J.K.Rowling ✌️⭐🦄 you are a strong woman. Thank you All for giving The People The books and fun and hope.
Thank you all✌️⭐🦄😊 stay strong and belive in your self✌️⭐🦄😊❤️
Loved this book and all the previous. Thanks for everything JKR 🤍
what a brilliant and lovely person
Let her write as much as she wants for these books, people often say her books are too long, I couldn’t disagree more
Even if I'm not HP fan, I have respect for what she've achieved.
Totally, I finished ibh in four days. It's long but the pages fly by.
Thank you J K Rowling ❤️ for everything 🧙♂️📖🕵️♂️📚✒️💻💪
To all of those "kind" people bashing JK here... She states what you also believed until 5 years ago. Either you were also an evil person back then or you're dishonest right now. A man who adopts particular stereotypes associated with a woman isn't a woman. He doesn't "feel like a woman" because feeling is an abstract concept. He doesn't "identify as a woman" because only a woman can legitimately label themselves a woman. He isn't "adopting the role of a woman" because a woman requires specific biology for reproduction. And if "woman" was a role that you could choose then there would have to be a set of mandatory stereotypes that someone would need to adopt in order to be categorized as adopting the role of "woman". This list of stereotypes doesn't exist.
The Rowling Library, this is to say a massive thank you for your wonderful archiving work and for your fantastic channel. I really admire J.K. Rowling and I especially love her Graham Norton interviews. Listening to her talk to Graham is so inspiring and mind-broadening - a heartfelt thank you for making it so accessible.
Brilliant 💚💜 and thanks for sharing this interview
I missed hearing her talking, this was a lovely interview
This woman changed my life 💕💕💕
I feel the same 😊
Ink Black Heart was AMAZING! Loved how it explored fandoms, especially since HP has such a huge one. Fandoms take on a personality of their own! Miss the HP fandom in its prime! Reading the Mugglenet Wall of Shame was as of my favorite hobbies.
I love you J.K. Rowling 😭
Love love looove Graham as interviewer and JKR as author and human being!!!
5:41 I know she will never say what cartoon she's talking about, but I get the feeling it's Steven Universe.
I was thinking the same
Wait, why, what’s up with the fandom 🤪 (I was thinking it was South Park or smt lol)
I thought it might be Rick and Morty
I assumed it was Rick & Morty
I reckon it's rem and stimpy - the animator was an abuser of young girls and would invite in fans and abuse, i reckon the fandom around that might be mega toxic
I love this woman. she is smart and her Strike novels are just AMAZING! so excited for the new book!
i wish someone would ask JK what sort of history books she recommends. im pretty sure shes well versed in antiquity
Yeah, she studied Classics at the university. I’d also love to hear her “book list”! 😍
I loved Graham even more for having Rowling on, but now I hear he's called her view that biological sex matters, and matters most in certain contexts, 'problematic'. Oh dear.
In what way is it 'problematic', Graham? Why is something that humans have instinctively known for thousands of years suddenly 'problematic', simply because a group of extremists have begun delluding themselves that they can alter reality by changing the meaning of words?
Why is it 'problematic' for females to state the obvious fact that they need the public spaces in which they undress or sleep to be female-only? What's 'problematic' about female rape victims demanding female counsellors? What's 'problematic' about female inmates demanding that they not be forced to share prisons with male sex offenders?
You see, Graham's not an idiot, so for him to have used that term, he cannot have thought it through. There's a massive problem with that - people unwittingly supporting an ideology that is causing:
1. the denial of sexuality (gender identity ideologues refuse to recognise that sexuality is based on sex, rather than gender identity, and so they're having lesbians kicked off their own dating sites for proclaming their same-sex attraction and refusing to date any males, even those who choose to appropriate womanhood and consider themselves to be women),
2. the rape of women (several male sex offenders have raped and sexually assaulted female inmates as a result of the self-id, the policy of placing in women's prisons men who 'identify' as trans, even where they are still physically intact males),
3. the unnecessary mutilation of a disproportionate number of gay and autistic children (they are over-represented among children who report experiencing gender dysphoria, which is a condition that desists in 80% of children and teens, if left untreated medically; once puberty-blockers are given, however, more than 95% of children end up transitioning, which strongly suggests that blocking normal puberty exacerbates gender dysphoria) and
4. the chilling of free speech (when women like Rowling speak out, they're threatened with rape and murder, companies like Paypal are banning those who speak out, the police in several countries have questioned and/or arrested people for criticising the ideology and in Ireland, the government recently saw fit to haul the national broadcaster over the coals for allowing critics of the ideology to speak on one of its programmes).
I doubt Graham, like many of this ideology's naive supporters, is aware of any of this. To them, it's all about 'human rights' and they're utterly blind to the sinister side of gender identity ideology.
What's truly 'problematic', Graham, is the 'magical thinking' of gender identity ideologues and their authoritarian and totalitarian forcing of this ideology down the rest of our throats. Why? Well, as the above shows, it's leading to truly crazy consequences, and the flagrant breach of other people's rights.
I hope he reads that, thanks. Delia Morris
All your points are blown out of proportion, driven by fear. The real problem is toxic masculinity with cis men violently killing 52 women a week, and raping women. The biggest threat to a woman is her cis gendered make spouse. Concentrate on issues that actually matter, don’t hide your bigotry behind concern for women.
Gender and Sex are a different thing. This is a scientific fact. Your rhetoric is based on pure transphobia.
Perhaps focus on your second point, and ask your friends and family if they've felt threatened by a trans person versus a cisgender man. I can guarantee you than every woman you know has felt afraid at best, or assaulted at worst, from a cisgendered man.
Trans people are trying to just exist in this world and live their lives, leave them alone.
I do sometimes think her books bog a bit in the middle. A bit repetitive here and there. A brave editor could cut a few thousand words, but I still like it long!
Oh, please don't stop at 10 books! These are amazing, I really love to read and re-read them :)
It's marvelous hear her speak. Weating for the new book!
Thanks, Graham Norton. JKR sounds cheerful, and I am glad of that.
Thank you!
This was nice, thanks.
Can't wait for Ink The Ink Black Heart. Plotting how I can get out of the office on release day to get my copy. Have already alerted family and friends I am busy next weekend. Enjoyed the chat, thank you. 📚😀
Can Not Wait!!!Thank you The Rowling Library
for all you do👋❤
Lovely interview. I can’t believe she has 10 books in mind! THAT’S AWESOME.
P.S.: Amazon will deliver ‘The Ink Black Heart’ between the end of September and the beginning of October. 😭😭😭 I don’t want to wait this long.
buy it from a normal bookshop or kindle then
@@fakadak1 I have the entire physical collection. :( But your idea is good.
Love this! Please keep up the good work with more interviews?
I wonder what cartoon her kids were talking about 🧐
You could just look up which cartoon has the most toxic fandom and it's apparently Adventure Time.
@@thediligentdog7749 Yeah, I got the same result, had no ideia AT fandom is apparently toxic 😶 If she'd asked me I probably would've said Star Wars, BTS or One Direction 😅
I’ve seen a lot of people say it is Rick & Morty
Which part of the video is it ? Please do tell
Nah , i got it via Transcription mode in YT app for Android

This was wonderful. Absolutely beautiful
Shame Graham had to go and describe Joanne as "problematic" since this interview. Another one bites the dust.
Wait what happened?
@@nycmore8247 He did an interview recently where he dismissed the idea of cancel culture and described it as "accountability". He's been taken in by the woke mob and wants to save his career by not voicing support for people like JK Rowling and Graham Linehan.

pretty sure it's rick and morty

Must read The Ink Black Heart.
Before I listen to this, are there any spoilers? I’ve only read the first four yet!
She said, she like Adele?
Harry Potter and the adventures of CBT when ?
Why are all these people in the comments praising a bigot?
Why are all these bigots in the comments slating a Woman who stands for Women's rights.......
+
@@valkyraevixx5710 so because she stands for women’s rights suddenly the rights of trans people dont matter?
@@helix5441 and that's exactly the sort of baseless comment that stops any of this being taken seriously- when the demands of one group of people threaten the safety, rights and freedoms of another. That's not a "rights" issue that's just privilege. No male bodied persons will be alowed into Female spaces.

Male Attacks upon Women are crimes and will not be tolerated
@@helix5441 The only rights she’s every criticised for trans people are those that conflict with the rights of (female) women. You might think that self-ID is a good enough qualification to use single-sex spaces, but there are a lot of women who disagree and who are being treated like pariahs simply for thinking that sex is more important than gender identity. You can be gender non-conforming, you can live in the societal role of a woman, but it doesn’t make you the same as someone who is actually female. And it’s also pretty offensive to many to be told that “feeling like a woman” (whatever that could possibly mean) or taking on gender stereotypes is what defines womanhood, not simply being female. Gender isn’t a personality, but people have started treating it like it is. You can be female or male with ANY personality, and any mix of the traits society calls masculine or feminine. Anyone who’s ever examined gender roles critically can see that they are frequently damaging and constraining things, and if you can’t see that there’s a problem with deciding that the societal role of woman is true womanhood, when it was created by a society led by men, then you need to think a bit more deeply about it. It would be grossly offensive to claim to be black as a white person purely because you identify with societal stereotypes of black people, so why is it OK to do it when it comes to gender?
Can’t believe GN would give a platform for this woman to continue processing her impossibly stunted worldview :/
What worldview don't you like?
And what world view is that? That men and women can dress and act however they wish but being feminine doesn’t make u a woman? That you can’t change sex?
Wake up from the sexist nonsense ffs.

the future fucking sucks.
O damn, she got the courage to leave her house. I cant remember hearing her voice since she got a target on her back
Everything this woman writes and speaks is vitriol disguised as prose

Everything You wrote about This Woman is mysoginistic bigotry vitriol disguised as vertue signaling
Like many gender identity ideologues, you misunderstand language. You cannot simply change the meaning of words to suit your agenda and you cannot use language to warp reality.
'Vitriol' is what trans activists have spewed at Rowling, by threatening her with rape and murder. THAT is an actual example of vitriol.
So disappointing he let her on his show.
Why
@@fan1985ful She doesn't accept that transgender women are women.

Ahh poor you
Are you upset😭
Think of it as him _inviting_ her rather than "letting" her, and you might be less disappointed.

@@user-zo4pl3vw6o Way to tell us all that you're intellectually insecure...
Disappointing that as a gay man Graham would give her a platform on his show
@Matteo if pronouns offend you that much you’re in for a rude awakening
+
A gay man is EXACTLY who should be giving her a platform, because gender identity ideologues are homophobic and lesbophobic - they deny that sex-based attraction is a thing. Some of them even deny that biological sex exists, or that it's binary. That's a direct threat to people who's sexuality is sex-based.
Dreadful right? Anyone you do not agree with should not be heard. Delia Morris
Gender ideology says homosexuality doesn't exist. LGB people have been force teamed with straight people with self proclaimed "gender identities" and the sooner they shake them off.the better because its destroying all they have achieved
Rowling's pen name: Robert Galbraith.
Fun fact: Robert Galbraith Heath invented conversion therapy.
Fun fact: You typed 2 sentences and one was a lie.
Robert Galbraith Heath experimented with conversion therapy (among other things - e.g. schizophrenia, but all as subsections of a deeper study on deep brain stimulation). He by no means, however, "invented conversion therapy".
