A great place to visit. Interesting to hear how things have changed from the time we visited. (January 2002) At that time we were able to take a tandem powered hang glider flight over the ruins - a spectacular way to view the whole ensemble!

At the 6:50 mark you mentioned that this'll be last time anyone will be able to visit the temple of the Red Queen as they are closing down the entrance at the end of the year, which I'm presuming is 2017. I was there, inside the temple, in February, 2020 and they told us the very same thing! 🤣
Hahaha... that sounds very interesting. They seem to take time to close that tomb, but even better so that many can still visit it. We hope you enjoyed your visit there. We had a great time there and would like to go back. Thank you for watching.

It was nearly overwhelming. And by the end of the year they will close it so one cannot enter it anymore...

This is a great video! my trip to Palenque is next week!! I'm actually staying at the hotel you recommended. Did you take a taxi or book with the tour company to see the ruins on your own?

Thank you very much for watching! We actually took a taxi to the ruins and took one of the guides that wait at the entrance. That was all fairly easy.

Auch nicht so viele Touris oder es verläuft sich wohl, bei der Riesenanlage.Wieviel Mayas haben denn dort gelebt?

Karin Flucke Das war wirklich ein toller Ausflug bzw Stätte. Tausende haben dort gelebt, habe es leider vergessen. Es ist vor allem verrückt, das no h gar nicht alles ausgegraben bzw. entdeckt ist. Es können noch ganze Gräber mit Gold usw gefunden werden. Noch sind wir offen für Neues... Liebe Grüsse

palenque tienes muchísimas pirámides ero está muy olvidado prinsipalmemte los gobernadores nun asen nada para sacar más pirámides d la selva en otros lugares d Chiapas hay muchas pirámides para conoser solo palenque no tiene muchas pirámides todas están cubiertas con la selva
