Fun fact: By the time Lily gets to her second type, the ISTP at 5:22, ISTP had already just finished her own ranking of all 16 types (ISTP tier-ranking the 16 personalities)😂
"There _must_ be something more to them" nah not really. We just don't always like people and the ways they do things, so we speak little, and do other things. Short, direct, and to the point. Also, the time zone thing on youtube is wild, some of these comments say they happened 23 hours ago!
@@welcometochaos4 part of the reason why the crazy time lapse appearance is that members of dear Kristin's group get early access to viewing.... I think it's 24 hours? Correct me if I'm wrong please
I love these. I have an INFP coworker who has just about the roughest, most violent past imaginable, and a family in and out of prison. And he STILL gives off this vibe.
My theorie is that most INFPs are traumatized and would have turned out to be ENFPs otherwise (since the first 7 years have the most impact on the human brain). As a INFP myself I relate to your coworker 😅. People consider me to be very wise, I take pride in that because I'm trying to be a better version of myself everyday and I healed my childhood wounds and my depression (it took years of work and the desire to be happy and wanting to life)
@@Cuteemogirl94 I could almost believe that, because the ENFPs I've met have come across as introverted, and the INFP I dated definitely seemed like she was having a hard time with life, in general.
@@Cuteemogirl94 this feels true for me, for sure. I had a very difficult childhood, and think i would have been an ENFP otherwise. I'm bubbly and friendly, but I'm definitely an introvert, and i recognized certain words and speeches in this skit, as ones i use. I also loved the fact the INFP doesn't really give an ef..... She has actual followers and calls it like she sees it..... That's definitely true.... My only filter is to do no harm
@@Cuteemogirl94 Honestly, I'm not sure I agree with that. I may well be one of the few with a very fortunate childhood - in fact, it almost feels like I've spent most of the rest of my life chasing - and failing to recapture - the same kind of happiness and fulfilment I felt when I was young. I've always been imaginative, sometimes overly so, and generally positive by nature. No doubt strange-seeming to people who are very different, mind you, but still. It was only the sense of isolation that I discovered when I began to understand just how different I was to some of my peers (Enneagram 4 and all) that threatened to encroach on that. And while I'm no stranger to general interpersonal struggles, the only two majorly traumatic events I can think of were my parents' divorce (which happened in my mid teens) and my first breakup (in my early twenties). Sometimes I think it's just what we're predisposed to. I got the "old head on young shoulders" thing a fair bit as a child, too. I'm glad you're feeling better now, though. Many times I'm grateful for the foundation I have, but sometimes I wonder if it hasn't given me unrealistic expectations for the rest of life.
Yeah while as INFJs we often get accused of wanting to change people but we're just telling them what the social expectations are and they should conform if they want to make things easier for them because it's general values (Fe). Whereas INFPs sometimes really try to change people to make them correspond to their own values (Fi). Not all of them of course but it can be a tendency.
@@kyurei4478that seems antithetical to the nature of Fi, which isn’t concerned with changing other people, let alone conscripting or forcing them to become something else.
@@atmodlee That really isn't antithetical to Fi's nature though because it's more about judging others based on what feels right to Fi and what the "right" way to act should be. So passive-agressively inciting others to correspond to their own moral values because they think they're right. They're more concerned with people not seeing things as they do if they don't get it, so inciting them to be in the "right" like they are. Otherwise you're a terrible person and should feel ashamed.
@@noidsis No that's precisely what I'm saying, I'm not the one who decides. You don't get it. To give you a comparison, it would be like saying you decide what's funny for others when you say people have no sense of humor. It's social expectations, not my own expectations. It's never about me. Too bad for you if you refuse I guess, not my concern. Maybe you can do it well, maybe you can't, I can't judge on literally nothing. It's just generalities here, not case by case. It being easier isn't the point but rather succeeding to fit in, which doesn't mean you're not yourself because you do if it's easy precisely. Otherwise, that would mean you can't fit in if you're being yourself lol. Hence why compromise matters. Or maybe you just can't do as well by yourself as you pretend. Nope, you Fi users aren't always respectful sadly and the worst ones dare to act like a know it all to say what's morally wrong or right and what people should do according to your personal moral preferences. When you clash with others because of disagreement and can't quit, you surely care too much and don't respect their opinion by judging them. Again, that mostly concerns very immature Fi users. No need to feel concerned if you know you're not.
As an INFP who FINALLY began writing my horror novel this year (after 7 years, yay!!), I myself first label all the characters with MBTI so that I can clearly develop their personalities, actions and traits accordingly 👻 And yes, my main character has a sidekick pet too 💀
Same!! I'm INFJ tho but I felt super attacked when she mentioned the not-writing and only thinking about it, making notes here and there xD after 14 years, ugh, I finally started drafting a few months ago. UA-cam and discord communities did help push me that extra bit. And yes, know all the types for the main/lead characters! :D I'm so happy for you too!
I was feeling so called out by that as an ENFP who after starting and stopping several iterations of a book, finally landed on the story I have now and the format of comics. Me and my brother have typed all of my characters and it’s helped SO MUCH in developing them. My fave is an INFP (the main love interest and side character) and I see this as him ranking his friends in that tier (the tier might look a bit different tho because of his feelings 😂)
Omg I'm working on a webcomic together with my ENTP husband, we do the same 😅 and there is also going to be a important animal for one of the main characters XD and people are going to die ~INFP
This tier list is much more unique and complicated from other types. Not only comes with the specific description of tier list but also the fact, she has her owns narator to correct her motive.
As an INFP I’m constantly correcting myself and trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time not being able to ignore my true feelings about things. She did a really good job putting that way of thinking on display.
@@linmonPIEI believe that's one of the reasons why so manny good Authors and movie directors are INFPs like Hayao Miyazaki, J. R.R. Tolkien, J K Rowling, H.P. Lovecraft, Guillermo Del Toro or Tim Burton. I can see the dark and the beauty in every personality type and human being including serial killers 😅
@@linmonPIE This this THIS. I'm SURE my students get so tired of me putting caveats on everything. BUT OTHERWISE IT'S TOO MUCH OF A GENERALIZATION TO BE TRUE
INFP said that she really can portray any type as any of the groups. As an INTJ, I would love to see her portraying INTJ as a pet and wonder what kind of pet it could be (must roll their eyes a lot)
The "someone special" coming along and transforming 70% of the Thinkers into "poetic, mellow souls" and prompting them to "choose love" was HILARIOUS 😆 The INFP really does believe that everyone has a well of emotions deep down. Except the ESTJ.
I'm sure there are many great ESTJs out there; just not the ones I've met unfortunately. Most ESTJs I know sure do have a well of emotions. And they randomly let them out in burts of anger, yelling, illogic points or being catty. They could care less about other people... but _do_ care a lot about looking cool in front of other people though. Kind of edgy too. They're definitely not above using people for their benefit, or putting others down to stroke their own ego. Actually, a bit egotistic in general. Plus they're bad at understanding people have various struggles that matter just as much as theirs. Again, there are just people I've known, I'd love to read some nice comments about ESTJs!
@@Marina_7 Hi, I'm an ESTJ. The ESTJ subreddit (r/estj) is pretty non-toxic if you want to check it out. Also I'm sure you have met healthy ESTJs and you would be surprised that they are ESTJs, I would guess that you don't know the type of everyone you've met.
Ouch, rude for ESTJs. As an INFJ, I admire their dedication, structure, seriousness and objective consideration before personal feelings. They're just hardworkers and want to keep things efficient to make others benefit from it and keep things running smoothly. They don't let their emotions impact their work and that can be a very good thing. They can struggle to deal with their own emotions in general and even more with respecting the emotions of others but every Thinker struggles with that to some extent. They deserve recognition and love for the good things they do, just like everybody else. Isn't it crazy that they have the exact same functions as INFPs in the end? I think it's very interesting to think about because even if each one is used completely differently, I think there is still ways to relate to them for INFPs. Moreover, I would say you'll never learn more than with your opposite type. Both have so many things to learn from each other.
@@kyurei4478my bf is ESTJ and I'm INFP, and everything you said is true. The differences are hard to work with, but there are many lessons every day in the relationship. As an INTP, I thought the “nonsense” Ne to be interesting and actually listened to and followed along with every word the INFP said. Was getting very comfortable by the end. Good job Kristin for mimicking the magic of Ne so well >_
This video premise has an extra layer of comedy for me, being an INFP currently working on a fantasy series where all 16 personality types make up the main cast
INFP - dragon, which in this world are thought to be hunted to extinction and still viewed negatively, and can take human forms INFJ - human abducted from Earth to the fantasy world due to her unknown magical ancestry, eventually finds out that by birthright she is both the ruler of the fantasy world and technically a god ISTJ - heiress of a noble family, shamed by her family because of a disability they force her to hide in public ISFP - one of few known survivors of the long-running effort to exterminate the fantasy land's natives, a rebel with a cause but certainly without a plan ESTJ - cult leader and false god who uses Illusion magic to fake her powers, used to be next in line as the leader of an assassin's guild that her family has been running for centuries but got disowned and left in the cult instead ISFJ - part of this land's corrupt fantasy law enforcement, which she joined after a comedy of errors turned all her friends against her (she eventually defects) ESTP - used to be an heiress to a noble family but hated it and ran away, she also died and got illegally resurrected by the ISFJ and is now pseudo-immortal ESFP - also ran away from his family as a kid, and got cursed by the ISFJ through the aforementioned comedy of errors, now an unwilling vessel for the most powerful being in the world INTP - part of one of the wealthiest families that isn't outright nobility on account of her family's casino they run, she's got a (scholarly) obsession with skeletons and reanimated a bunch of skeletons to work as staff ISTP - an assassin and the INFJ's twin, she wasn't meant to be abducted with her twin and was just kind of dropped off in the middle of nowhere, where she proceeded to get kidnapped and brainwashed into joining the assassin guild mentioned previously ENTJ - another twin, this time the ESTJ's, she was not fortunate enough to be disowned and is expected to be her mother's living weapon until the day she inherits the guild ENFJ - part of the same cult as the ESTJ and technically the adopted brother of both ExTJs after he became the actual vessel for the god the ESTJ pretends to be, although he keeps it secret for her sake ENTP - guy with problems INTJ - twelve-year-old magical prodigy, has the strongest latent magic in the world, also has narcolepsy and sometimes casts in his sleep ESFJ - another dragon, the INFP's older sister, and unwitting sacrificial lamb of a secret community of surviving dragons ENFP - unbeknownst to her, she's the niece of the guy currently ruling the world, and he needs her to either be on his side or die immediately, and neither of those are very appealing options

Ah, Lily the INFP! I love how Kristin showcases the types in all its humour, yet never misses to catch some incredible nuances all throughout. Brilliantly done, as always ;)
The whole time I was just dying from how real it was, the INFP trying so hard to not stereotype and then promptly jumping back to her default biases... I knew every single one, love the predictability, such a feast for my recently healed ego. Love it. (also, we INTJs couldn't go anywhere else but brooding misunderstood strangers, we're the INFP's ultimate weakness. The "I can fix them" gremlin can't resist. Though I'm offended by the idea I need fixing as I'm probably five times as functional as Lily here (when I'm on medication that is), I'd actually love to perform some therapy on the INFP and debunk how problematic this tendency is. Not that it would have any effect...) Have a nice day, Kristin. :)
For what it's worth, I don't really have an interest in changing/fixing others. I suppose that's what you mean by "problematic tendency"? Anyway, ultimately, doing that is up to each individual person IMO. *"I'm probably five times as functional as Lily here (when I'm on medication that is)."* Ugh! I am offended, but also fully agree.
I asked my INFP sister and she said that INTP's could really be any role (simple npc that is not important and likes their stuff, mad scientist antagonist, sidekick that brings insight, and this kind of genius mc). She also said ISTJ's were antagonists, and INFJ's as the miunderstood that follow the current and don't follow "their own heart" so INFP would reach and speech about how life is good and one must follow their heart
Haha yes! Us ENFPs don’t go away that easy! I also say this as a writer with an ENFP character I had tabled, only for him to claw his way back into the story in the most epic way possible. Now he’s a major player and definitely here to stay!
As a INFP I love your positive mindset. A ENFP actually helped me to heal my depression in the past 🙏. Also there are a lot of fictional ENFP characters I love especially in Anime or Jake Peralta from Brooklyn nine nine
@@TylenOneal239as a INFP with a ISFP brother I habe to say we only had 2 fights in our entire life. He is my comfort human. He wasn't annoyed to bring me along to hang out with his friends (he is 3 year older than me) he never insulted me infront of other people. One time oke of his friends said "it must be annoying having to bring your sister everywhere" and he said "no, I actually enjoy her companie, she isn't annoying". He is so calm most of the time but he can also be very scary and intimidating ok the rare ocasions he is angry. 7:40-7:53 As an INTP, that stung… having countless unfinished projects (or barely even started projects, let’s be real) is such a high Ne thing, it’s heartbreaking. 😅 Great video.
I let out a huge laugh at the "We're not Dear Kristin here" part XD XD ENFP are quite good protagonists, I think. Po from Kung Fu Panda and Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender are ENFP examples. Also, in lots of anime a lot of protagonist are ENFP, which I find interesting, since I have the impression ENFP is not a common personality in Japan. I didn't expect the narrator, and the fact that INFP got untiered at the end was perfect XD XD XD Also, I think Kristin secretly wants to be a villain in a story given how the INFP here talked about that XD XD
Seeing how many main characters that I loved were ENFP made me feel like I really am the main character in my story and any trauma is just character development 😂
"Destigmatise INFPs by providing some fun and friendly videos WITHOUT CRYING." - Just as you said it my INFP mother returned home CRYING. I know I shouldn't, but I can't stop laughing!
It's ok, go right ahead 😂 perfect timing But oh my God the crying though! I'm an (I believe INFP) natural crybaby who grew up not really being allowed to cry. An endless loop of doom 😂💀 P.S.: Send your mom a good 3-in-1 package of understanding listening ear + soothing touch + "your feelings are valid, it's gonna be ok" from me 😁❤
INFP: "...but I have to try and not let my personal feelings get in the way of this tier ranking." 🤣 I'm loving Kristin's take on how the different types categorize others. INFP's tier rankings being based on what role different types would play in the INFP's fictional story is on brand. -- INTP
"broody misunderstood stranger" Spot-on. The same can be said about your other INTJ portrayals as well. Would love to see the INTJ/ENTJ ranking the 16ps next! -an INTJ Edit: "we're not dear kristin" had me cracking up!
Yeah, I don't get that vibe from ISTPs at all. But the INFP might think something is poetic or nuanced about the ISTP that the ISTP themselves doesn't.
No proof required, I think they just need to spend time with one, ideally for a few months maybe. I will say ISTPs (unless a-holes ofc), or at least some for sure, are SO refreshing to be around. Practical, helpful, genuine, intelligent, quietly friendly, funny, call it like it is, chill, confident but not arrogant, very grounded and overall great.
15:19 I have several notebooks of complete novels, short stories, character arts and game ideas but I don't have time or energy to put these out there just because
Knew from the start that ISTP was immediately going in broody, misunderstood stranger. Are there things about myself that I will never tell anyone ever? Yes. Do I think anyone is misunderstanding me without knowing those things? No. What you see is what you get.
"Realistically... Nope, not going there" 🤣🤣🤣 There's so much to roar with laughter about, I think this is your best tier ranking video yet. But I might be biased as an INFP...
"Imagine the ESFP who gets so bored with life that they end up toying with people for their own amusement." Very fitting than your INFP character came to this conclusion because I love instigating with my INFP friends and watching them get annoyed for no reason other than 'it's funny.' Now I just feel guilty lol -esfp
Honestly maybe ask them (each of them) sometime (not while trying to make them angry ofc) if this ever bothers them. It may not! Especially since they like you. But I'm just saying it may be best to ask. Personally I _despise_ this stuff with a fiery passion from the depths of hell, so I may be a bit biased, but still best to make sure lol.
I'm an ISTJ, and my niece is an INFP. She's grown now, and she recently told me that when she was a child, she thought I was scary because of my sterness. We get along great now, and she says I'm actually the easiest person in the world to talk to. We understand each other in a way no one else can. The ISTJ would not be an NPC in her novel.
As an INFP myself, ISTJs are oddly relatable. Like, we have both fundamental differences and game-changing similarities. Might have something to do with the fact that we have literally the same functions, but arranged and prioritized differently.
You know how they say the more embarrassing an MBTI video feels, the more it relates to your personality? Help. Why am I like this LOL AND HOW DO I FIX THIS
I actually have a diary, autobiography, novel with as many genres as I could think of, and a bunch of theses and stuff in one book that I have been writing for the past nine years. I even made songs out of it and a piece of full-blown orchestral music recently. However, since it is a diary, I will never share it with anyone. As for the orchestral music I made, I'm just gonna post it on my UA-cam channel without context. ~ INFJ, considering mastering drawing, making anime songs, and trying to get a physics degree for this novel
That _was_ how I felt when I first discovered MBTI in general. I couldn't help but cringe a bit watching this though. Some of it was accurate enough, but... I dunno...
The voice, the length, the hat, the sentence in the category 😆 well played ! It's a great ranking. I like the place of INTJ with ISTP & ENTP. A lot of misunderstood types.
when she gives all the reason why intj is antagonist and then she said "that would be ridiculous" because she wants to believe there is no reason intj do that , it was something :D

My INFP friend would absolutely put me in the "broody misunderstood stranger" category. I know this because once they said to me, dead serious, that I give off "terrifyingly wealthy evil CEO mastermind vibes" and that was back before either of us knew I was an INTJ
I almost always identify an INTJ in the crowd even before we talk/become acquainted, because they give off that exact same broody misunderstood mastermind vibe!!!! I don't know how that works but ig us INFPs have a spidey sense that tingles on meeting INTJs !!!
@@gourisreelatha5256 In my experience, INFPs draw in INTJs. I don't know how or why it happens, but the majority of people I spend time with are INFPs. Maybe the reason your type can identify us more easily than others is because you somehow find a way to interact with us more
Well, in that case... I'd like to be the parrot from Aladdin. Very creative video, this INFP character really came alive for me, and I love the tiers you came up with.
Love your INFP impression. I think your acting was especially good on this one and not so stereotypical actually. For the INFJ, I don't really want to be a main character, too many responsibilities are incredibly stressful and it's very tiring to be a hero. I give it to ENFJs. Brave and fair, hmm I don't really know, maybe. I try to at least cause I think it's right. Pure heart, not sure either. Sometimes I feel like we're the darkest of all and even if I sincerely don't want to I can't really tell either. Probably only INFPs and INTPs would think we have cool clothes when we're not trying very hard to have some style lol. To a sidekick pet, I can definitely say yes though. We would have one. Animals are the humans' best friends. With animals, words are unecessary and you can create intuitive communications and connections with them.
As an INFP parts of this make me cringe (like putting specific types into antagonist or NPC) and parts of this are…very accurate, I literally predicted the “what was I taking about?” Line, probably because as this was happening I had thoughts about everything so I was pausing to monologue out loud to myself and I said “what was I saying” at least 5 times. This was so cringy and so accurate, and it’s probably accurate because it’s cringy. Or cringy because it’s accurate *Ne thoughts* what was I talking about?

Almost every single INFP I’ve met has been one of the following two: - a very chill and sweet person (somewhat disorganized but I don’t mind as long as I’m not working on a project with them. They aren’t purposefully lazy though, they do try, but…their time management skills are not very developed…). Definitely don’t hate this type of INFP, they’re pretty sweet, actually. - the complete opposite of “chill”- poses as “chill” but really cannot handle a singular joke or minor criticism and flips out the second you call them out on something. 5:04 Anybody else see a beautiful blue color palette replace the rainbow when it went black and white? Only if you keep starting at Kristen/ Lilly I was literally already writing a story right now where I give an INTP sidekick pet to an INFP main character. I wrote the story roles I think the stereotypical MBTI-based character would be most fun to write. In a story written by me, someone who most fits into the categories of ENFP 7w6 most of the time, I think, here it is: ENFP 7w6 - main character INTJ - Villain, temporary love interest INFJ - mentor and love interest ENTP 7w6 - weirdo mentor, and friend, or forbidden love (long lost brother?), or sidekick raccoon pet. Psychic raccoon pet? YES!! Authority figure - ENFJ 1w2 ISTJ 5w4 friend to be the voice of logic and trivia that ENFP 7w6 is too afraid to say ESFP 7w6 - villain's sidekick INFP - my sidekick pet Of course, I must then write each character to have deep inner desires and insecurities, and give them contradictions within themselves that aren't always normal for the MBTI I have based their personality on.
As an INTP, I relate to the INTP as the sidekick character, though I think that if I was in one of these stories, I’d probably either be an NPC or a brooding stranger. I wouldn’t show up a lot likely, but I’d probably be like a voice of reason… except I’m so forgettable that they only remember that I’m there when I speak, which is very little. Or maybe I’d be less forgettable, but my logic just bounces off of the main character and then I die because of their ignorance, causing them to grieve and blame themselves. Then, my advice would be how they beat the antagonist. Or I’d just be the antagonist, but I’d probably be in Ti-Si loop, loosing Ne and just there to crush dreams or something. Honestly, I could think about this for hours.
For anyone in the comments who’s wondering, any type can fit any role, which is awesome! If you don’t think so, you just haven’t found an example yet, but it’s out there!
Nah, not really. This is more accurate and nuanced than her "lazy crybaby" INFP, but that doesn't mean it's 100% accurate. You cannot rely on someone else to change you, that has to come from within yourself.
As an INFP myself, I'd never seek to 'change' anyone. In fact, it's antithetical to the way I generally operate, because I have a strong dislike of manipulation, even if put to benign ends. What I do is seek to understand people, just as I would hope they do with me. If anything, I'd want to inspire them to grow, realise their dreams and become a better version of themselves. But I wouldn't view that as changing someone; if anything, it's the opposite.
As an INFP, I feel seen and attacked at the same time... I'll write my book someday! 😉😂 Also, Kristin, you have managed to perfectly capture the essence and processing style of us INFPs to a scary degree because I have thought and said many of these things irl... Oh and how did you manage to know how I categorize those types???! This is exactly my thought process for each of them! You truly are good at understanding how the types brains function. Oh and we definitely need more videos from Lily!!! 😂😁
INTP fits very comfortably into the sidekick/Pokedex category. 😅 As far as an INTP's own tier-ranking would go, I imagine she would be ranking everyone into her starship crew, and would spend an inordinate amount of time trying to justify placing herself into the Captain category even though she knows she would NEVER want that job in real life. 😂
INFP here, and this whole character typing/sorting into HP houses takes me back to a lot of conversations I've had with my INTP friend that got me into MBTI 😂 Also, can confirm that I never wrote a single line of any book, series, movie, cartoon, or soap opera I've ever started imagining throughout my life 😂
1:30 telling this to myself for 15 years now, i truly feel you😩. About personality type, not many people know or realise that every personality type have huge spectrum, so is not every INFP/ISFP/ISTP etc. is the same but some personality trait make them that kind of person (good site also show you your spectrum). It base on psychology not some imaginary statistic, horoscope and is not about you are like that or that because you are this type or person, more like you are this type of personality because you have this trait or another, it's more analysis and is great way for finding people which you will get along with. Is also good way for finding what you may find interesting, what career may be good for you etc, overall interesting stuff. Btw cool idea for thinking which personality would be good for you book character❤️👏 never tough of that. P.S as INFP personality myself did you ever wondering about putting INFP in antagonist role? Noone knows us more than we know ourself but deep down even as 'mediator' personality type it can go great as antagonist, especially that not every antagonist must be bad or evil it may have good reason in their head for their action but happend to make some bad stuff towards protagonist, it can be great challange.
I have to admit I like the idea of a main protagonist enfj having some kind of sidekick intp pet that's like a pokedex 😂 And the trying to justify stuff 30 minutes because I feel bad admitting the truth before just admitting is just real there. ~ An Infp
As an isfp, you are a great actress. The moment you talked like an infp, the next moment, i couldn't pay attention and was distracted looking at other things. Dang infps are so nice yet...unrelatable.
i would love to see a fictional typing series now, as some of kristin's typings in the video would be fun to discuss! also the constant enforcement of not reinforcing stereotypes while the INFP continues to reinforce stereotypes is absolute gold
Ah, I really do find it annoying when the infp projects their own personality and values on everyone. Not everyone can be or is like them! If you really want to understand them, see them as they are, not as you are. Yep. That rant has been in me for quite a while, especially since an infp classmate of mine has been getting on my nerves recently. _Not that I should be unleashing my emotions on a random comment box for all to see._ _What do you mean? Stop restricting yourself that way. Everyone needs to let it out sometimes._ _Fair enough._ Anyway, thank you, Kristin, for putting so much effort into these series! They really are quite insightful, nuanced and entertaining in their own ways. I learnt a great deal. Regardless of how annoyed I might get at the stereotypical infj you portray, I must say that they are quite comedic in the end. Your sense of humour is 👌🏻.
Okay this is actually something I just said at 2:02 and I’m an infp according to this mbti test thing. And the fact that the character talks similarly to me is interesting too. I love this and seeing myself in it is pretty cool 💞
This was really well researched for the character, too many things that relate to me irl for anyone to say mbti doesn’t have at least some foundation. The order I would have made a little different, and it’s still kind of annoying to not see any of INFP’s range of emotional depth in different directions. What do people think INFP’s imagine when they truely hate something for example? Everyone knows we have strong opinions even if we don’t vocalise them, picture vivid imagination mixed with intensity.
@@karissahammond4587 It was definitely hinted at with some implications, but I suppose it comes down to how assertive you’ve been conditioned when growing up. Kristin once did a display of when an INFP doesn’t back down, and once did one where the INFP came off a little darker, but maybe it’s because of having to grow up around some more morally questionable personalities nearby, or maybe it’s an overly sensitive thing if I blame it fully on being a man who is an INFP with people to look after, but I have found my fi being fired up in all sorts of different ways when seeing injustice in the world. Also when writing, my “never completed novels” all have very dark themes.
@AmbientDisguise Gotcha. Yeah, that kind of thing usually gets missed in light skits. If you like mbti content that gets more in-depth, I recommend the channel LoveWho. He doesn't hit everything (who could?), but I like his level of nuance.
@@karissahammond4587 He is definitely good 👍 and don’t get me wrong I like the skit channels, but they never show INFP with a back bone and although being morbidly depressed and overly inwardly reflective is pretty much a defining trait of my personality now 🫥, I literally can’t remember the last time I cried, and I wouldn’t dare show myself being vulnerable in public, that’s how the vultures get you.
@AmbientDisguise Yeah 😬. Life really doesn't allow for an INFP who looks like the stereotype, except in the happiest of circumstances. I'm sorry you've had to keep that all inside, and that circumstances have been generally so rough for you. Also, after more thought, I think I know what you mean by Fi firing up in the name of justice for the oppressed, and I think it's one of the type's best features. For what it's worth, I think there's value in your voice and what you have to share, and I hope you finish those novels.
Ever since I’ve really gotten into the MBTI types, I’ve literally been doing way too many tests on 16personalities through the eyes of my character. And I get happy when a certain type’s traits are present in my character already (but they mustn’t be a copy paste of the traits listed on the website). I also find it fun to see when certain characters get either the same, or the completely opposite type.
INFP here. im actually writing a script for my RPG and this video kinda helped me with my characters (i always use MBTI when making personality traits to my characters)
Fun fact: By the time Lily gets to her second type, the ISTP at 5:22, ISTP had already just finished her own ranking of all 16 types (ISTP tier-ranking the 16 personalities)😂
"There _must_ be something more to them"
nah not really. We just don't always like people and the ways they do things, so we speak little, and do other things. Short, direct, and to the point.
Also, the time zone thing on youtube is wild, some of these comments say they happened 23 hours ago!
Dated an INFP (bordering on ENFP at times) as an ISTP. This was her exact reason for approaching me, I was cackling.
ISTPs being extremely straightforward as always. Not surprised 🙁.
@@welcometochaos4 part of the reason why the crazy time lapse appearance is that members of dear Kristin's group get early access to viewing.... I think it's 24 hours? Correct me if I'm wrong please
As soon as she revealed the categories I knew where ISTP was going.
@Cuteemogirl94 I feel like ENFPs are just as traumatized as INFPs the trauma has just effected them differently. Source I'm an ENFP😌
The "I can fix them" energy is unreal
An INFJ friend has said I “lowkey try to fix people”😅😂 - INFP
As an INFP who FINALLY began writing my horror novel this year (after 7 years, yay!!), I myself first label all the characters with MBTI so that I can clearly develop their personalities, actions and traits accordingly 👻
And yes, my main character has a sidekick pet too 💀
Care to share some of their types?
I was feeling so called out by that as an ENFP who after starting and stopping several iterations of a book, finally landed on the story I have now and the format of comics. Me and my brother have typed all of my characters and it’s helped SO MUCH in developing them. My fave is an INFP (the main love interest and side character) and I see this as him ranking his friends in that tier (the tier might look a bit different tho because of his feelings 😂)
Well good luck i as INFP after 15 years of trying still can't start writing myself (even if i have whole story in my head😂)
Maybe a hedgehog? They are nocturnal, a bit spiky on the outside but warm underneath! 🙂

The "someone special" coming along and transforming 70% of the Thinkers into "poetic, mellow souls" and prompting them to "choose love" was HILARIOUS 😆
The INFP really does believe that everyone has a well of emotions deep down. Except the ESTJ.
yeah screw ESTJs (no offence) they're so scary

I think it makes sense actually. The ESTJ has the same functions in opposite order. So protagonist/antagonist; symmetrical 🙂🙂

This video premise has an extra layer of comedy for me, being an INFP currently working on a fantasy series where all 16 personality types make up the main cast
INFP - dragon, which in this world are thought to be hunted to extinction and still viewed negatively, and can take human forms
INFJ - human abducted from Earth to the fantasy world due to her unknown magical ancestry, eventually finds out that by birthright she is both the ruler of the fantasy world and technically a god
ISTJ - heiress of a noble family, shamed by her family because of a disability they force her to hide in public
ISFP - one of few known survivors of the long-running effort to exterminate the fantasy land's natives, a rebel with a cause but certainly without a plan
ESTJ - cult leader and false god who uses Illusion magic to fake her powers, used to be next in line as the leader of an assassin's guild that her family has been running for centuries but got disowned and left in the cult instead
ISFJ - part of this land's corrupt fantasy law enforcement, which she joined after a comedy of errors turned all her friends against her (she eventually defects)
ESTP - used to be an heiress to a noble family but hated it and ran away, she also died and got illegally resurrected by the ISFJ and is now pseudo-immortal
ESFP - also ran away from his family as a kid, and got cursed by the ISFJ through the aforementioned comedy of errors, now an unwilling vessel for the most powerful being in the world
INTP - part of one of the wealthiest families that isn't outright nobility on account of her family's casino they run, she's got a (scholarly) obsession with skeletons and reanimated a bunch of skeletons to work as staff
ISTP - an assassin and the INFJ's twin, she wasn't meant to be abducted with her twin and was just kind of dropped off in the middle of nowhere, where she proceeded to get kidnapped and brainwashed into joining the assassin guild mentioned previously
ENTJ - another twin, this time the ESTJ's, she was not fortunate enough to be disowned and is expected to be her mother's living weapon until the day she inherits the guild
ENFJ - part of the same cult as the ESTJ and technically the adopted brother of both ExTJs after he became the actual vessel for the god the ESTJ pretends to be, although he keeps it secret for her sake
ENTP - guy with problems
INTJ - twelve-year-old magical prodigy, has the strongest latent magic in the world, also has narcolepsy and sometimes casts in his sleep
ESFJ - another dragon, the INFP's older sister, and unwitting sacrificial lamb of a secret community of surviving dragons
ENFP - unbeknownst to her, she's the niece of the guy currently ruling the world, and he needs her to either be on his side or die immediately, and neither of those are very appealing options

For what it's worth, I don't really have an interest in changing/fixing others. I suppose that's what you mean by "problematic tendency"? It's ok, go right ahead 😂 perfect timing
But oh my God the crying though!
I'm an (I believe INFP) natural crybaby who grew up not really being allowed to cry.
Trying not to cry just made cry even more from shame and frustration! An endless loop of doom 😂💀
P.S.: Send your mom a good 3-in-1 package of understanding listening ear + soothing touch + "your feelings are valid, it's gonna be ok" from me 😁❤

As an ESTJ, i am loving this whole video! The editing is so perfect👌 and i relish getting lost in the world of an INFP. Well done Kristin!
As an INFP I confirm that’s exactly how I would do my tier list… Not to mention I’m a struggling writer, too 🤣 That was amazing, Kristin!!
"broody misunderstood stranger"
Spot-on. The same can be said about your other INTJ portrayals as well.
Would love to see the INTJ/ENTJ ranking the 16ps next!

Edit: "we're not dear kristin" had me cracking up!
I did it 😆 (for the INTJ)
What kind of proof would it take to convince an INFP that there is no deeper nuance or hidden poetry within the ISTP?
It legit all depends on the ISTP, because when Lily said that there was deeper nuance to them, I felt like that’s not the case 70% of the time 💀
None. There is no proof that we'd accept.
My immediate INFP response: "Proof? The heart's mysterious promptings cannot be 'disproven'"😆
The thought and energy you put into these videos, Kristin, is incredible and so very well done!
Love how all of Lily's main characters have auxiliary Fe or Fi
"Realistically... Nope, not going there" 🤣🤣🤣
There's so much to roar with laughter about, I think this is your best tier ranking video yet. But I might be biased as an INFP...
My best friend us an INFP, can confirm that they give off this vibe. The disclaimers every few minutes are on point.
"Imagine the ESFP who gets so bored with life that they end up toying with people for their own amusement."
Very fitting than your INFP character came to this conclusion because I love instigating with my INFP friends and watching them get annoyed for no reason other than 'it's funny.'
Now I just feel guilty lol
-esfp
Honestly maybe ask them (each of them) sometime (not while trying to make them angry ofc) if this ever bothers them.
It may not! Especially since they like you.
But I'm just saying it may be best to ask. Personally I _despise_ this stuff with a fiery passion from the depths of hell, so I may be a bit biased, but still best to make sure lol.
INFP: "INTJs are misunderstood"
Also INFP: (misunderstands INTJs by assuming we're evil) xD
I'm an ISTJ, and my niece is an INFP. She's grown now, and she recently told me that when she was a child, she thought I was scary because of my sterness. We get along great now, and she says I'm actually the easiest person in the world to talk to. We understand each other in a way no one else can. The ISTJ would not be an NPC in her novel.
As an INFP myself, ISTJs are oddly relatable. Like, we have both fundamental differences and game-changing similarities. Might have something to do with the fact that we have literally the same functions, but arranged and prioritized differently.
@@crumbsintopebblesExactly. At our core, we're very much the same. We just have different priorities.
The broody character category is the “I can fix them” category 💀💀💀💀 - an INFP

I actually have a diary, autobiography, novel with as many genres as I could think of, and a bunch of theses and stuff in one book that I have been writing for the past nine years. I even made songs out of it and a piece of full-blown orchestral music recently. However, since it is a diary, I will never share it with anyone. As for the orchestral music I made, I'm just gonna post it on my UA-cam channel without context.

as an INFP I managed not to cry watching this , right until "I'm so bad at making choices" :P
Goodness, Kristin 😂 as an ESTP, I had such a hard time watching this because of how slow moving it was

As an INFJ, this is my favorite tier ranking video. I'm also proud of my placement. The hat she's wearing is so cute!
The voice, the length, the hat, the sentence in the category 😆 well played ! It's a great ranking.
I like the place of INTJ with ISTP & ENTP. A lot of misunderstood types.
Love how it was Saturday (?..) first and then only two days from Flattering Friday :D
when she gives all the reason why intj is antagonist and then she said "that would be ridiculous" because she wants to believe there is no reason intj do that , it was something :D

HOW DARE
With animals, words are unecessary and you can create intuitive communications and connections with them.
as an enfp, i had to watch this one on 2x speed
YES AS INFP I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SO BADLY
I was just sitting here, zoning out as the INFP talks about their usual nonsense. and then I got to 12:12 and just died laughing.
YESSSSSSS this is a masterpiece, you are a character comedy wizard. Tales of this video will be passed down in the INFP history books for generations.
Or cringy because it’s accurate
*Ne thoughts*
what was I talking about?
16 personalities as character archetypes:
ESTJ: Toxic family member/Tyrannical "mean girl"/Aggressive lead who becomes less unlikeable by the end of the movie
ISTJ: Slightly controlling old person/crippling rule-follower/man with existential crisis who wants to prove himself
ESFJ: Mother figure/Popular girl/Cinnamon roll
ISFJ: Plain Jane/goody-two-shoes (in the best way possible)/competent yet sometimes unappreciated side character
ESTP: Athlete/Frat bro/Politician
ISTP: Badass loner with technical, practical skills/Survivor TM/Rough-around-the edges love interest
ESFP: Textbook Hollywood celebrity/Weird (maybe slightly pervy) uncle figure/Polarizing sidekick
ISFP: Endearing main character/Love interest/Pick-me girl from an early 2000s Disney movie
ENFJ: Annoying Mary Sue whose only flaw is being *quirky* and *relatable*/Manipulative jerk
INFJ: Tired (burned out) savior who often underestimates themselves
ENFP: Manic pixie dream girl/Disney princess/Unhinged younger sibling
INFP: Good-natured protagonist/Emo kid/Struggling writer or artist
ENTJ: War strategist/Fearsome CEO/Villain (the kind who can control masses)
INTJ: Dark and broody male lead/Calculating villain/Cool smart lady.
ENTP: Unreliable bastard/Trickster/Unhinged villain
INTP: Quintessential nerd/Weird guy (think human criptid)/Scientist TM
I was wondering what an ESTJ ever did to you, however at least I can be happy I'm a human not a "cinnamon roll". I'm not sure you understand what most of the types are remotely like - ESTJ
@@sarahberkner This is mostly based on the MBTI that certain character archetypes tend to get assigned (e.g. Regina George and Heather Chandler are ESTJs, hence "tyrannical mean girl"). Obviously it's more on the stereotypical side and doesn't cover the full nuance of the 16 personalities. Because it was never my intent.
"I was wondering what an ESTJ ever did to you."
Nothing necessarily, why?
@@crumbsintopebbles The "mean girl" archetype is usually associated with INTJs, ENTJs, ISFPs and ESFPs. Those who are in Si-Ne axis are prone to talking things out to solve their problems instead of acting; they aren't "mean".
I'm happy I'm not the only INFP who views ENFJs as "manipulative jerks," lol. I would've immediately assigned them the role of antagonist, no question.

I love/hate how the zoning out, thinking about a book being finished already, or being adapted on television, having this brainstorming session (maybe the character could actually…) and even the damn background music (either composed in my head, or a fragment of music from another piece of media which I’ve listened to multiple times whilst envisioning a certain specific scene… which I’ve replayed in my head multiple times)… it is too accurate and it makes me feel guilty.

Bro, "existential crisis to a regular Tuesday morning" got me good 😅
INFPs are wonderful. And I would like to read a book on their inner workings.
INTJ
Almost every single INFP I’ve met has been one of the following two:
- a very chill and sweet person (somewhat disorganized but I don’t mind as long as I’m not working on a project with them.
Thankfully I’ve run into less of these.
-ESTJ
@@puppydogs68What an ESTJ calls a "minor criticism" is very different to what the rest of us would call it. ESTJs are quite possibly my least favourite type.
Hi Kristin:) I love your videos, but as an INFP I was both excited and scared about how you were going to depict us in this super fun series you are making!
I have to say I loved this one, I would have almost made the same choices with similar thought processes.

5:04 Anybody else see a beautiful blue color palette replace the rainbow when it went black and white? Only if you keep starting at Kristen/ Lilly
I was literally already writing a story right now where I give an INTP sidekick pet to an INFP main character.
I wrote the story roles I think the stereotypical MBTI-based character would be most fun to write. In a story written by me, someone who most fits into the categories of ENFP 7w6 most of the time, I think, here it is:
ENFP 7w6 - main character
INTJ - Villain, temporary love interest
INFJ - mentor and love interest
ENTP 7w6 - weirdo mentor, and friend, or forbidden love (long lost brother?), or sidekick raccoon pet. Psychic raccoon pet? YES!!
Authority figure - ENFJ 1w2
ISTJ 5w4 friend to be the voice of logic and trivia that ENFP 7w6 is too afraid to say
ESFP 7w6 - villain's sidekick
INFP - my sidekick pet
Of course, I must then write each character to have deep inner desires and insecurities, and give them contradictions within themselves that aren't always normal for the MBTI I have based their personality on.
As a fellow Ne-Aux (INTP) I can massively relate to having one or several fantasy novels existing only within the recesses of my own imagination.
For anyone in the comments who’s wondering, any type can fit any role, which is awesome! If you don’t think so, you just haven’t found an example yet, but it’s out there!
INFPs sure do love changing people- INTP
This is crazy accurate. I practically did the ranking with you, and you predicted everything I said 😂
INFP here, and this whole character typing/sorting into HP houses takes me back to a lot of conversations I've had with my INTP friend that got me into MBTI 😂
Also, can confirm that I never wrote a single line of any book, series, movie, cartoon, or soap opera I've ever started imagining throughout my life 😂
1:30 telling this to myself for 15 years now, i truly feel you😩.
I have to admit I like the idea of a main protagonist enfj having some kind of sidekick intp pet that's like a pokedex 😂
And the trying to justify stuff 30 minutes because I feel bad admitting the truth before just admitting is just real there.
~ An Infp
As an isfp, you are a great actress. The moment you talked like an infp, the next moment, i couldn't pay attention and was distracted looking at other things. Dang infps are so nice yet...unrelatable.
I thought for sure ISFP's would be a sidekick pet, as they're often said to be comparable to cats ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Isfp are cats 🐈
i would love to see a fictional typing series now, as some of kristin's typings in the video would be fun to discuss! also the constant enforcement of not reinforcing stereotypes while the INFP continues to reinforce stereotypes is absolute gold
_Not that I should be unleashing my emotions on a random comment box for all to see._
_What do you mean? Stop restricting yourself that way. Everyone needs to let it out sometimes._
_Fair enough._
Anyway, thank you, Kristin, for putting so much effort into these series!
I think she actually did capture that when she had the INFP zone out. That's usually when I'm feeling intense INFP emotions.
Holy moly, this is *so* well done. I found it exhausting and maddening. I don't know how you did it, Kristin. Bravo.

Manifesting the ESTP tier list 🙏
As an INFP who's best friend is a ISTP I agree with everything that was said in the video
This is really insightful !! Congrats from a ENTJ friend 😉
