Why do people not like this ? this is comedy gold these guys were genius of comedy not today's guys sorry boys but your no were near these guys 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪👍👍👍 thank you for the laughter Peter Herbert and Blake Edwards rhank you so much ☘️☘️☘️☘️👍👍👍
Me too. I grew up watching quality slapstick and performance humor. Peter Sellers and Airplane are examples of perfection high-level comedy of all types. Sometimes simple is genius.
Perhaps the greatest of all the Closeau scenes, Peter was in bad health and was so difficult to work with this this comedy classic film almost was not made. Today I happened upon the musical, Gigi, on tv, and watched Maurice Chevalier perform this song. All I can say is, for true fans of comedy, "Thank Heaven for" Peter Sellers! Emerging from your troubled life to pass on to the next life, may you rest in peace, in a heaven where true talent and hilarious comedy is appreciated.
"The old an-no-ni-mi-ty ploy..." and "Yes! Yes! Yeau are a genius, boys!" are often quoted in this household... along with about a hundred choice Clouseau lines!
Graham Stark was a great friend of Peter Sellers and appeared in nearly all of the Pink Panther films in one role or another. The best I think was as the hotel owner in the Does Your Dog Bite sketch. "Zat is not mein Dog"! A classic line.
I think It is Henri Toulouseau Lautrec, it must be. :-) The France painter, he was a cripple, the beard is the same, and the hat, and the the song about the girls indicates that. Lautrec was very ulgy and therefore spent a lot of time on Moulin Rouge. It is genius!
Very very funny scene and thank you very much for it. You showcase as always the genius of Peter Sellers as the bumbling mustached karate chopping Clouseau.
Peter Sellers, although incredibly funny and a comic genius, was a deeply troubled man. He had very little self-esteem, he was very shy, and once said that if it wasn't for the characters that he was playing, he wouldn't have any personality at all. When he was invited to appear on the Michael Parkinson chat show, he withdrew the day before, explaining to Parkinson that "I just can't walk on as myself". When he was told he could come on as someone else, he appeared dressed as a member of the Gestapo. After a few lines in keeping with his assumed character, he stepped out of the role and settled down and, according to Parkinson himself, "was brilliant, giving the audience an astonishing display of his virtuosity. By the time of The Pink Panther Strikes Again, his mental state had worsened. The already fraught relationship between Sellers and Blake Edwards had seriously deteriorated. Edwards says of the actor's mental state at the time of The Pink Panther Strikes Again, "If you went to an asylum, and you described the first inmate you saw, that's what Peter had become. He was certifiable.''
My pick to be the new "Chief Inspector Clouseau" would be Tony Shaloub. Peter Sellers displayed a certain "stiffness" in his portrayal of the infamous detective. Tony Shaloub"sperformance as "Monk" shows a certain familiar "stiffness" as well. He could pull it off, much like Robert Downey Junior's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.
When it comes to Clouseau your a geeeenius. Your an expert of the bumbling karate chopping mustach-ed Chief Inspector. I completely agree Sasha Baron Cohen would be genius as Clouseau. It takes a genius to know a genius.

I love how he throws the bomb toward the store employees when he freaks out.
YES!!! It has me rolling everytime 😄😄😄
But, what kind of a beumb was it?
@@pegasaurusrex9733: Exploding kind.
It's great how this classic scene references Dr. Strangelove. In both movies Sellers declares: "I can walk!" before a bomb goes off. 🤣🤣
The scene immediately after that which was cut off was just as funny. When Clouseau sets fire to his boss's office 😆
The bomb destroyed half the block but Clouseau survived. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Special delivery, a beum. Were you expecting one?
A BEUM?! AHAHAHA!!!!!!!
"The old an-no-ni-mi-ty ploy..." and "Yes! Yes! Yeau are a genius, boys!" are often quoted in this household... along with about a hundred choice Clouseau lines!
"You are a genius, Balls" it the correct quote, though... 😄
@@doubleuponbob3397 You're right!
The great Balls played by the great Graham Stark perfect acting

His favorite shop 😂 it’s hilarious this scene. 😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏
...do you know what kind of a bond it was? Clouseau: The exploding kind!
"Some days, you just can't get rid of a beaum!"
He has survived 25 assassination attempts including 3 from his own boss😁😁😁😁😁
I think this is the best Sellers "Panther" movie. Gotta love the ever reliable Graham Stark as Professor Balls.
Graham Stark played a great Balls
One of the funniest movies ever
He actually says, "You are a genius, Balls!"
And the words "Balls" on the door. HA!
"A BEAUM?! AH HAAAAAAAAHHH HAAAOWWW!!!"

It wasn't a 'bomb' it was a 'berm'!
I always wondered what it would look like if Henri lautrec did an impression of Henri Lautrec
Ah the old Toulouse-Lautrec ploy.
At 047,there's a beautiful fender telecaster hanging left from Clouseau. But not for long!
Very very funny scene and thank you very much for it. You showcase as always the genius of Peter Sellers as the bumbling mustached karate chopping Clouseau.
