For help with coronavirus. Speak quietly out loud or in normal voice "God, please make my health perfect and completely free from harmful virus. Thank you." Repeat every 1-2 hours (8-16 times a day) as long as the pandemic lasts and a vaccine or other cure is not available. God is love. This helps. No cost. www.howtocallongodforhelp.com "A problem exists today regarding some know how to call on God for help while others do not. This loving help is available to all of us regardless of moral character, religious views, and personal beliefs. God does not punish and helps anyone asking correctly. God is love." Follow CDC guidelines and Dr. Fauci's recommendations. Please share. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. My mom died from COVID on 5/6/20 after being in the hospital for three weeks. My dad is still battling his COVID disease. He is at an acute care hospital with a tracheotomy. We were told he wouldn’t recover to his same self and will need to be in a nursing home. It’s so sad for me and my siblings because like others, we weren’t able to see and talk with my mom before she died. We are able to talk with our dad, but only through FaceTime. I can’t imagine how lonely my dad feels. He’s been use to family and friends all of his life. This virus is such a big heartbreak for all families that have experienced loss.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. My husband also lost his Mom who lived in Nursing Home. She had been on no medications prior and was one of dozens who perished in her facility. Her facility moved all known “cases” to another facility designated as a Covid Center. She never had breathing problems. She had fever and off and on cough. She thankfully didn’t struggle. Lost ability to swallow. She died 2 days later. I think that most nursing homes are housing patients too closely together in rooms. We had a funeral in a funeral home with only 8 of us there. We shared her funeral on a group Zoom call with many family members including her only surviving sibling who was so grateful to see her and share wonderful memories of this special woman. We followed hearse to burial site and they agreed to drive past the Rest Home where several employees were standing holding signs of remembrance. They also drove past the home where she grew up. Surreal days indeed but her funeral and burial was beautiful.

My dad who is 80 was admitted into hospital with a leg infection in Melbourne Australia. Due to Dad suffering from Dementia and mum being 76 with back issues as a result from constant lifting of my dad, the hospital care team recommended Dad be placed in transitional care whilst we search for an aged care facility. I knew then in my heart that Dad was going to be placed at a high risk. Subsequently 8 days in the transitional care facility we were informed that a patient tested positive to COVID-19. A few days later dad tested positive and we have been told to prepare for his passing in the coming days. Seeing a man that was you protector diminish into a fragile being is something I cannot explain. He now lies in his hospital bed at the transitional care facility alone in isolation with the family visiting him from the outside window as if we were visiting a zoo. I thought this virus was a joke but seeing a loved one go through what I’m now seeing is something I would not recommend. I’m glad knowing that he is listening to his favourite music as it calms and puts him at ease and am now waiting for that call, your dad has passed. What if’s pop into my head. Guilt plays a part. But I know I can’t blame myself or anybody for this. It’s a beast that decides on who it wants to take. Dad you have nothing to worry about mate. When your time comes everybody will be fine. Your will never leave as your DNA is in me . Together forever.

My condolences to you and your family. I work in a nursing home and to date we have no Covid patients. Were one of the few in the county. Eventhough our PPE is running low, we are very vigilant and come up with ideas. My coworkers and I have put in money of our pockets to purchase masks and face shields. We bought raincoats, ponchos, anything that can be used as PPE we use. We double up and if a patient goes out of the facility for a procedure at the hospital, we put the patient in isolation precautions for 2 weeks no matter what. Always checking patients vital signs every 2 hrs. I pray to GOD each and every night that the patients and staff are safe.

My niece recently passed. Not able to have a typical viewing and funeral, her family arranged a memorial via Zoom, an internet conferencing app that allows a number of folks to join together in a video conference call. They had a minister officiating it, his words were short and sweet to allow time for those present to share their memories and thoughts. This also allowed friends and family who lived far away to participate where they couldnt otherwise. Everyone could see each other and time was allowed for everyone to greet one another. Funerals, like weddings, can also be family reunions. I’m sorry for your loss. You provide a valuable service and to out aside your own grief to ensure we all get value out of your own experience is incredibly generous. Thank you. Loss is never easy. And the pain doesn’t necessarily go away but over time can ease... a little. Sending you love, health, and good wishes.

I too lost my father on Monday May 4. The nursing home reached out to me to let me know his blood oxygen had dropped, he had difficulty breathing and were going to give him morphine. They asked me if I wanted to see him. I raced to the nursing home, put on all the PPE they gave me, was brought into the room but he was already passed. I was hysterical. I realized later that while this last vision of him was upsetting it also gave me a kind of closure as you suggested in your video. I’m glad I was given the opportunity to go see him in person. I just hope I didn’t take too much of a risk by doing that. Condolences to your family.

Nori, I am so sorry for your loss and grief. My parents are both in a nursing home and you are living what I have afraid what will happen to one or both of my parents. The nursing home has forbidden us from even going to their window to see them. Mom has called me twice, begging me to come and get her. They did have a parade for the residents yesterday and I got to see them as I drove by. Daddy couldn’t wake up to see us, even though the staff was trying their best to get him to. I broke. I just had all I could take, especially with Daddy being unable to see me there. I don’t want them to think that I have forgotten them and with dementia you don’t really know if they understand what’s going on. I am making a call to the funeral home this morning. I had thought about it before, but just didn’t do it. I am so very sorry that you are in this situation and that you have now lost both parents. Try to stay strong, but let the tears flow. They are part of the process and this was your daddy who is gone. Thank you for sharing the video.

I’m so very sorry for the lost of your parents, and I deeply regret that you and your family were not able to be at your father’s bedside. Thank God more hospitals and nursing homes are starting to allow at least one or two family members to visit their loved ones, although with some restrictions. I can’t begin to thank you enough for sharing this information even in the midst of your grief. The fall season is approaching and COVID19 cases are beginning to rise again. Families need to be prepared for death whether or not there is a pandemic. While it’s an uncomfortable conversation for most people, we all can ease the pain for our surviving families by preparing well ahead of our final time. In addition to what your video covers, I would like to mention that a living Trust, a Power of attorney for financial and medical decisions, and life insurance or prepaid memorial arrangements help tremendously in providing the family with a blueprint for the final wishes of the deceased. Some of these documents are available online ( Legal Zoom for example). And hospitals, cemeteries and insurance companies can provide some of these documents too. You may not always need an attorney. And you don’t have to be rich. In most states a Will gives little protection for assets and decisions, because Wills can be contested in court. This can create a long expensive process called Probate. This process is run by the State, so that the estate ( belongings & property) of the deceased can be divided among the family however the state feels is necessary. A separate probate process occurs in each state that the deceased owns property. This process can go on for Months or even Years. Each state deducts the cost of probate out of the estate. Thank you for helping to remind us that even a little preparation can make a huge difference for grieving families. God Bless You and Your Family. 🙏

I just lost my beautiful Mom 6 days ago to covid. She was only 56 and perfectly healthy :(. She fought hard in the hospital for 2 weeks before the virus took her life. This has been the hardest thing I’ve gone through in my entire life. We weren’t allowed to be there with her to hold her hand. We couldn’t say goodbye to her in person only over a FaceTime call. We couldn’t see her body after 😭. It is traumatizing to say the least. It doesn’t feel real.

I lost my father a week ago due to COVID19. He was admitted to the hospital on May 12th, placed on a ventilator by May 13th, and passed away on May 25th. During his time in the hospital, although he was sedated, I was able to speak to him via zoom (thanks to the nurses.) I was very fortunate because I was allowed to see my father two hours before he passed away. I was able to hold his hand and speak to him before he passed away. If you have a family member in the hospital call at least once a day to get an update, ask questions, ask to see your family member even if they cannot see you!! Lastly, if you get "the call", ask if you can visit.
My family was very fortunate to have an open casket viewing with a marachi band playing throughout the four hours of the wake. We laughed, cried, sang songs, and had a procession. He will be cremated within the upcoming week, in a year we will take his ashes to Mexico and bury them next to his father's grave. With all of that said, our final goodbyes wouldn't have been as meaningful if we went with another funeral homes. Several funeral homes near me were not doing any viewings/wakes, strictly cremation or burial. Please "shop around" for a great funeral home who will take care of your family and treat you like family. The funeral home director went above and beyond for my family, everything we asked for they worked their magic and made it happen. Saying your final goodbyes plays such a big role in the grieving process. Nothing will ever be the same but we received the some of the closure we needed.

I am so sorry for your loss. My 81 year old dad had Covid, congestion and mild fever and extreme fatigue. He never sought medical help, but had Mom seeing after him. Somehow, she never caught it (we assume she had it in December and still immune with antibodies.) He slept a lot. But recovered mostly after 2 weeks. Most ppl don't seek help, they don't even know they have it. They just assume they have a bad cold. I would have, but many friends had the same symptoms and the ones that were tested was positive. Thank you for Sharing. God Bless You and your family.

Maybe you could you do a video about your parents, sharing photos, a little home video and tell us what their strengths were and what knowledge they were able to share with you. I think it might help people who are currently grieving, to remember the good times, though hard it may be. May you find peace.

That was a very powerful video to watch. I so admire you for making it. My reaction other than sympathy is anger. Anger for what you and your father went through. Anger at our primitive country opening up too soon. Anger at friends of mine who aren't adhering to stay at home guidelines and not social distancing even though one of them is a nurse at a nursing home, anger at the President who did next to nothing to provide aggressive coordination across the 50 states and Puerto Rico. It's like we are in a diseased culture, a fanasty nightmare movie we can't escape from. I get some strength to do my part and get more strength watching folks like you. Very very sorry for your loss.

I also lost my hero... he was healthy otherwise... but he passed away from Covid -12/02/20... at the age of 70!!!!
He was not in a facility.. he was living in his own home caring for my little 7 year old niece. I also knew of the high rates of the elders, but somehow I also didn’t think my day would become a victim. Within 18 days, of him getting diagnosed he passed away... please please, I beg of you.... take care of your elders...
my dad chose comfort care since the doctors said he was not a candidate of lung transplant, or eckmo, or anything else...... they said, if he chose the ventilator, he’ll be dependent on it until we have to disconnect him..... so my dad made the painful choice.
I will forever live with the guilt of not taking my dad out, of visiting more, or calling him more... I cannot do anything anymore.... he’s gone.... but if you have your parents, please connect with them more. Create special bonds because I was too consumed with my life with kids, home , college app’s, etc..that I left out my own dad... please don’t judge me... I’m already suffering every single minute that goes by. Take care and May God bless you.

I just want to say I am deeply sorry for your loss and I hope that you overcome your guilt. You loved your dad and he knows that. You could've done more and still will find a way to feel guilty, because you love your dad. I just lost my husband from Covid/Cancer and I was with him 24/7 for the past 10 years and during every breath he took till he past, but yet, I feel guilty, maybe I could've done this or that, or shouldn't have done this or that and everyday suffer from the feeling of guilt. Nobody is perfect and will feel guilty for anything because we love that person so deeply and that person is gone. So please try to find a way for you to feel better about yourself, because I am sure your father would be happier if you are happy. I am in a process of doing that for myself.

@@SL-fz3ex Thank you for your kind words. After 9months, the pain is still there, but I move forward by remembering our happy days, when he’d take us out every Friday to Taco Bell, jimmy jacks, and to Kmart to get those soggy subways.😆 . My dad would always help me on those science projects doing the volcano, got cooler pump and created the lava effect,…. He was awesome! I do that with my own children too… 6 months before he passed away on my nephew’s 18th birthday, he made a speech. It was as if he knew he’d pass away. Asked for for forgiveness for all his wrong-doings etc, for always working, not giving us the love we deserved . My sister and I had forgiven him years ago and completely understood him. Have you ever heard: “Cats in the cradle “-- that was us but my dad and I had our own bond. Yes, I could have made more time for him….. he’d deserved it…. He never abandoned us. He was a family man without bad habits. He did not bring his friends to our house. My dad raised my sister alone while my mom left and came….
There are many mornings, while I’m dropping the boys of to school, that I scream in the van crying for my dad… wondering why he left so suddenly.. why did god take him… wondering if I could x years of my life just to hug, kiss, talk to him, I probably would..
When the doctors told us, he would die with comfort… I understood it… but I preyed for a miracle… that he would suddenly wake up and get up… that we’d use this experience to make up for the missed time… that we’d go to the beach, to Disney land, go camping, etc…. but it didn’t happen…. God has his own ways.. not mines…. God left us with my mom…. She’ll never replace my dad. We’re working on our relationship as there are many struggles to deal… she was always distant with us and we don’t know her very much…. My sis and I have a little bit of resentment and we take one step forward and two back , but we’ll work on it. My mom is still prideful… doesn’t like to apologize but it’s ok… maybe God did this so we can work on our relationship with God and my mom.. so we can appreciate the meaning of life, love, and God.
You’ll be in my prayers too. I have to believe you sent me a message from my dad from Heaven… we miss you so much dad, we have to let you rest. Know you’ll always be in our hearts and thoughts.. till it’s our turn to part this world. Till we meet again..
      Thank you SL😇🥲😇

My dad died from COVID-19 10 days ago. At first, his symptoms were just mild. Then it got difficult to breathe. His roommate found him unconscious on the floor and call 911. My dad’s lungs were not responding to treatment. He was also diabetic and had hypertension. He got lung scars. He then got in a heart attack and into cardiac rest, and because his blood oxygen levels were so low caused by COVID, he didn’t survive it. He died on the morning of August 10, 2021. He was 59 at time of death. All of his children ( including me) are in their early 20s.
