The Bells of St Barnabas, Pimlico

ST BARNABAS, PIMLICO in the City of Westminster has a ring of 10 bells with a tenor weighing 19cwt 3qtr 7lbs in the key of E. They form a complete ring, all cast in 1849 by Charles & George Mears at Whitechapel. The ringing here is an hour into the first peal on the bells for 120 years, rung on 17 Sept 2022 while HM Queen Elizabeth II lay in state up the road. The bells are fully muffled except for the tenor backstroke. The band is ringing Grandsire Caters. The poor state of repair of the installation made the ringing of these bells very challenging.

I think thry need a toral overhaul with new fittings and im sure simpson retuning would work wonders.
Actually painting the ringing room either white of cream would help as it looks very dull and rather depressing.

I doubt you could tell the difference between e and e flat.
It is rare for people to have perfect.

My point is many ringers think of you play them a note they can tell you what note it is.
The fact is very few people can tell the note unless compared with a known note.
People who can do this are said to have perfect pitch.
