I saw a video where this girl only put the dual form on half of her nail and then filled in the area closer to her cuticle with the brush. This might help you if you have issues with lifting near your cuticle!
I do this when I fill my polygel nails. When they grow out, I dremmel the color and what is lifting, and then I fill in with gel builder (not polygel), and then I just buff/file to shape.
Thank you! I honestly felt like everyone in the entire world must have the same shape for nails because no one has had any complaints about polygel or dual forms, but the dual forms don't really fit my nails well. It's not the same problem as you have, but the dual forms won't sit properly on many of my fingers either. My pinky did exactly the same thing as yours, where you could see my actual nail underneath the dual form... An e-file would help but I'm not sure if I want to invest in one just yet.
i think you would benefit from doing polygel using paper forms! it's a tad more complicated but in using those you can definitely get a custom shape for your nail beds!
I just watched a video and she actually talked about different forms. She said to make sure your forms are curved not flat or lifting will happen. Just purchase a different form and I think you will have success.
I have a question i hope you will reply... So my question is when washing your hair will the poly nail come off? Like im so scared of if coming off, and im getting my poly gel set this week, im so excited!!
TIP: There is two types of dual forms the straight ones and the curved ones. If your nail is more curved go for the curved dual forms and if your nail is more straight go for the straight ones.
Loved the video, BUT be aware that sometimes if your nails become very curved like yours might be, it could be a sign of a health issue, primarily to do with your respiratory system.
Lazy People thank you! I will keep that in mind. It’s only my pointer fingers that are really curved but it’s been like that since I was a kid though 😄
This was a really helpful review. I also have very curved nails so I can't do press ons or use regular tips so i've been on the fence about ordering a kit cause of this. Did you happen to find curved forms that fit your nails?
I buyed polygel, but I could easily take the fake nail off my real nail even the same day as I got my nails done. Is that just bc of the quality of the polygel?
You may of used too much close to your cuticle on the forms, then pressed a little bit too hard on that area, looks like you didnt clean around cuticle area with brush? . File down thick areas.xx
I think a lot of Asian people have long, curved nail beds. White people seem to have shorter flatter nail beds. From my observation it seems like maybe Black people are intermediate. Just anecdotal observation.
isabel martinez no, they are by far the most difficult to remove of all of the products I’ve tried. It requires a lot of drilling to get the bulk of the product off and then soaking to dissolve the rest.
I have a lot of trouble with damaged nails after acrylics and gel usually leaves my nails healthier than they would be with acrylics. Did the poly gel end up damaging your nails to the extent of gel or like an acrylic?
Alex P yes, but it could have just been my experience. Out of everything I’ve tried, dip powder is by far my favorite as it doesn’t peel as easily as the others. Mine stay on for up to 4 weeks if I let it and I’m able to remove it and redo my nails. All the others end up lifting or peeling after 1.5 weeks or so and once that happens I’m tempted to peel which damages my nails. I hope this helps. 😊
@@maiz3558 yeah I did a thinner layer of gel nail varnish base coat underneath, after using a dehydrator. Also didn’t press on as hard when applying the gel forms, they’ve lasted 2 weeks now!!
I just ordered a poly gel kit today off amazon and i already have a lamp at home that i got for gel nail polish a few years ago, does anyone know if it will work to cure the poly gel?
but you also need to prep your nails file and use primer and other stuff, I don't get why she has negative feedback if she hasn't done this more than a couple of times if you want to make a review maybe wait until you have more experience and know what to do.

Emily Taylor that’s a great idea! I didn’t even think about doing that! I will definitely give this a try next time. Thank you! 😊
That’s exactly what I was thinking!

That was an EXCELLENT drawing and illustration.
You can also make a base with poligel, cure it and then aply the dual forms to help on your issue. I think that is something that you can try.
Lucy Britez thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely try that! 😊

What a great thorough review!
Agree
I think they make curve dual forms that you can search on amazon but I’m not sure ✨💜
The best thing to do is to get the shape, and then fill the cuticle.
Love the details and the art form too!
I’d love to see you try with a nail form 👍🏽
hey girly for the nailbed thing just buy more curved ones or apply pressure to the top half and apply some near the cuticle
and blend it in to the rest of the gel
Also you can cut your nails shorter ...& another thing is add more product then work around it
Very enjoyable video & helpful too. Thank you so much for the thorough detailed explanation
So how long did it last 😊

Thx for creating this video
Why do polynail pop right off after like 3 days
I would just add more polygel and use an e-file underneath to thin it out. I love how easy polygel is, however they pop off if I hit them too hard.
which did u buy? your the first I heard with the issue the dual forms were too flat
They have some curved plastic options to place the poly gel do you think that would work? 🤔

They make stickers for forming the nail that you might want to try
You can also use different type nail that can fix you
Tysm for taking ur time on explaining, i have been thinking abt trying polygel and this for sure covers ny questions! 💗
Linda TN you’re welcome! I’m so glad you found this helpful! 😊
Thanks girl!!!
Very nice detailed update thank you!
I got a lot from this since I am just starting out.
Wow! Mine are breaking with in the week of application... Idek what to do🤦🏽♀️
What worked for me was to not apply too much pressure to the dual forms because that squeezes out the poly gel and makes it too thin.
Mine are snapping within a day, or coming off within a few days 😭
thank you for this review it was very helpful :)
Thank you!

That looks fun
Thank you for this 😩
Or file the cuticles down and go in with a little gel to thick it

Quynh Pham if you just let them go do you think they will fall off eventually?

Ohhhhh I see them now...looks like you used way way way too much product
Mine literally last like a day, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
