- More than 10 minutes of outtakes from the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers. I edited these together from many different tv-shows. Some of them have never been put on youtube and many of them I've put on youtube a few years ago. However, this is the definitive video with all outtakes I've found so far. I'll make a second part when I find other ones.

After many hours of consideration, there is an actor who has what it takes to recreate Chief Inspector Clouseau. Tony Shaloub could pull it off. Or, Maybe the guy would played the Soup Nazi.
The Steve Martin version was horrible
No matter how many times I see this clip, it never fails to make me laugh. Peter Sellers was a compulsive giggler.
Nobody has come close to sellers,what a talent he was, grew up watching him and still laugh at him now,
One has to wonder how they ever finished the film with all of the outbursts of laughter. Every time I see Peter in anything, it's is so terrible to know that he's been gone so long. A true genius.
It's like with any other studio recordings; you do it again and again, until you're satisfied with the outcome
My dad took me to every Peter Sellers film when I was a kid. Peter was one in a trillion guy! All these years latter his films still make me laugh my ass off. You can tell he loved making people laugh and was happy to play the fool to send people to the floor laughing.
Peter Sellers was a very unique and beyond hilarious actor. No one can ever replace his genius in comedy. Boy was that man freaking funny!

Peter Sellers always cracks me up every time I watch this... My gosh he was such a funny comic and those awesome voices get me every time... The last clip in this just shows how easy that the guys totally lost it, such a wonderful gem to watch again.
Why is there no one like Peter Sellers in comedy parts. Rest in peace Peter, a genius.
Sellers' legacy is so associated now with his personal difficulties, it is nice to see him just cutting up and having fun.
Amazed these films were ever completed.....How I would have loved to have been present in those studios....Peter Sellers....Magical :)

Not just a great comic actor, but a great serious actor, the movie, being there being a perfect example of seller's acting abilities

@@harrismiller1948 There was an outtake at the end of Being There during the credits with Sellers unable to do a scene without cracking up.
Hard to believe it's been more than 40 years since he died... a one of a kind comic genius.
So right, incredibly I think the best was yet to come.
Fantastically talented man, who fought so many demons in his personal life. He was one of the greatest ever chat show guests along with David Niven. Left this life far too early,but his wonderful talent is still there for us to watch when we need to laugh to brighten up a bad day. R.I.P Peter, thanks for those great laughter making scenes.

Wise decision, I began watching Steve Martin play the role and had to turn it off less than 10 mins in.
Saw an interview with Dyan Cannon years ago, and she said that her Pink Panther movies took 6 months longer to make because she could not stop laughing. These great outtakes, Thanks.
He has made me laugh so many times, it's good to see him laugh! I'm glad he had a good time making his movies... it shows on screen that he has a good sense of humor. RIP Peter Thank you for the laughs.

To see Robert Loggia lose it several times with a fart joke is priceless, having Peter Sellers around makes anything funnier.

Dyan Cannon's laugh was infectious and for her to try to fight back the laughter was even funnier.
Peter Sellers was a marvellous actor. He should have gotten an oscar for his performances in Dr. Strangelove.

Peter sellars was one of the greatest his outtakes were even funnier. "I used to be known as the pavlova of the parralell bars" classic.
I find it hard to imagine keeping it straight around that fool. He was a genius.
What a talent.Sellers was a naturally funny man.He was funny on and off the screen.He knocked on Spike Milligans hotel door dressed in just socks shoes and an umbrella .He asked Spike if he knew a good tailor.hahaha.

The time he shut spike milligan in the boot of his jag and drove round at 1 am so milligan could find out where the squeak was coming from . He got pulled over by the rozzas opened his cars boot and just said :
" oh it's you"
Then let them off .
Such comedic genius in that role and overall, just a great actor.
Comedies are the hardest to film because you have to not laugh at what is hilarious!
Peter Sellers was naturally gifted to make you laugh, he was a pure genius. Steve Martin is no where in comparison to Peter Sellers, his reenactment as Inspector Clouseau was a "Slap in the face" to Peter Sellers and to the Pink Panther movie itself.
Steve Martin is a fine comedian but there was no need to do any Pink Panthers without Peter Sellers. He is the only Clouseau

I didn’t bother to see the remake. Nothing against Steve Martin, because no one but Peter Sellers could play Inspec, Chief Inspector Clouseau.

I'd never seen any of these these until now, and always thought that there was no way that they could have made those films and kept straight faces throughout.....absolute legend.

Peter sellers, in his Parkinson interview, said how Blake Edwards kept all of the outtakes from the Panther movies -
and used to play them at his parties to amuse his close friends.
Blake E obviously knew that even the outtakes of a genius are special.
There must be lots of these gems still around.

AND others, it seems all my favorite actors have passed away: Guy Williams, Tyrone Power, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Yul Brenner, George Reeves... THESE are the GREATS. I would rather watch a movie or TV show with these guys in it than a movie with that idiot Johnny Derp (Depp) in it ANY time. It's no contest.

I never saw these before and they are really surprising and awesome. I remember watching this as a boy many (many!) years ago and laughing uproariously. I remember being in awe how Peter Sellers could always maintain his calm cool stoic demeanor. Seeing these, of course I now realize that those gags had him cracking up as well! Awesome.
And...the great Graham Stark, another comic genius. Those two gents together, magic.

I always heard he was a PAIn to work for and used to get angry if anybody made any mistakes... What aload of old bollocks. This is the 4th set of bloopers i have watched today from sellers and he looks like he is having the time of his life!
Wish Herbet Lom had been in a few outtakes I would love to see an outtake of a fight scene between Clousaeu and Cato

Oh man, that was awesome. Great job compiling all these outtakes. They really should have put them together like this on the DVDs. That last one in the elevator was the best. 20 takes and they still couldn't get through the fat sound without cracking up. LOL

PETER SELLERS! This man is comedy, the pink panther movies are one of the most funny with pure talent ever to have been filmed. I ask myself, how on earth can they ever get one scene going without any laughter, i know i would just burst into tears on every damn scene?

The fart in the lift gag is hilarious... Could not hold my laughter in every time I would hear that fart sound... guarantee they'll fire me as an extra if I was in that scene... Too many takes would've happen... 😂

It's so good to see this real side of Peter! He's a hero of mine and I grew up with his Pink Panther films, much to my benefit as a human, but I've never seen him just being a person cracking up. Thanks a ton for this compilation.
It's amazing to see that there were a few times when Sellers not only made his fellow actors and members of the film crew crack up but even cracked up himself.
I agree! It always seemed like he was in control no matter how funny the scene but knowing he would crack up too made him even more endearing. No one has ever made me laugh like he did.
