The vegitable you were asking about is called bok choy. I am a chef and we use it quite often here in America. It is easy to grow so they farmers around here Wilmington, North Carolina grow it locally

It's fake and toned down for the non spice loving Japanese. So he doesnt have to worry. Anywhere that caters to non Chengdu or Chongqing natives is 100% fake and toned down.

I watch your videos almost every day even though I've already seen all of them already i like to go back and just watch some of my favorites over again to see if there was something that i had missed or maybe just want to see again. I always watch the EMTs that you reference throughout. I hope that one day soon i am chosen to receive the get some snack packs! I would enjoy that more than anything just to be able to share it with my children so that they can see the differences between american snacks and Japanese ones. I love teaching them about different cultures. Cant wait for the next EMT!!!!! #teamgetsome

I really like connective tissue - it's a textural thing. Unchoy/un choi AKA 'swamp cabbage has hollow, straw-like stems. It is NOT watercress. Both are delicious in their own way.
Man that stuff looks great. I just started cooking Szechuan foods at home here in New Hampshire, and it is almost impossible to find real Szechuan peppercorns here in America. Love the videos and cheers from New Hampshire.

When it comes to Chinese food, Szechuan is by far my favorite cuisine. Love all dishes you had.
Go to Chengdu and have real Sichuan cuisine. Except for maybe 2 or 3 places, it doesn't exist in the Western Hemisphere.
We have very good authentic Sichuanese restaurants in the Netherlands fortunately. Especially in Rotterdam. They cook the traditional cuisine.
