I've watched this a few times over the past 2 years. There is just something special about a teacup. My coffee tastes better in one. I've been gifting cups or teapots and the recipients always enjoy them.
I am inspired to start my own tea cup collection. There are certainly some beautiful ones represented in this video. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
Lovely collection! You have a great variety of beautiful teacups and thank you for sharing your historical knowledge of all the many companies! The portrait in your background is very lovely as well! 💐🌷💐 Terianne
Always great to hear from you! Such appreciation for these porcelain manufacturers. 🫖☕️ The oil painting is a thrifted find from a charity resale. The lady watches over us. 🥰
It’s so nice that I acquired it twice. Gives me an idea to set a tea table for two with the Royal Chelsea cups and white plates. ☕️ Thanks for watching!
Im a middle aged guy who grew up as an ice hockey goalie, skateboarder and now I spend late nights drooling over tea cups... I drink coffee lol. Life is wonderful and complex.
What a beautiful video. Thank you, Lady Mary Beth, for sharing more of your lovely teacup collection (and knowledge about the products) with us. I love those Royal Trust pieces, and the Royal Stafford cup and saucer is very beautiful with the blue and gilded finishing (I also like the fluted-edge foot on the cup). You're so right about checking the backstamps when considering a purchase. It's worthwhile to check the internet to find information, which can be done easily. For example, using a search engine and typing in "Royal Doulton backstamps" should bring up a selection that shows the backstamps by various years of use. The RCD Vine pattern is a favourite, and I have a couple of pieces that combine that with the RCD Derby Posies pattern. The flowers on my pieces are hand-painted and signed. All of your pieces are very beautiful -- thanks again!
You have a good eye and are also very knowledgeable. Glad that several of these “potteries” as they were once called are still in business. Take care! 😘
@@LadyMaryBeth Thank you, Lady Mary Beth. Yes, it's nice to recognize some of the older potteries that once existed. I have some cups & saucers that were my mother's, from the Colclough company, and a lovely simple, hand-painted one from Radford's. I meant to mention earlier that there is a UA-cam channel for the Royal Collection Trust, in case you and other viewers are interested. They have some very interesting videos. I hope you will have a good evening.
@@sashineb.2114 Such treasures you have from your Mom. This makes it even more special. 🥰 Thanks for the tip on the Royal Collection Trust. Will look for it. 👑
You have a beautiful teacup collection! Great explanations too! Personally I own a fairly large collection of teacups too! I do love floral teacups (I only collect floral) so I have a lot of Royal Albert teacups and the rest of my collection is mostly other teacups from England. I really enjoy your channel. I watched most of your videos. I am french but I have been living in Dallas for 9 years now.
We enjoy popping over to France each summer. Your country is beautiful! 🇫🇷 I want to get back to Cafe Namur in Metz. They have the most delicious chocolate eclairs. Great to enjoy with a view of the Saint-Etienne Cathedral. Missing our family and friends in Germany and hope to travel this summer. Stay well!
I so enjoy watching your posts! My little niece had no interest in being dragged around the wonderful antique and thrift shops I so love, until she developed an interest in tea cups. She now just loves being my companion when I am still able to get out and browse. The information you continue to post is always such a delight!
I keep seeing that Royal Chelsea cup and now it’s on my wishlist. Gorgeous!! I am also a collector. Thanks for sharing your lovely collection; beautiful teacups are such a joy!

Wow, this was an answer to my prayers. I just found some china yesterday and I was going to ask you more about it. I have never considered collecting anything like china before I started watching your channel. I wanted to ask you how do I find the value of an item? Is there a specific website or group that I can ask? Thank you Lady Mary Beth.
Thanks for your kind message. To find the value of a china piece, use the backstamp information and search online. Check eBay and Replacements.com to get an idea. If looking to add pieces, shopgoodwill.com is worth a look. You might add to a pattern affordably with thrift store shopping. 🍽
