the easy way would be to have a 12/24v charger that charges lithium/lead/lifepo4 that has a pulse repair there cheap as chips and there handy for all 12/24v batterys
I got Jazzy wheel chair new for my dad, in very short time he died, the wheel chair is never used for 2 years, I had same problem like yours , I did what you explained both lights came on, I left it for 2 days but no power, what should I do next, thank you.
I left mine uncharhed all winter again. Since the last video, I acquired a 12 volt battery charger. I hooked it up until the control lights came on then swapped to the actual chair charger. It took 16 or so hours, but is now fully charged again
I'm going to try this but 1st I have to get the covers off the batteries. I have a Pride Revo 2.0. 3 wheel & it says to lift the handle & pull straight up & should come right up & to start with the left side. I have tried & tried & it feels like it's locked any ideas before I start trying to pry it open?
Dude you have just saved me a lot of cash. Pops is in a home where he is going to be moving on! And I am stuck with a SHOPRIDER 6RUNNER 14HD which never ever had anyone ride in it . He always kept the thing charged. But 5 months after he was in the hospital we didn't even know that you have to keep it with a charge. So we ran it out of juice and now don't charge. Do you think a charge for a car battery on trickle will be okay?
Trickle charging with a car charger will do the trick, but if the cells have been dead for that long, you will be putting a bandage on a bruise. There's only so many CC"s these batteries have before they're totally chemically cauterized.
Would I be able to just disconnect the batteries and put them onto a trickle charger? I'm terrified of messing around with electricity, partially from my own ignorance.
This video is exactly what I needed. (I wish you would have put in the instructions to.... find out which wire is positive and which is negative. Question... I have 2 little jeeps like the one you have by the jazzy. The batteries won't charge. Can you explain how to jump start those please.
The Hot Wheels batteries are probably 6 Volt but they are probably not on a smart charger. The reason that this hack works is because I am fooling the smart charger Because the batteries weren't actually toasted they were just drained completely so Smart charger didn't recognize there were batteries hooked up to it to charge so it did nothing. I gave it a little bit of juice just to kick start the smart charger. Chances are the Hot Wheels has a regular charger so your charger that should charge no matter how low the battery is so chances are they are completely toasted and need replaced
Solid video. Basically your saying the newer "smart chargers" wouldn't allow the battery to charge- but a simpler charger of the same voltage allowed it to take a charge?
I used a trickle charger for a bit and then plugged the charger back in and the charge light is on now. I'll know for sure tomorrow once the charger has been going for long enough to see if it worked.
The battery very well could be dead all together with no bringing it back sorry to say. Mine were completely drained but not dead thats how this worked for me and maybe not for you
Thanks Jenny! So glad it helped. I appreciate the comment! It was going to be a big hassle to remove the batteries and I don't own a trickle charger so I worked with what I had. These new "smart" chargers are the reason it wouldn't charge. The battery cells were fine. Like I said in the video, this chair has never been used so I was sure they weren't spent.
Brilliant! - just got a chair for a friend with not too sure how good the batteries are, so will try this! Many thanks :)
Once the batteries go bad you may be able to charge them up but they won't last long.
mine weren't bad. They have held a charge just as long as ever

Oh, you mean the proper way...Didn't have one on deck and wasn't gonna go buy one😁
Thanks
I’ll do it your way

Ooof. Mine was super easy to get to. It was held on by velcro..lol . I'm napping but will hit u later
Give me a suscribe and like and I will do some research for ya.. 😆
Man, I would prolly have to look at it to tell

Possibly. Set it at 6 volts if possible. Dont blow it up! I'm an amateur lol

Yes. I just didn't have one handy. It works just fine. Hook up the trickle and let it run for about an hour and then you charger should pick it up
How did you determine which was the positive and which was the negative on the plug to the chair?
The Harness on the chair is actually labeled for me. It was the chord that I had to guess on LOL.
So my power light is on but not the charging/faults light is that the same problems you had
Yes

Exactly, but without buying a "dumb" charger that would fit. Just strip the wires of the charger for the kids toy and stick it in the harness.
How does the black/white connector separate? I cannot get mine apart.
Mine just pullled apart?
You do know that you will get that rainbow charger result no matter if it's charging or not tight?
It worked. That's all I know
Muchas gracias .. me sirvió tu consejo 🙏
And if I don't know how to do any of that?
@@scruffidogg ummm. Then...
Can I use a 12 volt battery charger on battery terminal instead of cutting wires and splicing?
I'm sure you can, I just didn't have one at the time..
I used a trickle charger for a bit and then plugged the charger back in and the charge light is on now. I'll know for sure tomorrow once the charger has been going for long enough to see if it worked.
Please I live in Ghana and I am having a it difficult charging my battery. It can't charge

Ok, I have an old wheelchair charger that has a bad cord, can I use it
How is the cord bad? Can u splice out the bad part?
What do I do
Watch the video again? Try a trickle charger? All I got..
Thank you so much for this!! Saved me hundreds of dollars on a new battery. Also, you are friggin hott! 😍

Are you in Cincinnati Ohio
No, relatively close though. Why do you ask?
Bro my wheelchair battery suddenly stopped working while I was running my wheelchair can you help me please.. Please guide me
Did it have good power and then just suddenly stopped?
You’ll go down the block and be pushing it back
Nope. Charged up good as new. It wasn't the batteries, it was the smart charger not allowing them to charge..
🤔Now what did you have to do to get your smart wheelchair to .Get it to let your battery to start charging up?
🤔What was making your smart wheelchair not allowing the battery to get changed up???
@menudo666 why not just charge batteries with a charger
