Yeah as one ENTP, i would say probably not lol (assuming its a party I want to be at in the first place). With so many new people and combinations, why would I seek out the same old "tribe" Im familiar with and/or see often? Like what a waste
As an INTP, I'll normally take the INTJ approach of just not showing up, unless all of the following conditions are met: 1) The party is organized by someone I know and care about; 2) I know most of the other guests and find them bearable to talk to; 3) There's a substantial meal involved, not just drinks and chips/nachos; 4) I'm not expected to do much beyond attending, eating and talking, unless it's something I really enjoy (i.e. not drinking, singing and dancing).

INTP here. I've known more xSFJs than I can even begin to count, including my parents. While we experience the world in very different ways most of the time, and my house is NEVER going to be as tidy as theirs, there's no one I trust more to look out for the people around them, be they friends, family or a random stranger who wandered too close. They ALWAYS give more than they take. At the states challenge, I instinctively paused the video and started listing all the states in my head, concluding that they can most definitely all be named in the space of an average party. I’m an INTP. It’s scary sometimes how predictable that makes me.
Here it goes: completely another meaning and atmosphere of a "party" from an ESFP one, and I'd better go to ESFP's for sure. Lol, I'd put me in "will help so they don't have to talk to people". As an INFJ, I always find myself helping clean dishes, set the table, etc., just to avoid socializing for a while. I even rewash things just to delay going back into the sensory-overload action (...and extraverts). *terrified look* But yes, the xSFJ's passive-agressive looks will work on me. To this day, every time I try a new tea, I read the description to see whether it would work as a 'type'. Actually, I don't even need to try them, I just stand in the shop, reading the boxes.
Challenge Accepted: Arizona, Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, Missouri, Minnesota, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Nevada, New Hampshire, NOrth Carolina, North Dakota, New Mexico, Oregon, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Utah, South Carolina, South Dakota, Washington, California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, Wisconsin (best one ;) ), Nebraska, Wyoming, Vermont, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Texas - 15 minutes (longer than it used to take when my brain box was fresher) - INFP (and, yes, Wisconsin is the best one :) )
States are pretty simple, just read them off a map in your head. Never do people say it has to be done in alphabetical order. :) I had them memorized by 2000 population (California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois .....Vermont, DC, Wyoming) once, but haven't kept up with more recent censuses and the memory from back then is fuzzy.
@@Necro3Monk My Grandma didn't say it HAD to be alphabetical, but she recommended it. Yes, picturing a map of the states is a good way too - or remembering which ones one might have visited. Well, yes, but are you Australian? (An Australian who randomly adores Wisconsin, perhaps? I always thought that was a lovely name, by the way, along with Vermont.) I have never heard of this gift giving things for parties. Closest I've heard is "Oh yeah, its your job to bring X food to the party" and everyone is supposed to bring something so its not expensive for the host.
As an INTJ I attended a party ONCE in my entire life and it was my best friends birthday party. And I went there only because my bf is an ENTP and he thought that telling everyone that there will be a party is organised enough [he didn't even mention an hour, nor date], so I was obligated to help. Never again, parties are boring.
I love how Kristin's ESFJ characters has changed from the Mary Poppins-like vibes of her earlier work (case in point: "The 16 Personalities' Inner Monologs at A Party "), to the catty, passive-aggressive vibe of her latest videos (cases in point: ""The 16 Personalities Through The Eyes Of An ISFJ," "The 16 Personalities Working Retail," and "The 16 Personalities at A Parent-teacher Conference.").
I love the infj part about giving us the passively aggressive smile to make us join. Which is honestly true because sometimes, deep down I do feel guilty. 😅
Yeah it's the same with ENFJs but I think we simply agree and it pushes us to want to be more Extraverted with Fe. We're not going to take it as negatively as other Introverts I feel like.
As an INTJ...meta-discussions about the party would entice me. Like, pretend "throwing the party is a strategy game" explain some basic concepts and how to spot them and then set me loose. Because if you frame a party as something I can optimize...Imma wanna optimize it.
I was thinking this exact same thing 😭 as an INTJ, I quickly become the vice president of the party to, not only optimize it, but also to always know everything going on and never be surprised by an activity. I also love gossip and being in the know so I can handle awkard situations with more ease.
ENFP are great gifters when we want to be and it's unexpected, just because. Bringing a gift because it's expected is completely different. It doesn't mean anything.

Well as an INTP i'm not gonna show up to the party unless you are a close friend and I am very social with my close friends. If i am unexpectedly found in a stranger's party i will gladly join the kids table with INFP they are cool.
As an INTJ who has been forced to be present for some parties by my ESTJ mother, we're either helpful so we don't have to socialise (but the loud environment and lots of people drain us pretty quickly) or vibing introvertly at the kids table. Though that is if we're genuinely forced to stay and cannot escape. My mum's 50th birthday party went on until about 3 am and I left with my ISFJ grandma around 9 pm after four hours of waiting for it to be over with earplugs in because I don't have a car and grandma was driving. My ideal image of a "party" is a quiet discussion of various sociopolitically-philosophical-environmental-literary topics at the library - if I somehow am sure that there won't be people making wild claims having done zero research and getting personally offended by constructive feedback. I would actually be more than happy to attend this kind of a party with once a week to once a month frequency. Still would probably be stressed out as hell about the first few. PS: When I was a child, I kid you not, the most blissful parts of visiting any friends of my parents who had children was finding their room in terrible mess and being allowed to clean it up. It was amazing, I once spent half a birthday party of some girl reorganising the furniture in her dollhouse. My Se is miserably weak but the Si, inherited along with some OCD from my grandma, is thriving. Thanks for listening to my TED talk.
ENFP here, i get what you mean with the forget to bring a gift thing but i however ALWAYS bring gifts that i made myself three seconds before the party. And they are pretty creative most of the times because i am scared that the person i gift will be disappointed lmao
I am so pleasantly surprised by the ISFP placement! This shows your understanding of us and that you didn't base this purely on an introvert stereotype, because among the Ixxx types, we're truly the ones closest to being extroverted. We're just...extremely picky about when we do it 😆 An ISFP will be very active at your party...if they decide to show up!
I would definitely end up at the Kids' Table, since I'm an INFJ who rarely attends parties, so wouldn't get on well with Marty. She likely wouldn't even know who I am! 😹
Me, an ESFP (before the video started): "Oh, this ESFJ would put me in S tier but watch, she's gonna be jealous and stick me in A tier instead." Kristen you totally get it xD

0:37 So much for saying to Brad that he is not invited in that one party video (I don't remember the exact title but that's where brad and becky broke up or something and the ESTJ noticed that the image on the ENTP's sunglasses don't quite match the background)
I am an ESFJ and I always avoid the passive agressive approach, I've noticed we do have this tendency and it can make people feel awful which is something we definitely don't want. I feel that I've also had time to mature some things with time, there must be some advantage of turning 42 lol. Anyways, thanks for this, because as much as I don't see myself in this behaviour anymore, I entirely agree with the list and it can actually be useful to manage different folks during a party 😅
As an INTP who is only a couple of strong drinks away from being an ENTP, if there is booze at the kids table, the ESFJ should be ready for a vibe change.
Currently having a little situation with an ESFJ girl who tries to interpret everything I say into something highly vulnerable emotional, even though it is purely fact based. She got a ragy backlash from me and still tries to become 'close'. Super annoying. All ISTPs be warned ;) On the others side: I have a language-learning-tandem-ESFJ-friend. So if the relationship has a clear purpose, ESFJs can be very useful... especially with consistent meetings :)

@@kyurei4478 well, it's partly a joke, I just don't like parties and won't come either way. She would much more prefer if I was chatty and funny, and I would prefer her to be a little more serious and deep. Well, we slowly learn to accept each other, and by the way, Kristin's content helps me tons in this!
@@Vistlivia Yeah, I suppose you won't. I get being clever is most likely not on her OWN list of values and she probably finds clever people boring herself. But if she's ESFJ, she's most likely capable to get that other people might find it fascinating and valuable like you do. So asking you to come would most likely be a way to lure you yes, but in order to please others who would be interested in having you here cause your presence would be valued by them. ESFJs are people pleasers. But yeah, maybe she would personally prefer you could be different but still recognizes your value for other kinds of people. For this reason, maybe you see her intentions as more fake than they actually are. I mean, why else would she want you to be here other than because you're valuable for others and because you're still her child ? Maybe you should try to ask her, just in case. And if you find clever people fascinating, that means other people might find it fascinating too anyway. No matter the answer, I'm sure she wants you to be here no matter what because you're still her child and she loves you, no matter if you both have very different personal interests. What about the INFP who brings a handmade gift (if it’s a birthday/ baby shower etc.) because they’re an artist but then proceeds to hang out by the snack table and/or play with the pets the whole time? … Asking for a friend 👀
The INTP, INFP, ENTP’s and even INTJ’s will scan the whole room for finding their own tribe; and if not sit by themselves
Nah, ENTPs wil just find somebody to talk to and make their tribe. INTJs are would-be kids' table members though I do concede on that
Yeah as one ENTP, i would say probably not lol (assuming its a party I want to be at in the first place). With so many new people and combinations, why would I seek out the same old "tribe" Im familiar with and/or see often? Like what a waste
Mostly this means to sit by themselves or talk to the only other intro for the whole evening.
I just imagine INFP and INTP sitting at the kids table, drinking tea and trying to realize where they are
As an INTP, I'll normally take the INTJ approach of just not showing up, unless all of the following conditions are met: 1) The party is organized by someone I know and care about; 2) I know most of the other guests and find them bearable to talk to; 3) There's a substantial meal involved, not just drinks and chips/nachos; 4) I'm not expected to do much beyond attending, eating and talking, unless it's something I really enjoy (i.e. not drinking, singing and dancing).
INFJ here. Same goes for me.
Which is why I rarely attend (or am invited to parties. I don't mind though. I'd rather spend a cozy evening at home than go to a cumbersome (or boring) party.
side note: Obligatory after work "parties" with colleagues are the worst. 😑
This is why I always ghost people who sent me party invitations if I didn't care about them enough. Never reply to their texts either. Thanjs -INTP
As an INTP, I do agree. But I have tried to make it a game to switch to our mirror function for parties with some psychological force (entj) and then go there, behave as if the party was mine and kiss all the girls. It does work!
I am an INTP too, but I usually make an effort to attend if there is chance that there will be interesting people
They may not understand my point of view 73.6% of the time (which, coincidentally, is the same percentage of statistics that are made up on the spot), but they're always there when they're needed.
Just know that your statistics joke is appreciated. It made me feel unexplainably fuzzy.
@@LiorTamir 😉
That's all true but they are still awkward and waste their lives with lots of nonsense, right?
@@CIA.2024-u9b "...waste their lives with lots of nonsense..."
My ESTJ sister would probably say that, but no, I don't agree at all. xSFJs are all about family and friends and making sure they're protected and provided for. That's about as far from "nonsense" as I can fathom. Sure, they get fixated on odd details and get stuck in their ways... but that's true of most types in one way or another. They're the backbone of any society.

Not akward at all!
Not awkward at all!
I don't honestly know why it was so good. But that has to be my favourite in the tier-ranking category.
As an INTP with an ESFJ mom , I can confirm she hella judgy, this lady loves to cook and party.
as Kristin innocently claims that ENFJs wouldn't try to rearrange stuff behind ur back . . .my Mother. . .a TRUE ENFJ . . . rearranges not only tea towels. NOT only the whole Kitchen and contents BUT will redecorate ur whole house and life if they get the chance. . .
(ENTP)
Also having an INTJ regularly coming to my house for entertainment, cozy watching/playing parties etc and always asking for more time together I treasure it now even more after looking at this ESFJ xD
The real party is at the

Heck yeah! Adults are boring. Let’s go out in the yard and make mud pies and play with their pets 😂
I love how INFP doesn't even know where they are and INTP is just too slow and ENTP doesn't know how to say 'hello' and 'thank you'
Lol, I'd put me in "will help so they don't have to talk to people". As an INFJ, I always find myself helping clean dishes, set the table, etc., just to avoid socializing for a while. I even rewash things just to delay going back into the sensory-overload action (...and extraverts). *terrified look* But yes, the xSFJ's passive-agressive looks will work on me. And I do end up in a secluded corner with a circle of other introverts, haha.

unrelated but i remembered a while ago how i much i miss typing teas 😭
It's all related! Bring it in, sista! jk Typing teas rocked.
To this day, every time I try a new tea, I read the description to see whether it would work as a 'type'.
Actually, I don't even need to try them, I just stand in the shop, reading the boxes.
I can feel the passive aggression of the esfj seeping through the screen
"There's something to be learned for everyone in this video"

Funny how both ESFX types based their tier list on how they both would rank the types on how they would be at parties
This was a mood increaser! Well done K! The segment into intuitive types and the kids table haha
That was so fun to watch! I'm so impressed how great you can characterize all these types!
I had them memorized by 2000 population (California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois .....Vermont, DC, Wyoming) once, but haven't kept up with more recent censuses and the memory from back then is fuzzy.
@@Necro3Monk My Grandma didn't say it HAD to be alphabetical, but she recommended it. Yes, picturing a map of the states is a good way too - or remembering which ones one might have visited. I did know all of the capitals (and a lot of world city capitals back in the day... my Grandpa used to test me when i was in grade school - i was/am such a history/geography nerd :) )
By census is a very unusual way - interesting
Well, yes, but are you Australian? (An Australian who randomly adores Wisconsin, perhaps? I always thought that was a lovely name, by the way, along with Vermont.)
But, you see, this is something Australians challenge each other to do, because it's a bit obscure to us. They all seem familiar, but when listing them out, we're prone to overlook the ones that have fewer disaster movies made about them.
😉
@@huntedsnark7507 no, I live in the States (Wisconsin 😊) and, yes, it is a lovely name. I do like Vermont too. Both have very pretty landscapes too. We have a lot of lakes here.... And forests 😊
@jackies1729 I've always been rather in awe of northern hemisphere temperate forests. 😁
I have never heard of this gift giving things for parties.
Lol sounds like cope to avoid getting out of your comfort zone & engaging that Se. Parties are only boring if you are

INFJ here. I'd firmly put myself in the "will help so they don't have to talk to people" category. 😅
Yeah me too as an INFJ. That would be a good alternative 😆.

Teaming up with INFPs ✨
I rewind that part to hear again as I can confirm its true ... :) ... as IN..
Yeah it's the same with ENFJs but I think we simply agree and it pushes us to want to be more Extraverted with Fe. We're not going to take it as negatively as other Introverts I feel like.
As an INTJ...meta-discussions about the party would entice me.
Like, pretend "throwing the party is a strategy game" explain some basic concepts and how to spot them
and then set me loose.
Another corker to add to this hilarious series! 😂
ENFP are great gifters when we want to be and it's unexpected, just because. Bringing a gift because it's expected is completely different. It doesn't mean anything.
Yep, true!
Me at a house party...get my security beverage...guzzle security beverage then get stability beverage...inspect all bookshelves and knickknacks to gain information on established values of the domain...find observation perch where I will spend the rest of the party ~INTP
One of my favorite videos you’ve done!
this is awesome!! I love it your acting is fab! -Enfj

That line slaps hard ngl
ENFP here, i get what you mean with the forget to bring a gift thing but i however ALWAYS bring gifts that i made myself three seconds before the party. And they are pretty creative most of the times because i am scared that the person i gift will be disappointed lmao
I am so pleasantly surprised by the ISFP placement! This shows your understanding of us and that you didn't base this purely on an introvert stereotype, because among the Ixxx types, we're truly the ones closest to being extroverted. We're just...extremely picky about when we do it 😆 An ISFP will be very active at your party...if they decide to show up!
I was explaining to my intp sister how you were an esfp pretending to be an esfj ranking the other mbti types
“Wow that’s meta” haha
About right. The infp would go to the kids table. We are kids at heart
As an INFP... Yes Kids Table 💖💖💖
Lol I’m cracking 😂 ESFJ to us ENTP is like karen next door. Hahahahhahhaha
As an INTP, you absolutely nailed how I would be at my first job in the ESTJ video.
INFP so accurate, I literally played with my co-teachers' kids during our Christmas party the whole time
I would definitely end up at the Kids' Table, since I'm an INFJ who rarely attends parties, so wouldn't get on well with Marty. She likely wouldn't even know who I am! 😹
I'd be happy to see you come over and we'd chat about movies all evening long~
@@jashepoon Yes, introvert movie party! That seems right up my alley already.
I am an ENFJ and I fully agree to this explanation. 😂 But my tea towels are folded properly!
I feel so happy when you post I love your videos so much they always make me smile ❤❤
In the name of all other types, you do not have to bring a gift.
Me, an ESFP (before the video started): "Oh, this ESFJ would put me in S tier but watch, she's gonna be jealous and stick me in A tier instead." Kristen you totally get it xD
This was ultra clever. Will definitely re-watch.
INTP here: if you don't have a cat, rent one. We love cats and will stay all night to pet one.
I see you're cat lover

same here -isfp
Yes, I will go talk to all the pets over the people.
As an ENTP I never forget to bring gifts buuuut by the time I’m ready to leave a party, it’s because I’m drained and will not be putting in the effort to get stuck in an additional ten minute goodbye 😂
0:37 So much for saying to Brad that he is not invited in that one party video (I don't remember the exact title but that's where brad and becky broke up or something and the ESTJ noticed that the image on the ENTP's sunglasses don't quite match the background)
....I am so surprised people should bring gifts to parties. Now i am rethinking etiquete.
-ISFJ
I am so happy you put us in the vibe change category. Now find an ENTJ with ADHD and see how much of a vibe change we can be (aka me).
"eating all the food without giving back any small talk" just screams Esfj
I clicked off the video as she said before you click off the video LOL😂 😭
As an INTJ who actually shows up to the ESFJ`s parties (his house is within walking distance) I appreciate being put in S tier.
So if the relationship has a clear purpose, ESFJs can be very useful... especially with consistent meetings :)
as an INTJ, I can confirm that ranking me in 'super guest' is pretty honorable and it made me love you. 🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰
When I saw this video, I kid u not, I squealed so loud my parents were wondering what’s wrong. I got so excited because I love these videos so much ❤.

I knew where I belonged as soon as I saw the last category.
Leave me some books, crayons, paper and puzzles. Can we swim after?
This is 100% my mom 😂 and it’s even better because she’s an ESFJ and my dad’s an ENTP and that take is 100% what happens at parties 😂😂

I have an Esfj friend and she really see me like a filler… I guess it’s because im not an extrovert 😭-ISFJ
as an intj, i never show up to parties.. especially when there's a big group around. but my best friend (enfj) is jus the life of the party. it's like we're 2 sides of a coin.
sometimes, she tells me about how to trap people into liking you at a party and whatnot but.. i don't really see the point of it
As an INTJ, I can confirm, that this is an exact strategy my ESFJ mother uses to lure me into the parties. "Oh, you're such a gift for the party, you're so... clever! People like to talk to clever people, you should come!"
And I can confirm that I never come
Because you take it from the lure aspect and her own personal motivations but have you ever considered that might simply be true regardless?
@@kyurei4478 well, it's partly a joke, I just don't like parties and won't come either way. But still she may be luring me, because being clever is not on her list of values, and she often describe other clever people as just boring, though for me they are fascinating.
INFJ at your service btw. Kristin's content is a blessing.
3:14 oh you think you can control us istps, oh trust me, if someone tries to ruin my isolated fun, I can turn my practical help into a practical nightmare :> (here’s a tip, don’t give me fire duty)
Yes! I was waiting for this one,I think my friend is ESFJ.
As an ENFP that has only heard the tier descriptions, I was tempted to put myself in tier 1 until I heard "vibe change" because that sounds so potential me. Oh wait...me and ENTPs are going to the kids table
After the video: omg what! I AM the gift at a party! 😂
as an enfj i fully love the quality of not noticing the glass being knocked down being valued HAHAHA i ALWAYS feel anxious about that especially with xSFJs present fjsdfkansd
To me I am a super guest. I bring gifts, show up on time, initiate activities and help cleaning up. However I can see how when there are substances at play my mere pressence might turn a party upside down. -Entj
wow the ESFP one is so accurate it hurts, has to be that ESFJ vibe. or it might be that the maker of this video just knows the ESFP so well :p
