@@vinylrichie007 It was packed. The people there were very polite. The bands were boring. I got a cool record out of it so it wasn't a total waste of time.
Even tho I’m not familiar with many of these bands as I’m no punk afficionado but I always like watching videos about punk rock! I do own quite a little punk but most come from watching your vids and Ryan Kidd & Dr October and of course Tommy as well! Love hearing you share your stories of going to shows back in the day! Damn I want that Ryan Kidd LP I keep forgetting to check Band Camp but Im now on the case! ✨✌️👽✨
I have now counted 6 different tags going on. I need to set up my African funk and rock tag! I’m too lazy to do anymore of them. I did enjoy this as it does give us a chance to see more of your collection filled with punk albums I have never seen.
Wow, that's a big sombrero! Man. you go deep into the punk rock world, most of the stuff you showed I never heard of. My tastes in punk is mostly the classic NY and British bands of the first wave. I do have a few hardcore things like Black Flag and Bad Brains, but nothing like what you have. I'm always impressed by your vast knowledge of the punk genre. Nice one Rich!
Hey Richie. The much needed punk vinyl tag. Very cool. We can always depend on you to deliver the real street heat to the VC. Killer list. Thanks for sharing. Till later, Shawn.
Another punk book that seems cool is the semi-autobiographical novel by Nick Blinko of Rudimentary Peni. Also, the oral history of Leftover Crack was pretty amazing, if pure into them
Hey VR, punk is just about attitude, You got the “Tude”! I don’t know why punk has never really resonated with me. I guess I don’t have the Tude. lol Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman
Richie, great punk tag, superb bunch of books l had never heard of. Live gig records never really captured the feel, but that Ramones one is ace. I might get off my arse and do this tag.
Can’t go wrong with poison idea. I really like side 2 of let them eat jellybeans, there’s a band on side 2 called anonymous which was made up of two members, one of which is Steve Fisk who produced a bunch of stuff for beat happening, screaming trees, and the first two Girl Trouble albums
I was afraid that Punk is dead in the VC, but you saved it! Nice to see Kaaos and Terveet kädet here. Still waiting your finnish punk/hc vid. Kaaos LP was the most important album for me in 1st year on high school. Evil life have "nice" midlle speaks between songs. Thanks for tips of books. Hopefully I'll find some. And always happy to see old cassettes! High school describition of the VC is quite accurate. Reminds how I was loner there (I went thru 3 high schools in 3 different cities) and never got true friends.
Hi, really enjoyed your PUNK tag video and liked the reading of Sob Story. Like you Out of Step really hit home for me on a few levels and if you haven't check out the 40th anniversary 7inch Minor Threat Out of Step single with the interesting hidden track. Yes I agree the VC is like High School and can be pretty entertaining and funny sometimes.
@@vinylrichie007 I look at the KTLA website every morning and also the Fresno and Bakersfield news but I never think to check out San Bernardino news. I think I will start though.
I must not be a big punk fan, because I don't have most of these. Entertaining, as always 🙂I think I can only handle one tag per year. I hear on the cliques. It's almost like being in different grades . . .
This is awesome!!! Keith Morris is a good bullshitter haha, couldn’t agree more with you about the Exploited. Aliennosejob lyrics are a gem. You should create a tag! Cheers
@@Grooverski I hope you realize I could care less what Waxed demands. No one is going to tell me what channels or videos to watch. I think your videos the past week have been very good. I was fearing that you were getting a bit soft.
@@vinylrichie007 Ohhhh I see….soft huh? 🤣🤣🤣 You’re a funny guy. Now that’s the poking/motivation that I do appreciate. Waxed and the rest of them won’t but I certainly do. 😉😎 You might be your own man despite what Waxed thinks, but it won’t go unnoticed or appreciated on the far end of smelly VC swamp. Fair warning. It will be entertaining to watch tho. And I’ll be there in one way or the other to see it & report on it. Better have you big pants on Richie. Your hard punk reputation is on the line. i don't get into too much punk, (unless you count some of the pop punk bands from the 1990's on up) but ive heard of that band minor threat and The misfits, Mikey Bananas was playing some misfits on his twitch live show,i like em. and ive heard of the Let Them Eat Jellybeans, comp and you are somewhat right about certain clicks in the v c. but oh well!!!
I've not seen that brew! Of course, I am loving the discs you are showing in this! What I love about you is the obscure stuff you turn me on to! So many things that I love here! Poison Idea, Misfits, Black Flag, Circle Jerks so many great things! I had to go to Amazon and get that the Day the Country Died book!
‘84 was such a good year for punk and music in general

You’re my favorite record video to watch. Thanks you represent us older guys.

You was on point with this video....minus the commercial at the beginning. 😎🤟

I am going to a Canadian Black Metal band show tonight. I will be wearing my D.O.A. hoodie and the metal heads better bow down to it.
Did you survive the Black Metal show?
