After having the Prophet 12 in my studio for several years, I've decided to create a video series to share some of the secrets I have unlocked in synthesizing sounds with it. I hope to discover new territory in synthesis with you all together.
    Cheers!

@@caleykelly Nice ! Do you sell a sound bank for the P12 ? Or do you have any sound bank to recommend ? I am looking for playable keys patches.

Thank you so much for these videos, I have a prophet 12 module and I absolutely love it so far. I’m not particularly adept at synthesis but I’ve found the synth to be a hell of alot of fun. Weirdly I like it most because of the feedback and distortion, I’m a big Jesus and Mary chain fan and I find that this synth can churn out really chaotic rock sounds...it’s got tons of attitude...especially in unison!! The mod matrix and number of lfos and extra envelopes means I can make the most disturbing sounds haha! I haven’t even explored the wavetables yet .. Looking forward to your future videos, cheers

Every time I turn mine on, I know it will be hours of time losing myself... I have not done this crossfadiing with footpedals because I don't have any. I have used the latched touch sliders for a similar effect albeit one-handed. Of course as you show, the LFOs can keep it all moving as well. All clearly explained and making me want to try some new things myself.
    Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your series and great insights. I have a P12 and I'm enjoying it a lot. It's super easy to make warm organic pads for me, but I struggle a bit with making nice electric piano type sounds. Could you maybe bring this up in a future episode?
More precisely, I'm not necessarily looking so much to make a typical 80s FM EP sound, but more towards a warm and clear rhodesesque EP, with good velocity dynamics and which sounds nice and full throughout the octaves. The EPs in the presets on the P12 are not super dynamic or organic to my ears. At least I would think that there is still loads of terrain that this brilliant instrument could cover.
At any rate, thanks for your series, I'm looking forward to future episodes.

    Great video!
I like that you program in small things that elevate the patches from good to great. I think that you could do some really coolstuff with the envelope repeat feature. Any chance you could use that to some extent in one of your videos? Imalso interested in creative ways you can use the phase offset in the lfo section. All the best

Sounds like church service in the BLADERUNNER universe…I can dig it…

Heya! What foot pedals are you using with your P12?
PS. The sound you got here was so lush. I often don’t think of the P12 as a wavetable synth but you nailed the sound here. :-)

Hey, thanks! The p12 can do some quite interesting wavetable stuff for sure.
I use Roland EV-5 expression pedals.
      Cheers!

I’m assuming all this applies to the Pro 2…because that’s the version of this hardware I actually want (and can afford)?

I believe most of it should yes.
