- This video is about removing and replacing of the Fuel injector rail pressure regulator for the Nissan V6(Vg33e) Engine featured in the Nissan/Infiniti Navarra/QX4 and others. A fail fuel pressure regulator will cause the detection of ECU trouble code DTC P0300 is a Random Cylinder Misfire. Random cylinder Misfire can be caused by may different malfunction part associated with fuel system or the ignition circuit. Sometimes the engine will not operate properly during a DTC P0300 code, and sometimes the engine will operate good. A DTC P0300 always cause engine power lose and must be fix to delete the code. During the course of driving or engine at idle a DTC P0300 will be detected with no malfunction to engine operation. this type of DTC code will lead to incorrect fueling and lose of power. See how we remove the fuel pressure regulator without removing the fuel injection rail. Regardless of the function of the FPR, the vacuum rubber hose should be checked for broken to cause air leak.

It is a good idea to tape over the intake so if you drop something it does NOT go into the engine.
Thanks for great video. I just had mine done, I had a gas smell everytime I parked my Frontier. Now no gas smell, thanks🤙🏽🤙🏽
Sweet! Thanks for another cool video Steve. I've been getting further into my VG33E of my 2003 Xterra. Did quite a lot and looking to do more soon. Your upper intake removal and reassembly videos were very helpful. I completed a lot of work, and learned a lot about the engine. Very cool stuff! Cheers.
Thank you
How do i know the pressure regulator is the problem? Thanks
Does a 2010 Nissan Maxima SV have a similar fuel pressure regulator?
Where did the fuel regulator hose go to on the intake manifold connections?
I’m having a hard time getting my screw off it seems to be warped some. I think I should come with the power tool and cut flat head grooves in it.
Just pull the entire rail. Much safer than spinning blades in that small space.
Okay if it snaps into the block and is connected to the fuel rail; why would it need bolt holes on both sides?? They should be hex bolts anyways!
Can you replace this fuel pressure regulator on the VG33E without having to remove the valve covers and all that etc.?
very dififcult. had to remove them done by my mechanic. then I replaced it with an adjustable universal FPR... in that way if it goes bad I can replace it easily because it allows relocation
But you must to tell people for what reason you replace.
