I find Regul save cleaner to be very useful in lessening lag. What I do is I clear out the cache after every game session (I don't even mess with the other settings, just the cache). The only caveat is loading time is a tad bit longer since the game has to rebuild a lot of things, but it's worth it imo for the improvement in game performance :)
I manually clear out the caches after each play as you’re right that does make a difference and definitely prevents crashes. I don’t tend to use regul save cleaner as my save files don’t usually get that big but it certainly can help! 💚
will this work for the EA Game App on my pc and the version 169 because that's what i have and i'm trying all this now because my game laggy and freezes from time to time like stop go stop go and i had had it i'm tried i the lag in my game i want it to run nice and smooth like it use too and i just can't play sims 4 anymore with all it's problems it's having again and again i'm tired of it and i really hope this works for me because i have the EA Game app and the Version is 169 and i tried repairing it and everything is still the same , i tried everything, so i hope really hope this work for that Ea App and the version it's on and if anyone else can help me out that would really be helpful thank you if you do. please help if you can if this does not work for me, doing it all now!
I have the same issue as well. I already have a premade family. And five minutes into the game, the game crashes. I didn't have this issue when I was playing on my brother's laptop
Guys i had this problem too. The problem with the sims 3 is that it isnt programmed to control the fps rate. This causes the fps rate to be as high as 1000 and then the game crashes. What you have to do is limit the fps rate to around 60 to 200. And then it runs just fine. This is curently the problem with the best graphic cards.
“Save as” is much more stable than just saving as it doesn’t bloat the save file. Just saving can often cause error 12 which prevents saving and crashes the game 🫤
@@TheSimGeek I don't think so. And the "save as" need more space on hard drive and if i have many saved as saves it's hard to follow them which one is which. I am playing Sims 3 some months ago, i used save only all my saves and nothing bad corrupt, or bug happened, because of not "save as".
@@myriahg6549 I don't do nothing wrong. Please read back more carefully, what i wrote here before. I said the save is ok too and not make any bad things, or any disadvantages no either.
My laptop is tired, and I like to get back to playing The sims 3 every once in a while, so all these tips are insanely helpful! Thank you so much!
The Sims 3 is definitely not very efficient for our poor computers! Glad to help 💚

I heard the "save as" can make more bugs in the Sims 3, so maybe not good choice.
