Here is my piano cover of "Dean's Family Theme" also known as Dean's Family Dedication theme or Americana, from the cult classic horror television series, Supernatural! This theme plays many times during Sam and Dean's family moments, but most notably plays during the Season 5 Finale. Thank you for 5,000 subscribers, this is my 50th Video Milestone!

Oddly enough, this song doesn't just make me think about the boys anymore. It makes me think about how much growing up I've done alongside this show. Hell I started watching at 7 years old, season 1. I remember every season. And I remember everything I was going through at the time, managing to get through it because of this show.
It's a feeling of acknowledgement of the losses and heartache with the rememberance of the good times (both in show and in real life) I'm sure plenty of fans feel listening to this song.
Because a lot of us became a family thanks to this show. And we're still going because of the lessons it taught us...
So to every soul this song touched, to every hunter feeling a little lost, to every wayward son and daughter out there reading this...
I'm proud of us. We made it this far. We're still going to make it even further. But we've got work to do.

I'm also one of those people who started watching it when I was 8 years old I remembered when it used to come on WB and the new episode used to come out on Tuesday 😏 and also used to repeat on Sunday 😅 it's been a long time with this show I'm sad to see it go 😢

Ik you already finished supernatural, ik you want that first feeling back of watching it. Just dont watch it for a couple months like I do 😂. Im never going to stop watching supernatural, always playing in my house lol
On April 21, 1967, the 100 millionth GM vehicle rolled off the line at the plant in Janesville -- a blue two-door caprice.
There was a big ceremony, speeches. The lieutenant governor even showed up. Three days later, another car rolled off that same line. No one gave two craps about her. But they should have, because this 1967 Chevrolet Impala would turn out to be the most important car -- no, the most important object -- in pretty much the whole universe.
She was first owned by Sal Moriarty, an alcoholic with two ex-wives and three blocked arteries. On weekends, he'd drive around giving bibles to the poor "gettin' folks right for judgment day".
That's what he said. Sam and Dean don't know any of this, but if they did, I bet they'd smile.
After Sal died, she ended up at Rainbow Motors, a used-car lot in Lawrence, where a young marine bought her on impulse. That is, after a little advice from a friend. I guess that's where this story begins.
And here's where it ends.
The impala, of course, Has all the things other cars have...and a few things they don't. But none of that stuff's important. This is the stuff that's important. The army man that Sam crammed in the ashtray --it's still stuck there. The legos that Dean shoved into the vents --to this day, heat comes on and they can hear 'em rattle. These are the things that make the car theirs --really theirs. Even when Dean rebuilt her from the ground up, he made sure all these little things stayed, 'cause it's the blemishes that make her beautiful. The devil doesn't know or care what kind of car the boys drive.
In between jobs, Sam and Dean would sometimes get a day --sometimes a week, if they were lucky. They'd pass the time lining their pockets. Sam used to insist on honest work, but now he hustles pool, like his brother. They could go anywhere and do anything. They drove 1,000 miles for an Ozzy show, two days for a Jayhawks game. And when it was clear, they'd park her in the middle of nowhere, sit on the hood, and watch the stars...for hours...without saying a word. It never occurred to them that, sure, maybe they never really had a roof and four walls, but they were never, in fact, homeless. That's a good line.
Endings are hard. Any chapped-ass monkey with a keyboard can poop out a beginning, but endings are impossible. You try to tie up every loose end, but you never can. The fans are always gonna bitch. There's always gonna be holes. And since it's the ending, it's all supposed to add up to something. I'm telling you, they're a raging pain in the ass.
This is the last Dean and Bobby will see of each other for a very long time. And, for the record, at this point next week, Bobby will be hunting a rugaru outside of Dayton. But not Dean.
Dean didn't want Cas to save him. Every part of him, every fiber he's got, wants to die, or find a way to bring Sam back. But he isn't gonna do either. Because he made a promise.
So, what's it all add up to? It's hard to say. But me, I'd say this was a test...for Sam and Dean. And I think they did all right. Up against good, evil, angels, devils, destiny, and God himself, they made their own choice. They chose family. And, well...isn't that kinda the whole point? No doubt -- endings are hard. But then again...nothing ever really ends, does it?

Same I remember that season I cried it was so sad I've kept up with the Supernatural since it first came out I'm going to cry if Sam and Dean really die.
The show came on the year after I graduated high school. And I was really in a dark place. And now I am a grown man with a family of my own. This show meant everything to me and hearing this theme reminds me of what has happened in my life since then.

This song always gives you memories of what the brothers have been through, the sad times, the good times and just makes you really emotional and nostalgic in more ways than one. Besides the song giving me memories of supernatural it also makes me think of my family. Those who have died and gone and those who are here. I guess you can say I'm like Sam and Dean I've lost loved ones too, & friends I've through a whole lot me and my mom has we've been through hell and back geez really hits your feelings when you listen to this song makes me think of Sam dieing in some of the episodes gosh I felt bad for Dean having to suffer losing Sam *Has tears in my eyes thinking of Sammy*

I just, last night ,saw the series finale..I hid it from my wife & 22 y/o son( who got me started watching SN 13 years ago), but cried during the last15 minutes or so.
But after they went to bed, I cried my eyes out.
Eyes are still red today.

Most people commenting about Sam and Dean and such all that comes to mind for me was 2009 late nights I was 3 with my grandpa watching this along with teen titans or samurai jack and stuff but this song will forever be with me in that memory. I miss and love you puppy 1947- 2020 its but about 9 months now but I will never forget the man and idol who taught me on how to be human, and be kind and caring, and on how to never give up.

Aahhh the spn feelsss ;_; I listen to this again and again, so beautiful :) still after all these years, this song pops up now and then. It's amazing! Still there's another song in 3x07 it's the scene when Sam tells Dean "I wish you would drop the show and be my brother again" and that song is so beautiful! But I could never find it :( If I could I would transcribe it myself, but their voices are in the way haha ;)
