It was one of my first videos, so I've put my soul into this status - so good to see such a reaction from you. The Edge was inspiration for me as well and I'm glad someone (and actually a lot) of people paying thier respecrts to this character. Excellence is not an art, it is a pure habit.
It was supposed to be a status video, but in the end it became somewhat tribute to The Edge. No offence, Haven is a good game - with a banger soundtrack.
Furi is a great game and I really enjoyed the vibe of Edge. Fun video to watch. But also: This introduced me to Haven, and I swear that game just rewired my brain in the best of ways. For that I am so grateful, thank you.

There are a lot of examples that duel becomes incredbile when your opponent plays by the same rules as you are, having similliar fighting style (and they even respect you!). One of the greatest boss fights in all close-combat duels, that's for sure

When I first encountered this guy and heard him say the line about not fighting each other but fighting ourselves. That shit has stuck with me for a long time. So often we seek out a place to direct aggression and anger, but those feelings of inadequacy and weakness stem from within. This dude literally convinced me to just beat the fuck out of myself until my excellence is pure habit.

Passing from the Bullet hell of The Burst (i hate her so much) to him felt...ethereal. No crazy bullet patterns,no high numbers of lives,just pure sword fight that hits you like a truck when you get hit.
Guilty Gear and Furi crossovers are not what I would expect here. This is interesting, because The Edge was trained to fight his equal opponent, Rider, who's also a samurai just like Nago. It also means he knows how to deal with the opponent who can't die easily and heals after each fight, which is simillar to gears regeneration. He would be a formidabble opponent to Nago in my opinion, but I can't gurantee he would win in terms of strength. However, if we take Furier difficulty (which is the initial way to play acctoring to devs), he knocks out Raider in 4 hits and his splash after combo in second phase takes almost all of his health. In terms of Story, Nago posseses overpowered abilities and tremendous strength while being able to sense weak points gives him huge advantage against The Edge, who's unlike him mortal and was trained to deal with Rider only. In the end, even Sol had hard time dealing with the vampire. In terms of gameplay, I think they would be equal. The Edge is like Jetstream Sam but without Muramasa Blade and double jumps and Nago has his abilities reduced. The Edge would be like Ghostblade in terms of strength, if we'll take another project of Arc Sys, DNF Duel.
@@LilyTheMentallyInsane Guilty Gear scaling is OP as hell lore wise tho. Furi's verse is like near lightspeed and I think the highest tier is town level based on some statements.
In japanese voice over it sounds more tense. In concept arts Edge is also pretty old, or mature. So yeah, you're right. Guy's face expression is angry as hell!

This game is so freaking amazing and this is by far THE best boss imo.
