omg I didn't even know pilling was a thing, I just thought it was my dry skin peeling! can you guys do a video about body care? especially since summer is coming up and I will have tanlines everywhere! your videos really help
Omg yes! I do try my hardest to let it all dry and I sit there for ages on my bed but clearly to my sunscreen that isn't the case and it starts to do rolly pollys all over my face
I’ve been experiencing a lot of pilling lately too, especially when I apply sunscreen and it’s been getting into my hairline and eyelashes which is very annoying:(
Avoiding silicones and not applying makeup on my face (except eyes, lips and cheeks) has really worked wonders for me! I use to have bad acne and hid it under makeup but yes, it does pill. I had a baby girl and realized I was tired of waiting for perfect skin to love myself. It was always something. I had bad acne in my teens and early 20ies and I always thought if I didn't have it I would love myself so much more. BUT. Some women have perfect skin and hate themselves. And when I was young, I had braces and thought once my teeth would be straight I'd love myself. Once I would have bigger boobs. Once I would lose 5 pounds. Once I would do this, once I would do that... It was never enough. So I decided someday to stop wearing face makeup. And I'm not kidding: my acne cleared up! I was using expensive makeup, too... So I put that money on good beauty products instead and worked on loving myself even when my skin is not perfect. I got pregnant again and had a baby boy and my skin got on a roller coaster of hormones but still it's brighter than it's ever been at 27. I don't worry about piling anymore. It doesn't fade or cake or get on my clothes. I love it ❤️ to anyone reading this, don't wait until you have perfect skin or a perfect weight or anything to realize you're beautiful.
Thank you for saying this! It was very much needed 🥺 It’s so hard to love and accept yourself. I realize that the meanest and most negative criticism always comes from within. It’s hard to steer away from that mindset. We only have so much time to enjoy the little moments that are really important in life . This issue has gotten in the way of wanting to experience and live so many things with the people I love. I regret that so badly. So thank you! For reminding me today to not wait to be content and happy and be grateful!🙏🏼💕
Ok, first of all your hair looks amazing - both of you! The Ordinary’s niacinamide is the one product I find pills with everything. Or certain SPFs and Vitamin C. I do remember freaking the first time it happened. Thought my face was melting. Lol.
I use The Ordinary’s Niacinamide right after my toner and let it absorb for a minute or so while I change and do my hair, then go back to do the rest of my face and it doesn’t pill. For context, I have oily skin.
I was also using the Ordinary`s niacinamide and was layering it w hylaurinic acid and it was piling! I freaked out and stopped using it. I might try a different brand of niacinamide.
You guys do such an amazing work in this channel, honestly life changing for me! Having acne prone oily skin for over 10 years, going through dermatologist treatments (including Trevino in) only to see acne coming back afterwards, my self consciousness about my skin was through the roof. After starting to watch your videos and knowing what was happening inside and out, I started my skincare journey to heal. So many amazing products that you showed here, nothing that I bought after your recommendation gave me any reaction, just good results 💗 Thank you ladies 🥰🥰🥰
what about the timing between spf and makeup? i've always come across from bloggers saying spf should be given 15 mins. to get absorbed into the skin before applying makeup
Good Molecules just released a glycolic toner and the glycolic acid is at 3.5% and salicylic acid is in it at 0.2%. I can't wait to try it so that I can exfoliate a about 3 times a week vs 1.
My the ordinary Niacinamide keeps pilling for me and when I add my chemical sunscreen it’s worse same with foundation like you said. I’ll definitely be going much slower to see how that helps!!
I use the shiseido ultimate sun protector as a primer and sunscreen then put my foundation with spf. It actually blends well. Then reapply the sunscreen towards end of the day before driving back to work.
They were talking about patience and I agree I have a lot of patience with my skin I never had so much patience in my life and I think this really helps me to stay clam and chill it also is like I work so hard to get my skin clear like every day I clean and clean my fave and I don't see some changes but I still try so I can see some changes, I like to say that "I haven't seen it yet" and I keep going to see some results. And I am I see some and I'll keep going! 🙏🏼😘
This is crazy I’ve never understood what ppl meant about peeling skin, but I tried a New sunscreen 2days ago and OMG, I was shedding like a snake 🐍!! Ughh
I'm using moisturiser and sunscreen and it pill.. I don't like it so i changed my routine to use only sunscreen but double layer it and it works well for me
This was so useful! do you have any advice for those who're pilling around the eyebrow area? I have thick eyebrows and every time I have to make sure that the product that goes into or around the eyebrows is properly layered... so much so that I started avoiding the area completely... and then a new pimple appears right next to the eyebrow... it never ends and it gets to frustating everytime :(
My cerave moisturizing cream is piling and it only happens after putting on differin gel. I waited 30 mins before applying the moisturizer but it still pilled
I'm experiencing pilling with the least expected product: the Laneige Cream Skin Refiner. It is a toner, and I had been using it in the past few months. I moved house so I left it sitting in my shelf for a month or so, then when I started to use it again, it began to pill as if the ingredients got separated or something. My only solution now is to shake it before use, does anyone have similar exp??
I accidentally found something that stopped my pilling or at least has minimised it 😅 morning rush to be blamed here. Facial mist Vit c serum Vit c cream Dabs powder Sunscreen Dabs powder Foundation. No time to dab powder again. Just sprays some setting spray. Voila no pilling. Also, emphasis on ‘dab’ as I notice rubbing causes pilling but dabbing doesnt. Hope this helps as I know piling got stuck in my hair and it looked like my skin was peeling itself in my hairline.
Sometimes I get it when putting on my sunscreen 🧴 😫😫😫 but I noticed once I switched my niacinamide from the ordinary to paulas choice I have not had the issue. I think it’s the zinc in the ordinarys formulary.
i didnt know that was a thing it doesnt happen to anyone i know 😭😭 thank you for this !!! in my experience acids tend to cause my skin to pil i cant even use hyaluronic acid rip
I do cleanser then moisturizer then sunscreen but the moisturizer is thicker so should it still be last? Will the sunscreen still do it’s job if it’s not on the top
I have the worst time with my under eyes no matter what I use my concealer looks terrible. Breaks up. I’ve tried so many different eye creams, serums etc haaalllppp
CeraVe and Pyunkang Yul pills like crazy. Probably due to shea? Regardless if I take a small or a huge amount of product and try to blend it out. Also I hate patting in product, and with these creams you can’t do it in the common circular movements as it will only start pilling.
I just experienced piling a few seconds ago, and had to rinse my face and restart… It drove me crazy, but after watching your video and waiting a couple minutes before applying my sunscreen, it TOTALLY WORKED! IMPORTANT QUESTION: As a horrible makeup applicant, what do they mean when they said, use a 'wet' beauty blender? Because I have very dry skin and when I try to apply concealer to my inner eye, it flakes and cracks. Because I thought I was supposed to wash my beauty blender after each application? 🤔
I literally cannot use vitamin C products with foundation. Like no matter what vitamin c serum I use, it pills with EVERY foundation I own! Also, the Fresh Hydrating Rose facial cream would pill on me every single time I used it, even if I used it on bare skin with no products under it. So bizarre and it really ruins the mood 😩 If my skincare or makeup starts pilling then I literally have to wash it off because I can’t stand the feeling of pilling on my face
in your previous video you talk how the peeling bits are skin, and yes some product too... but mostly 99,9% it's product balling up... here you talk that is product fault... true... but false information about previous video.
Anyone have any good affordable sunscreen recommendations that don't leave a white cast for brown skin. After the krave was recalled, I don't know what to do.
The Resist Anti-Aging Moisturiser SPF 50 from Paulas choice is quite nice but it does leave a bit of a white cast on my skin. The UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 from EltaMD is the one I trust the most and it has a nice short inky list. Can't get here in Europe sadly:(
Also really like the Estée Lauder Perfectionist Pro Multi-Defense UV Fluid SPF 45! It's a nice makeup base and despite using Zinc Oxide as one the sunscreen filters it doesn't leave a strong white cast on my lightly tanned skin:) hope that helps!
omg I didn't even know pilling was a thing, I just thought it was my dry skin peeling! can you guys do a video about body care? especially since summer is coming up and I will have tanlines everywhere! your videos really help
Omg yes! I do try my hardest to let it all dry and I sit there for ages on my bed but clearly to my sunscreen that isn't the case and it starts to do rolly pollys all over my face
I have a very simple skin care routine because of this exact problem! Excited to watch the video!
I’ve been experiencing a lot of pilling lately too, especially when I apply sunscreen and it’s been getting into my hairline and eyelashes which is very annoying:(
I get it in my hairline too and then my hair line is just like white like a line of white
Omg! Fel I love your new hair color. You look 👀 gorgeous! This video is perfect 👍🏽 I recently had the same pilling issue 😕
Same! I'm like, "Okay cute hair!🤩🤩🤩"
Watching you two makes me so excited about self care and I think the world needs a lil more of that 💗

the little things really do make a big difference. man, looks like I got to re-check my routine to see if I'm applying it right!!! #ThanksGals ✨
Love ur pfp omg
Beautiful words at the end. You two are beautiful inside and out.

I had piling on a client and I definitely did not wait to allow all of the ingredients to absorb

Make a video for patients with hirsutism and PCOS. What should they do with excessive facial hair and homonal changes
it would be so cool!
All that can be done is to remove the hair and control the hormones through hormone based birth control or removal of the ovaries etc.
@@enc1971 but the pills didn't help in my case

Thank you. I loved it! I’m a frequent sufferer of pilling mostly due to morning rush. Thank you for the solution!
Deciding between the mugwort or the ginseng essence. Any thoughts?

i thought I was just shedding skin. thanks for the info. @Fel, I love the blouse. can I ask where you got it?
I'm using moisturiser and sunscreen and it pill.. I don't like it so i changed my routine to use only sunscreen but double layer it and it works well for me

I recently tried niacinamide from the ordinary, and it always pills off from skin. No matter at what step i am using it in
My cerave moisturizing cream is piling and it only happens after putting on differin gel. I waited 30 mins before applying the moisturizer but it still pilled
any sunscreen video soon?

please do another video on sunscreen, sunscreens you guys use, and Korean sunscreen that is still trustable.
Please do an update drugstore skin care products

@@ottersandwhales5222 Thank you girl, saved my life! will be picking it up soon
I like the la roche posay and the Elta MD Tinted spf!!
Check out Hyram or Cassandra Bankson on utube they both just did great videos on sunscreen 😀
So do we have to use all water based product to prevent pilling
Is Cerave moisturizing cream water based or silicone based?

I haven’t had many problems with pilling but I have impatience lol you got me to slow down & savor my skincare this morning. Thank you!

Omg yes i really needed this
Hi, I experience pilling with sheet masks from Whamisa. Can you tell me, what can be the problem? Thank you.
I wash my face, put on the face cream and it feels tacky then it just rubs off. No layering! So frustrating.
CeraVe and Pyunkang Yul pills like crazy. Probably due to shea? Regardless if I take a small or a huge amount of product and try to blend it out. Also I hate patting in product, and with these creams you can’t do it in the common circular movements as it will only start pilling.
How long does an order take to be ready before shipping??
Oh my. Is that a new ana luisa x beauty within necklace? 👀 so pretty and minimal.
I need to know where Ro got that top. I need it
Everything you said yes! Thanks for the advice. Felicia’s hair 💛, like the shoes as well, wondering where those are from 🤔
Does squalene count as oil or water based??
This video was SO helpful! I always blamed my Tretinoin for all my pilling.
you guys are so gorgeous!
Woohoo! 💕🎉 love this vid thank you!
May I know how old is Rowena & Felicia?
Do silicsilic acid cause the pilling?

“if I just put everything on my face at once, I’m like Mulan” 😹😹
the pilling at the end of the last episode had me giggling so much

Maybe you have sensitivity being caused by the products ur using
I got a new sunscreen and im now experiencing pilling.
Very helpful my ladies. 🙏🏼❤️😘😘😘Sandy
Omg I thought it was because of the surgical masks “scratching” or “rubbing” the makeup layer into “eraser shavings”
My skin is peeling badly
I literally cannot use vitamin C products with foundation. Like no matter what vitamin c serum
