There is a guy that I found dying on a beach when I went near him he grabbed me and gave me a letter to some woman and told Arthur that he never stopped trying. Is there a backstory to that guy
Yes, it’s a neat little reference to a character that was in the first Red Dead Redemption. Bonnie Mcfarlane found John lying outside of Fort Mercer, unconscious and bleeding after he was shot trying to capture Bill Williamson. She takes him back to her ranch and nurses him back to health in return for him helping her around the farm. A lot of young gamers such as myself at the time who played Red Dead crushed hard for Bonnie cause the character was so beautiful, dirty blonde with freckles kinda like Sadie Adler, and she seemed like the perfect match for John due to the chemistry between the two characters. That’s actually one of my few gripes is when it comes to romance in their games, rockstar tends to walk on eggshells and only scratch the surface. An example would be John & Bonnie, the closest thing they got to being intimate or romantic is a glance or a hand on the shoulder. But if they had even a single kiss, it would’ve made the game & story so much more powerful, as John has always been loyal to Abigail even as she was held hostage by the pinkertons over the course of RDR1, but was clearly starved of intimacy and a woman’s touch. Maybe just one sympathetic kiss between them and that’s it, before they decide to stay as genuine friends. Another example would be the glaring gold mine of an opportunity for the best relationship in video game history: Arthur & Sadie. Two folks who’d lost everything, more ghosts than people as Arthur himself said. Again, I’m not saying they shoulda had a full fledge relationship, but just a few moments here and there to take comfort in each other’s arms & touch. Like Sadie laying her head on his shoulder or clasping her hand with his. But instead, they made her a “monster” whose dialogue would only be about killin’ them damn O’Driscolls and how tough she is compared to the average woman. That gravelly, masculine tone in her voice was just terrible IMO. I love that gravelly tone that some women have in their voice, but only when they speak like they’re biologically female and not a man in a woman’s body. They could’ve given Sadie a great character arc, but as with many other female characters in games & movies, they made her one-dimensional out of fear of being seen as sexist or whatever if they tried to make her actually human.
I always interpreted the hanging guy was the one in the coffin. the hearse was travelling but then a gang of bandits or mercs were out to desecrate the body somehow and they "killed the man again", so to speak, like the dude was so hated or persecuted he need that extra layer of death... idk, there's nothing there to confirm any theory either way, iirc
In regards to number 8, I sincerely thank you for the effort you put into your content. It's very subtle things like that that the average player like myself probably wouldn't know is significant until like I did, find out after the fact it's not just a fluke and it is indeed significant. @@skxlter5747 neat idea, but they'd probably just make him crazy. It would sell better and look better in a trailer. Marketing would prevail in the end. But honestly, I would rather his back story be more mysterious than explained. Mystery is one of the Red Dead's greatest virtues after all.
A wonderful video as always! Every time i think i've completed the game, something new is discovered haha. Keep it up, partner, these videos are absolutely awesome! By the way, i want to ask you if you could do a video about "Nuevo Paraíso" in RDR2, there are a lot of things such as dog barks, a special soundtrack similar to the first game but with some different tracks, and basically all the deleted stuff that are still inside the game files. I'd appreciate it a lot if you do something like this video but for Nuevo Paraíso.
I actually killed my first bat at Solomon's Folly in RDR2. Didn't even know they were a thing in the game until I stumbled upon that secret. Afterwards, I thought R* missed an opportunity to add those huge bats from Undead Nightmare there. It'd be a nice reference imo.
Watching Strange Man's videos makes me want to go back and play RDR2 again...but I know that I'll have to wade through dozens of hours of the same exact stuff to get to a point that I feel I can freely explore...so I'll just keep watching these videos and live vicariously through the Strange Man!
I know this video is almost a year old, but I stumbled on the channel a few days ago and have been enthralled by the detail and production value. But my word, I've played this game four times and there are all sorts of things that I've missed. Very cool! :)
for the chelonians in that camp you should take a closer look at the stick on the ground its a dowsing rod and it looks like they were trying to find water due to all the buckets.
I thought New Austin would be a place full of lawmen because that's what's implied when Dutch says they can't ride west anymore... but when we get there as John in 1907 there's no reason to believe there'd be any risk for the gang if they went there after the blackwater heist... for some reason they kept going east then north, closer and closer to the pinkertons and to civilization
In mission Angelo Bronte, A Man Of Honor you can find a ghost or just strange woman on Saint Denis's graveyard. Make video about that... For collection)
Those bats have perfect carcass, they're dificult to shoot if you go close to them, make sure you're far away from the barn, or else they start flying at the speed of light, and while they're upside down sleeping, shoot one with an small game arrow. I tried this a few times, sometimes they spawn there, sometimes they don't, and i tried that a few times because if you scare them, once they fly, you can't track them, not even with the Dead Eye cause they fly so fast that they despawn at mid air.

Hey stange man! Really loving all your rdr2 content. I myself have also spent an embarassingly large amount of hours in this game, no regrets :). Just wanted to mention that I’ve come across several stuctures that have bats flying out of them when you approach. One of them are in Pleasance if I remember correctly, and I dont remember the exact location of the second one of the top of my head, but I believe its a small house near a small lake, and the house has had a tree fall through the roof. You can climb up the tree, enter the house, and get some loot and a pamphlet. Not sure if these things are related in any way, but might be worth checking out. Keep up the good work my man! Cheers

The hearse being the vampires seems very unlikely cuz why tf would he hang the driver? Like he would've just sucked his blood dry from his body instead of hanging him, doesn't make sense
I always thought the body that was hung WAS the body in the coffin, maybe he's hanging there because of the Skinner Brothers or some demented third party came by, raided the hearse thinking it was a stagecoach, then kidnapped the driver to be killed while hanging the already dead corpse
I think I read somewhere online where some people say the driver hanged himself because he saw a terrible creature and didn’t want to be killed by it. John can read Chinese because he was raised by the Chinese triads before he met Dutch (some even say he is half Chinese), who came to wash his clothes in John's drycleaner store (which is still in St. Denis). When Dutch left, he noticed he was robbed of everything, went back, found out who did it and recruited John for his gang. The Chinese were so angry at John's side switching that they will act to this day that they never seen him before and completely socially isolate him, which is worse than killing him according to the boss who is called Ji Sung or something. I have to check my game. It's in the 'Pinkerton's lost journal - John' you can find around Lemoyne.
The donkey lady was a real folk tale in Helotes Texas, a woman had to lead her stubborn mule inside during a thunderstorm only for her to become fused with the creature. There used to be a number you could call where a crazy donkey screaming could be heard many times.
The armadillo curse in my opinion ruins the entire games continuity to rdr 1, like in rdr 1 there is no mention of a past cholera plague killing evryone or can u find the picture again on herbert moons store, like rdr 2 has alot of continuity problems, which is why I think rdr 2 is a soft reboot to the franchise.

The woman is bonnie MacFarlane, she is character in rdr1
@@WhaleofDreams how much coke did you do before writing this comment?
"The driver was hung"
😳 Well...
Jokes aside, another great video strange man! Keep em' coming!
Oooooh so are you homosexual?
Ohhhh soo your gay?
Gay
Didnt know you can play as Jake paul
The way you create these videos is incredible from the soundtrack to the editing. This is better then anything else I've seen. Really cinematic
You’re awesome. Thank you so much for making these brilliant in depth videos. RDR2 really is so immersive
The bats at Solomon’s Folly could be a nod to Undead Nightmare as when anything in undead nightmare died, bats would fly out of nowhere.
The beginning of the video is absolutely awesome. The cutting, the music, how perfectly it's matched. I could watch this forever. 😍
Your editing is top notch and very well thought out! I love seeing it. Shows that you really care about your videos and the vibes they give off!
In regards to number 8, I sincerely thank you for the effort you put into your content. It's very subtle things like that that the average player like myself probably wouldn't know is significant until like I did, find out after the fact it's not just a fluke and it is indeed significant. I know I'm rambling, but my point is thank you, Strange Man.
It's really nice to see someone who knows how to edit a video properly with great atmosphere.I used to watch MrBossFTW for my RDR2 myths and stories but after watching your videos his are just click bait and his theories are loose at best. Keep up the good work
They should introduce Seth in red dead online part of a prospector role
The best thing about him were his interaction with John, making him talk to a character who can't it's not the same
Dead Lumbago the online character can talk, they just refuse to. In some taunts don’t go as far as to say Ye ha or woohoo. There’s probably more but I only own the free ones.
@@deadlumbago2502 well in 1899 Seth would be a normal guy cuz it was in 1911 where he went insane or a few years before that. So we'd be seeing a scary normal Seth like we've never seen before
@@skxlter5747 oh yeah wondering how he'd be
@@skxlter5747 neat idea, but they'd probably just make him crazy. It would sell better and look better in a trailer. Marketing would prevail in the end.
But honestly, I would rather his back story be more mysterious than explained. Mystery is one of the Red Dead's greatest virtues after all.
I wish they'd keep adding stuff to this game. I never want it to end!
Or made rdr3. Im still waiting.
@@ThePlaybo0y Keep waiting. GTA6 is the next project, which means likely 10 years at least until we see a new RDR.
@@yetigonecrazy than i will wait 10 years
A wonderful video as always!
This is amazing, everything you make is so professionally made and informative!
Your videos are so clean, informative and well edited. Keep it up, my favorite uploads from any channel to see on my feed
I actually killed my first bat at Solomon's Folly in RDR2. Didn't even know they were a thing in the game until I stumbled upon that secret. Afterwards, I thought R* missed an opportunity to add those huge bats from Undead Nightmare there. It'd be a nice reference imo.
Watching Strange Man's videos makes me want to go back and play RDR2 again...but I know that I'll have to wade through dozens of hours of the same exact stuff to get to a point that I feel I can freely explore...so I'll just keep watching these videos and live vicariously through the Strange Man!
dude, the sound track is creepy 😂😬😬
As usual you never disappoint with these vids! Well done
The editing of the first entry where John kills the Del Lobos is top notch
For collection)
that nun right ? h8 her
Like playing the actual mission? Who would ever think to go wandering during a mission
Ive only seen it in my second play through. I was wondering wtf that was.
@@shadowking4736 Yup
@@nickcapella2440 In graveyard you need searching. I searched and find this woman, which blinked away from me.
The strange man reminds me of Gaunter 'O Dimm from the witcher 3
Now that you mention it, they ARE quite similar!!
Idk I can wholeheartedly say that gaunter 'o dimm is evil the strange man I don't really know
Hey starngy dude I appreciate the work , perfectly edited , not a single mistake throughout the video even with old games videos for further explanations is a nice touch , you earned a new subscriber
*BIG SMOKE*
Cheers
Amazing ! The priest left Cali 53 years before it was brought into the union, never put the mission as his destination together but was curious , thank you ! And those shootout edits !👍 👌
New Austin feels like an after thought in story mode. Should have done a lot more with John once it opened up other than just Blackwater.
I mean the whole region is pretty much a big easter egg in rdr2 that you can only experience after you finish the main story
Dude... the theatrical value in the beginning was amazing. Your editing is killer bro.
I’d like to pitch the idea that Strange Man may actually be one of 4 Horseman, possibly Death, but also possibly Famine, if you connect him to the curses and diseases between both games.
Wouldn't he then be pestilence
I love the way you've made these videos so creatively, while many others would just have a dull voiceover explaining stuff
stranger man you cres in a hidden ending, there are several channels that do create it, and you who are one of the best rdr2 researchers I've ever seen I'm sure you would solve the hidden ending a greeting and keep it up
What do you mean by hidden ending? I thought there's only 1 ending
@@kitewashere one in which arthur is alive because in new Austin and armadillo he cannot but we all know that jhon and Arthur painted in their diaraio and that arthur does it better. Oh wait let me do it for you Webster's Dictionary: Use hanged when referring to a person being suspended by a rope around the neck until dead.
@@iimdone no, you're wrong. Pictures are hung. People are hanged
It sounds better saying hung
Im Done the driver had a 15 inch shlong confirmed
Your content and editing are real amazing. I gave my like before watching. Such a fine work you made partner.
The hearse being the vampires seems very unlikely cuz why tf would he hang the driver? Like he would've just sucked his blood dry from his body instead of hanging him, doesn't make sense
I lost honor for shooting the hanged man's body down.
Since he’s supernaturally strong, rose from the dead and was in a coffin I think he’s a good suspect
Probably the driver hang up by self after been suck it.
He don't wanna be a vampire
I always thought the body that was hung WAS the body in the coffin, maybe he's hanging there because of the Skinner Brothers or some demented third party came by, raided the hearse thinking it was a stagecoach, then kidnapped the driver to be killed while hanging the already dead corpse
I think I read somewhere online where some people say the driver hanged himself because he saw a terrible creature and didn’t want to be killed by it. There’s a video talking about this hearse, you can go check it out. The video mentions about a werewolf creature that appeared in rdr1 near that area.
Oh my god i love how you edit these videos, theres a violin playing in the background, and then the zombie was playing it. Thats the best transition.
I found this yt channel 3 days ago. I must say i am impressed. Keep doing these cool things.
Ever since I found your Channel a few days ago I've been watching every videos you've been my Red Dead Redemption 2 fix I've needed like everyone else I am Blown Away by The Mysteries of Lore Red Dead Redemption 2 and although we won't get any DLCs of any kind for this game (given Rockstar's new way of doing things) and Red Redemption 3 seems light years away your videos help me come up with ideas for this game thank you
#2 says “i implore you to show wisdom” on the letter i wonder if thats where john got that from when he says it to bill at the beginning of rdr1
Your editing skills are magnificent. Best rdr UA-camr by a mile.
Shoutout to MrBossFTW for permanentely causing confusion amongst a lot of the easter eggs in the game with his dumbazz theories.
I feel like #8 was supposed to be another vampire encounter; similar to the one on Saint Denis. What happens is a vampire is feasting on the Del Logo corpses in the barn, and Rockstar decided to scrap it. But they left in the bats, either by accident on purpose.
My favorite New Austin secret is the Strange Man because he is so mysterious👻
@Dutch van der Linde yer he can be seen on the hills at dusk a cording to npcs maybe a 100% thing like gta V and the ufos.
@Dutch van der linde He said according to the NPCs
You can only find him on Rdr1
The driver was "hanged" sorry, like the lady says in Saint Denis "people are hanged"
@OrdinaryTuber The driver was hanged and I posed by the body while he hung there.
@OrdinaryTuber its hanged u dinlo
@OrdinaryTuber hanged is what is done to someone. Hung is what has happened to said someone.
Actually it depends on the sentence structure, so forget about my previous sentence but yea in this instance it's hanged.
@OrdinaryTuber nope sorry, people are hanged learned that in high school English.
The donkey lady was a real folk tale in Helotes Texas, a woman had to lead her stubborn mule inside during a thunderstorm only for her to become fused with the creature. There used to be a number you could call where a crazy donkey screaming could be heard many times.
Damn strange man. . How high are you when you make these? They're magnificent
Must be high on the best kush available too
So you think a person has to be high in order to be talented...? That's a terrible way to think.
Nice nice nice, the connection with the coffin and the vampire, absolute brilliant! Thanks man for the discovery.
isnt there a house that blows up when you get too close to it?
i forget where it was, but i thought it was in New Austin
Its on the road to rathskeller fork and im sure it just explodes due to bad moonshiners or something like that
I lean new stuff about the game with almost every video keep up the good work
For a second I thought it said ‘thanks to my parents” and then it showed 15 people I was like wow that’s a lot of mums and dads
Its not only mums and dads could be brothers and sister granparents

6:28 "I walk with the undeeeaaad hahahá",he was probably making fun of The Walking Dead and the whisperers 🤣
“I’M HERBERT MOOOOOOON, You have to help me!!” Anybody else kind of disappointed that wasn’t in RDR2?! No, just me?
The armadillo curse in my opinion ruins the entire games continuity to rdr 1, like in rdr 1 there is no mention of a past cholera plague killing evryone or can u find the picture again on herbert moons store, like rdr 2 has alot of continuity problems, which is why I think rdr 2 is a soft reboot to the franchise.
Well thats whats gonna happen when you make a prequel as the sequel.
I never checked it, but I heard, in rdr 1 was an Cholera epidemic mentioned, and that the father of Bonnie mcfarlane was infected and survived. But you are right, all this missed opportunities and continuity Problems in rdr 2 driving me nuts too. (I hate it for example, that the architecture of the tumbleweed mansion looks so different lol)
@@plimbo2.0 exactly right that's what I also noticed when playing the game I was like wait a minute I thought John got shot n left behind in the blackwater massacre, then later on in the game it was a train robbery where he was betrayed but then when u play rdr 1 he says it was a bank job where he got left behind... Rockstar needs some better writers on some of its stories.
@@Byesteiners right lol also another thing is John says in rdr 1 hes never been around the new Austin area (desert) till 1911 but in rdr 2 he's there lol, another one is also that Bonnie McFarlane's barn was built in 1904 but in 1907 it's not there neither is the their train station, not even the blackwater train station is there! That solomans folly secret is so cool. I never liked that place because it felt so bland to me and I always found it eerie. This secret imo is one of the coolest in the game because it's so natural and it makes the place extremely memorable. I'll never go by that place the same again.
The Editing with the del lobos was outstanding
You have the best Red Dead videos . Great editing, no click bait and no incessant blabbing.
Your ending music sounds like the Harmonica man tune from Once upon a time in the West. You made me look it up.
There is another "batt" scare moment in the main area of the game in an area I cant remember the name of, its in that small "burnt" little town or village, the one with that small jail that has the 2 dead bodies inside the burnt jail, one of the buildings has a bunch of Bats that suddenly fly out & scare the crap out of you & your horse, there is also a lovely secret "Gold Bar" under one of the burnt desks in one of the buildings, I just found it early in chapter 2.
Very solid content! Thanks for doing this, Strange Man!
