Yakgwa (약과) or Yakwa is a traditional Korean cookies that is rich with flavors of ginger and honey and it's the most enjoyed sweet on korean festive days such as Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day) , marriages,...etc
المقادير:
----------- قطر حلوة الياكوا
350ج قطر الأرز
70ج عسل
120 مل ماء
4ـ5 قطع صغيرة من الزنجبيل
1 ملعقة كبيرة من مربى ليمون (اختياري)
----------- عجين حلوة الياكوا
100ج سكر
50 مل ماء
25 مل قطر حلوة الياكوا
50 مل زيت طبخ
250ج دقيق أبيض
1 ملعقة صغيرة من مسحوق القرفة
Ingredients :
---------- Yakgwa coating syrup:
350g rice syrup
70g honey
120ml water
4-5 small pieces of ginger
1 tbsp lemon jam (optional)
---------- Yakgwa dough:
100g sugar
50ml water
25ml yakgwa coating syrup
50ml cooking oil
250g all-purpose flour
1tsp cinnamon powder

These things are so good. I usually buy them at the store and always wish they were a bit sweeter, so I spread Honey on them and they're to die for tbh. Gonna try this recipe!!

i didn't try it, i followed the traditional recipe but it's an interesting idea..

You just need to find a chinese or corean supermarket in your area/city and voila 😊
Help, I don't find rice syrup anywhere 😭 Is there an alternative? Or can you tell me where to get it from?
You can get it from amazon or any asian supermarket

@@ashabhji6714 i think you can skip it, i've seen the syrup being made with corn syrup instead and also without any syrup i guess it gives the dipping a certain thickness
Its the same recipe in my country lebanon we call it macaron or zainab fingers because the shape is different.
hhhh, same thing in morocco and we call it 'chebakia'. just when we do 'chebakia' we use almond flour and some other ingredients but the outcome is quite the same with juste a different shape
