I got the theme from underneath 15x18, but it's cropped up a number of times over the years, and it really sounds like him now.

When it transitions to Dean's theme at the end... no, no, I'm fine, there's just some sand in my eye, is all.
there's something painful but perfect about cas's theme being so tender and achingly beautiful, and dean's theme being abbreviated... but if i look too hard at it my brain will set itself on fire so i'm going to stop now.

castiel had the biggest character growth in all of the supernatural characters how he went from an emotion less soldier of the lord to betray heaven and stand aside the winchesters and fight with them was just beautifull
Ok but Castiel's theme is the perfect combination of despair and hope, idk how else to explain it. It's painful and makes me cry but also makes me feel like the person from who's POV this is, is happy in the sadness. It sounds exactly like someone sacrificing themselves for a loved one. And the way it transitions to Dean's theme which is nothing but utter despair and hopelessness. FERAL. THIS IS FERAL.
The hope that Dean will understand and maybe reciprocate, and the despair knowing that the Empty will come so they can never be... Hurts.
That Dean theme always makes me fucking cry, GOD DAMNIT.
