What particularly pains be about EA builds in ts3, beside the colours, are the textures... Why do they use so many of them and in such nonsensical way. Cracked paint on a bed?? A wicker bookcase?? Also I don't know, maybe it's a culture thing, but where I'm from I have never seen a tile countertop.. And EA uses it so often. Looks so impractical, shouldn't a countertop be smooth? Well anyway, thanks for a great video as always! I wonder, have you thought about taking this series to the Sims 2? I'd love to see you react to all the iconic Strangetown houses!
I must add to what you said... a DARK PURPLE wicker book case. Goodness, this isn’t Movie Hangout Stuff. I’ve seen a couple tile counter tops in my life (Canada and UK) but you’re right, most are just wood or a plastic fake marble. Sims 2 occupied houses will be season 2 xo
Twinbrook is my least favorite but ambitions is my favorite pack 🙃 I guess it’s because the world is inspired by the South, specifically Louisiana, so the builds/world (the swamp lol) is meh for me

I have to give a little push back, most of the builds are purposely made hideous to fit the the careers (especially, the design and architecture careers). I know I have said it before, and will say it again, most homes from the 1950's through to the early 1970's have lots of the greens that you so hate (and it definitely fits the timeline). Also, so many plumbing fixtures, as well as fridges and stoves are yellows, greens, powder pinks/blues (white was found mostly in modern apartments and hotels/motels). While anyone can find many things to throw shade at EA, when they do baby poo all over the place, at least in older builds, it is historically accurate. I have lived in NJ, NY, TX, LV, FL, CO, VA and have family/friends scattered throughout the US, green/yellow is extremely common. The houses I lived in had green/yellow/pink/blue toilets and sinks, while mist of the apartments had white or off-white/beige. I have never lived in modern houses, but stayed with friends part of my time in TX, they had a cabin with a chrome toilet (black cushion seating and lid), with a badet and chrome bathroom sink in the main house, and the tree house (where I stayed, has all wood fixtures), which I would say really tied into the whole aesthetic. As for the exterior of the homes where I first grew up, most of them were shingled, then later plastic siding, painted mostly greens, yellows, browns and blues (with a few pale pink and black houses mixed in). You would hate the interiors too, nearly all that renovated the pale green, pale blue or beige walls, would paint piss yellow to mustard yellow or panel (the nicer ones shades of brown), mostly using greens and blues. Most of the kitchen floors were cheap linoleum (in the rich homes, you might find big block tiles), all with hideous patterns. Bathroom floors so often had those itty bitty tiles almist always using the colors you absolutely hate (and they were a b-i-t-c-h to clean), and the same tiles were usually replicated over the tub, above block tiles (which made cleaning harder to reach the smaller tiles), on three sides (most tubs were placed in corners, with a wall bumped out, until enclosed tubs became popular with sliding glass/plastic doors). At least the tubs did have shower fixers (hence the need for the bumped out wall). So, where EA got this all wrong, they do not add a side wall to place a shower head (which is not even offered in the base game). So, the most realism is when the do place the tub-shower combos from wall to wall. Even if they place just a tub, I think one can add in modded functional fixures for the shower head and curtains. Understandably, not everything will be realistic, as well as functional, but at least we all get to utiluze our own visions to make each world to our pleasing❣ And where EA falls short, midders are there to rescue us❣👍
I've allways wondered WHY places like these houses are sooo fugly on the out side but sorta nice and Spacey on the inside in the sims 3 games. EA could have Done better with the colors at least. On the good side you CAN OWN the lot or lots and DO whatever you WANT to them. Thank goodness. I am working on a house I got in a lot rite now. That's MORE MY think than building cuz I'm NOT to good at building unfortunately but at least much of the work is done for me on the out side. It's definitely good enough for a house that's in Sunset Valley. Plus Sims don't seem to really mind much about color on houses much. They DO seem to Care about Space though . Lol. Silly Sims . I love playing Sims 3 and Sims 4 . BUT like HOW other places you CAN get too in Sims 3. Some of the builds other than the color of places are NOT to bad either in builds at least. ✌️👍
I can't with ea and like what's with the columns Not connected to the fences? the car in the basement? marsh mansion, um I think part of the house has been surgically removed.
Okay if you drink every time you hear "green" in this video you might actually get into ER, and I'd fully blame EA for that. Sorry you had to go through this for our pleasure 😁
You should also judge the pre-made houses in your library. I used to use them before I knew how to build and now looking a them I feel ashamed that my sims ever lived in them
The big deck joke 😭😭😭 the versatile joke 😵😵😵☠🤟🙌🙌 Also damn i rarely play in twinbrook but now i have more reason not to 😅 i like playing with premade families but those houses,,,,,,,,,
weeeird... I only played this town to dump and view cc abandoned mansions and hospitals, and after watching many of your videos decided to tour the town with tab. then I immediately searched to see if you reviewed this town.. you did! and I'm laughing a lot (thank you) is it possible that patterns and colors change for each playthrough? you looked at a house with a secret basement and in my file, the car was a COP car not a sporty looking car.. and some patterns and colors in other houses I swear were different. (I was just there!) have you experienced this? or dis I somehow download a whole re-painted town?
That sounds harder than when I made a house in alphabetical order haha maybe I’ll give it a shot. It won’t be big, maybe just a starter. I can’t imagine making more than one green bedroom or bathroom lol
Hey friend. Just wanted to let you know that I have now got Sims 3 up and running on a new laptop that I'd bought when I was still in Florida and still working. So now I have all the EPs and SPs on my laptop. So now I am playing in other worlds other than Sunset Valley. But sadly :( I have to redo my save file for Sunset Valley all over again. I am currently trying to download Sims 4 right now too.
Can you comment on more than color? Talk more about layout, functionality, suitability for the sims that live there, etc. Like I get that you hate green but there’s so much more you can say than that…
yes, sorry there wasn't much diversity this time, honestly the layouts are decent, nothing ridiculously broken or inconvenient that I saw, but if the second half all look like this i will just skip over the horrible colours.. some of the larger houses are yet to come and those often have problems with floor plans
The whole Twinbrook vibe is like ugly but I like it because it feels real. It's swampy and poor looking and I imagine that nothing has been updated since the late 70s or early80s.
I also have the ambitions pack . It's pretty cool. Good amount of activities to DO definitely. 👍 Some of the builds of that pack aren't to bad but NOT that Great either. Like I said B4 EA could HAV done a better on some of those places. 👎 But the pack is good at least.👍
It’s still my favourite EP regardless of how twinbrook looks. It suits my game play (I usually only play sims 2 premades) so I can live my best ambitious life while everyone else in twinbrook can live in ugly houses. I
Ah, Twinbrook... When I first saw this world, I really loved it but then I saw the houses and ewww... Sunset Valley 2.0 I never played in this world again. That is until a few days ago. I actually started a new file in Twinbrook because it fits the vibe of my vision. Twinbrook is actually a pretty nice world when you look at it from the map. It really is just the houses. They are so awful, I can't look at them. I deleted the entire population of this world because I am putting in my own cast one by one but the first thing I do before I love someone into a matching lot for them is renovating it. It really is tiring me out this point. The uglyness knows no limits here so I try to change as little as possible for the most parts. It means, it doesn't has to become pretty but at least take away the bwarf. 😖 I mean... it is kinda realistic. Most homes I see aren't really pretty anyway. Not everyone has good sense or mones for matching interior but at least they have no green toilets 😅 And I say that liking green. In fact my bedroom wall is pastell green with white fake wood on the lower 3rd of it. Matched with white farmhouse styled furniture and one candy pink dresser, a chandellier, white lace curtains etc... kinda old dollhouse style. Also... we have a 3 story tall house with a basement and 14 windows in total. 4 of them being small ground windows for the basement. That's not even half of the ridiculous amount of windows from that one house. 😬 -Reminds me of my 13-year-old-me building disasters where I would build gigantic blocks with windows everwhere, sometimes even inside the house 🤣
The so-called redneck house is a horrible stereotype got to remember the people that made this game didn't do very much research I mean I'm from the south Louisiana and I was grew up around rednecks cuz I moved to Texas and nobody's house look like this most of them lived in like normal houses nice places with fireplaces and the only time I ever saw camo furniture was at Bass pro shop and nobody ever bought it now they might have camo sheets and clothing
You're right, it seemed like a californian trying to make American country style. My family is rural Canadian, but here the "redneck" culture is in the north, not the south... so most of our country houses have piles and piles of wood to keep warm in the winter. A garage door into the kitchen would be fatal at -30 lol

I love playing Sims 3 and Sims 4 . BUT like HOW other places you CAN get too in Sims 3. Some of the builds other than the color of places are NOT to bad either in builds at least. ✌️👍
I'm consistently bad at guessing your scores 😂 This is a fantastic video - really enjoyed the ride! 👌🏾
I struggled with this one bc I had to give points for ANYTHING I liked haha ... some ugly things are going to get more points this time
After watching your review of moonlight falls, I fell in love with that world and am currently building for my household
I’m glad, it’s got some great houses and some people even play in it without occult’s bc it’s that good haha
I can't with ea and like what's with the columns Not connected to the fences? the car in the basement? marsh mansion, um I think part of the house has been surgically removed.
It's a hot mess 😭 and let's not forget "classy columns" haha
Okay if you drink every time you hear "green" in this video you might actually get into ER, and I'd fully blame EA for that. Sorry you had to go through this for our pleasure 😁
This is only HALF of what twinbrook has to offer. Might take me a week or two to stomach it.
That camo truck is exactly what you find in north western Ontario… aka my neighbour
I’m guessing your area code is 807 or 705 in this case LOL
I cant stop binging on this series… im obbessed
im uploading one right now xo
I'm starting to think the green un everything is because the Sims logo :|
You should also judge the pre-made houses in your library. I used to use them before I knew how to build and now looking a them I feel ashamed that my sims ever lived in them
That's actually where i go digging if im looking for something particularly hideous ;)
The big deck joke 😭😭😭 the versatile joke 😵😵😵☠🤟🙌🙌
Also damn i rarely play in twinbrook but now i have more reason not to 😅 i like playing with premade families but those houses,,,,,,,,,
im glad someone appreciated those... maybe u could play an architect first before u jump into premades
I looooove Twinbrook city and always play there. But the houses are… what you said hahaha. Great for renovating though!
weeeird... I only played this town to dump and view cc abandoned mansions and hospitals, and after watching many of your videos decided to tour the town with tab.
then I immediately searched to see if you reviewed this town.. you did! and I'm laughing a lot (thank you)
is it possible that patterns and colors change for each playthrough? you looked at a house with a secret basement and in my file, the car was a COP car not a sporty looking car.. and some patterns and colors in other houses I swear were different. (I was just there!)
have you experienced this? or dis I somehow download a whole re-painted town?
Bygone Charm is cute come on now… the house really makes sense for an old eccentric mystery writer
i really would love for you to make a beautiful green house (if its possible hahaha)
That sounds harder than when I made a house in alphabetical order haha maybe I’ll give it a shot. It won’t be big, maybe just a starter. I can’t imagine making more than one green bedroom or bathroom lol
What's with EA and green color? Why? Green is a nice color but why EA use it so awful? Is there a joke or message i am not getting?
I must do a mea culpa, because when I build I use as many (if not more) windows as ea
“Last and probably least” 😭😭😭😭
Ugh better luck next episode I guess haha
These are the ugliest houses I've ever seen.
No wonder I never build in Twinbrook.
i agree... but that's the reason i ALWAYS build in twinbrook haha
if your sims end up here, id suggest the architect career :p
@@Rekowcski ♥️♥️ the architect profession; but makes my computer glitchy so much faster.
I always loved decorating homes this will be my favorite expansion even though I do t have it
From one Alberta gay to another, love the videos! Hope you're keeping safe out there lately
Screw that, I moved to Montreal with the UA-cam cheque 😭😭😭😭
But seriously, I'm happy there is another one out there 😂
Can you comment on more than color? Talk more about layout, functionality, suitability for the sims that live there, etc. Like I get that you hate green but there’s so much more you can say than that…
yes, sorry there wasn't much diversity this time, honestly the layouts are decent, nothing ridiculously broken or inconvenient that I saw, but if the second half all look like this i will just skip over the horrible colours.. some of the larger houses are yet to come and those often have problems with floor plans
i would love to see sims 2 houses rated actually!
I plan on doing that x
@@Rekowcski super excited for those videos then! been loving the whole series, keep up the great work! 🤗 thank you for replying!
Twinbrook is hands down my favourite world in TS3, and 99% of my gameplay was in this world.
The whole Twinbrook vibe is like ugly but I like it because it feels real. It's swampy and poor looking and I imagine that nothing has been updated since the late 70s or early80s.
i'm OBSESSED with classy columns, it's so tacky & awful.. 10/10
Whoever designs these houses needs to get out more and discover that there are other colors for exteriors other than shades of yellow 😅
Can you rate the buildings from Isla Paradiso? I believe that it has some potential actually :)
10:32 You say it with such warm 😭
Being a ho isn't necessarily a bad thing 😭
Ugh the puke yellow and green aesthetics of sims 3 proper upsets me 😂
Could you share somewhere your graphics settings? My sims 3 looks so bad 😩
For general sims 3 fixes, optimization and help from friendly people, you can pop by my discord if you want discord.gg/uJp6gtDH
Twinbrook is one of my least favourite worlds😬. It is a bit ugly especially the world or landscape in itself😬
I love the bridges and and the road map so I play in it a lot... but yes. Ugly surprised everywhere.
Ah, Twinbrook...
When I first saw this world, I really loved it but then I saw the houses and ewww... Sunset Valley 2.0
I never played in this world again.
I mean... it is kinda realistic. Most homes I see aren't really pretty anyway. Not everyone has good sense or mones for matching interior but at least they have no green toilets 😅
And I say that liking green.
-Reminds me of my 13-year-old-me building disasters where I would build gigantic blocks with windows everwhere, sometimes even inside the house 🤣
i've been waiting for this one!
Trust me it’s worth the wait lol
I used to love playing in the swamp side of twinbrook dont know why 😂
even flowers grow out of mud sometimes hehe
Y’all think Twinbrook is bad? Then what about Barnacle Bay?
yikes... i haven't even bought that yet, it looks so ugly
Firefighter career is nothing like that LOL, which stinks. XD
I honestly feel like they made it ugly on purpose to support the interior design career
it is very possible... I don't know what to think anymore
Greek Revival looks like a frat house.
I love that I found your content you are hilarious
How would you rate Pheasant Hollow and River Retreat?
I just found these videos. Very entertaining!
Glad you like them x
Unfortunately I have seen camo living room furniture in real life they sell it at Bass pro shop
Ewwww I've been there before 😭 but it was only to get directions on how to get away from there
Bygone Charm was ugly, but it definitely felt like a little old lady lived there. Maybe it was ugly on purpose? Hopefully?
i forget, but if it's in twinbrook it's probably gross regardless
Is there an elixir shop in this world ? I don't see one
I don’t think so, but there’s lots of room in the swamp area to put one down. I think that area is creepy and perfect for an elixir shop
Pleaseee judge the Isla Paradiso houses
it will be on the poll next poll for sure (: ... and I recently downloaded some fixes specifically for the world so It should be a smooth experience
what about pidgin roost?
To me it's the worst neighborhood in The Sims 3 LOL. It looks slumy and has ugly people. 😂😂😂
it's definitely the ugliest, in my opinion ): but i do like the sims and a couple of the build are relentless and fun
please do oasis landing
I love green tbh
Then you’ll adore every bathroom in sunset valley
Please do Isla paradisio
I haaate Twinbrook, it's swampy and just not cute😔
honestly... i have a feeling barnacle bay will be worse
Monte Vista!!
Ok no offense the people who make these have a circle wheel and patterns why is the color choices and patterns this...
I actually love Twinbrook but it's unplayable for me because Isla Paradiso makes the boat stuck in the swamp 🥲
