I remember being in the 5th grade going to school the day after my dad bought me black ops and was raving about this really small map called“nuke town”. Simple times man 🤙🏼

Kinda looks like CoD4. Man imagine remastered Chernobyl mission in this game. But between two completely different context and missions how crazily awesome would that have been.
Kinda off topic but I work in catering and today I worked at the San Diego Air and space museum. I served 150 of the Quiet Birdmen from the San Diego hangar tonight. These dudes were almost all pilots that flew in the WW2, Korea, Vietnam and the Middle East wars. The stories I heard by these pilots will never match the campaign of any video game. As I was busing tables, I just stood there listening to a one pilot that flew in Vietnam. As he got my attention, he looked right at me as if he was just telling his story to me.
He was the co pilot in this story. One evening around 5:30, they were doing a bombing campaign while being shot at with anti aircraft weapons. On the last run, they were shot at pretty seriously. They avoided being shot down so they did an evading maneuver which was around 9gs. Once they evaded the area. It was 6pm at this time and The man made a joke to his pilot and grabbed his shoulder. After no response, he pulled his hand back and saw it was covered in blood. He leaned over and confirmed he was dead while leaning on the controls. So he had to emergency eject both of them out before they would crash. They were deep in enemy territory when they ejected, so he knew he was about to be a POW. His radio was lost in the ejection, so he couldn’t call for help. He was captured and was telling the Vietcong that he needed medical attention. They didn’t give him any and were beating him until 4am. The next day, his rescue team had liberated him from the area and got the medical attention he needed.
That’s all I was able to hear before going back to work. Just wanted to share this to whoever reads this

@@SDSypher since you asked….it relates to the people that actually were involved in the wars that the games timelines take place, but I didn’t mention it because I was tired of typing about the other guys stories. So I overheard some other old pilots that use to test new aircraft and weapons, which are now declassified, at groom lake in the 50s and some that have combat flight operations during Vietnam and the ending of the Cold War. Some that test flown the SR-71, the U-2 spy plane, and tested the first cluster bombs. This map is based on the area they use to fly and blow stuff up around.

It really is a shame that fewer and fewer of these legends are around as time goes by. I had the honor of meeting a few ww2 and Vietnam vets throughout school assemblies and what not. By far the most interesting and brave people you will ever meet. With some stories that will absolutely force you to shut up, listen and evaluate the things that you find difficult in life compared to what they went through. Great story, thanks for sharing

I loved the train map but I forgot what it was called. Pretty sure MW2022 had that with the one map with the F1 cars and when you died to the f1 car it would show a killcam of the car mowing you down

I lowkey hate playing on nuketown but it wouldnt be black ops without it.
I think they will anounce that the game will launch with 4 remakes + 16 the new maps that were already mentioned. So they can bring even more hype around the game in the next direct.

I was so disappointed that Cold War didn't bring back Berlin Wall from BO1 but to be totally honest I'd be happy with any map from BO1 coming back that hasn't seen a remaster ever or a map from that game that rarely gets remade. Nuketown becomes less exciting to see return when literally every Treyarch game brings it back similarly to how practically every IW game brings back Shipment and Rust.

@@tehdanny682 personally Bo2 and 3 are my favorites, Cold War is okay and I tried to reinstall it but it needs an update file that for some reason takes 60+ hours to download and I have reasonable internet speed. Thats unacceptable.

Really hope they release a new zombie map every season. Not the biggest fan of outbreak. I enjoy the theme and setting to every zombie map. Infinite warfare was the last cod with a robust zombie mode, with a variety of levels each having their own theme, setting and soundtrack to fit the era. Really hope they give the zombie mode the same treatment
Never been a fan of treyarch maps, too simple. I do like the look of omni directional movement though.

To be frank this game is going to be a skill-based matchmaking nightmare with no identity just like the recent Call of Duty games I will actually give this game a go when I see what I like which is the removal of eomm and I actual identity to do with Black Ops soldiers and not weirdo singers and tree people
