i saw him walk into the desert i got nervous

I screamed the first time I fought a Lynel. t^t
I spent an hour trying over and over to kill my first lynel. After what felt like an eternity I finally killed it.
And then a blood moon popped up three seconds later.

@Troy Vries it's all open world m8. Get what you need, overcome dungeons and other challenges, and become stronger.

The game can be considered "easy" because it doesn't bottleneck you through difficult challenges and bosses, so a strategy of running away from Lynels and collecting hearts/stamina/abilities/equipment will allow you to breeze past them later. Not that that's necessarily any fun. Depends on your priorities.

I think most enemies upgrade colors as you take more of em out. So yeah, if you take out every lynel you see, you should end up with pretty much nothing but gold ones eventually :)

Here’s a tip while fighting Lynels,
When you mount the Lynel and get kicked off, you can trigger bullet time to get some extra damage in because you get kicked off *midair*
Also if you use my tip. You can shoot the lynel in the neck and it counts as a critical
yup I know! you can actually see me do that in this video
The lynels are so easy if you go to a normal place where there is no hot or cold weather and no rain because you can shoot the ground with a bomb arrow and it catches on fire and the steam makes you fly in the air then you hit him in the head and then repeat

I’m with you on no parry and flurry rush, just couldn’t get the hang of it. And you’re right it’s not hard without them, I’m almost 100 percent on master mode using alternative methods.

Master mode's difficulty is hogh in the beginning but as soon as you kill that lynel before leaving the plateau the difficulty DROPS then you can just go to the castle for guardian farm and get some royal/royal guard weapons/bows/shield

What I like to do for healing is to go to satori mountain and other places with hearty durians and then cook them one by one for a full restore and 4 extra hearts

Tbh a couple arrows to the face (rock, for a talus) could kill anything
