i'm a year into growing my own mushrooms now Paw, there is SO much I learned from making wine that carries over. Much more than growing plants, believe it or not!
learned to make wine from this man about 5 years ago now, i've since made many wines and meads. he's very knowledgeable and if you pay attention to the steps he gives then it should turn out fine. PawPaw congrats on the nearly 98k subs!
Thanks for the reminder, PawPaw!! I have two bottles of grape juice in the pantry right now with this specific use in mind. Just gotta get it mixed up. Have tried lots of different kinds of juices but so far, I like just good ol' purple grape juice wine the best. I do let the sugar "heap" a little when measuring, though, because I like it a bit sweeter. Appreciate ya, my friend!
Just started my first batch 5 minutes ago. Berry blend. Now it's a waiting game, pretty excited! Thanks paw paw, you remind me of Santa only you bring better presents =)
how many containers did u get? AND... how u likin the ferment aroma? I got me some mango nectar I am doin up... u cant even imagine how gorgeous that aroma is while fermenting... Mango wine... Good Lord. I can hardly wait....
Paw Paw, the Great! It's great to see another wine making video. You started me off years ago 98.1 now You certainly deserve your silver button I hope it's soon ❤️
Made up some mixed berry (3 bottles) and some mango (1 bottle) 3 weeks ago according to your instructions. Going to check on it next week. Oh and for "us" Europeans, a cup of sugar is 200 grams😊❤. Love your wine recipe PawPaw.
Yay, it's done! And it turned out absolutely fantastic. The mixed berry juice wine tastes similar to mulled wine we have for Christmas in Germany. And the mango came out great as well, but mixed with a bit of sparkling water makes a wonderful refreshing drink. Thank you PawPaw! All it takes is to follow your instructions 🙏🙏🙏🥰
Loved this. My dad rip made wine when he retired. Told me to come over and taste it. Dam it was so good I drank half the bottle and got drunk. He said get your ass home and go to bed. ❤❤❤😂😂. Great Video ❤
Thank you PawPaw, I never believed I could make wine, all “wine experts” tend to go insane with the equipment and procedures to scare people off. But today I found the truth, your wine recipe. True wine, nothing will beat that Paw. So I thank you again, blessings 🙏
@@DoingItCheap I've been trying different types of juice and different sugar. A couple I ended up dumping out. I enjoy it though. When I have some more money I'm going to try and make a few really fancy batches.
I just love you and I needed to see this video today. My Momma passed away 10/23/2015..... 9:17am She was Italian and we loved wine. Gonna make so in her honor. Thank you Sir ❤❤❤❤
PawPaw, love your videos, I am headed to ALDIs now to get some juice to be ready for Thanksgiving. I love it cheap and simple. Thank you for enlightening the world with your humor and knowledge.
I made my first batch using grape juice. Followed the recipe not quite exactly, transfered all the juice into a 1 gallon Jug. Melted 2 cups sugar in about 1 qt of water. Added that plus 1/2 tsp of yeast. Net result was a little over 3/4 of gallon. OMG, after 24 days in a constant 70ish degree in my basement, darn good tasting wine in my view. Not to dry or sweet. Pretty good kick to it! Transferred out of the primary fermentation jug into another 1 gallon jug, will bottle in another week or so. First time I ever made wine and the wife said she likes it, and it is strong.
on oct,13th I started 4 gallons of frozen blackberries. i picked last year. and its rolling great this morning . 10/14/2023 YUMMY I USE THE SAME YEAST. works great.
I've used pretty much that same method for years. We used to put what they called a "10 cent" balloon on top for an airlock, but I like using the cap the same as you. New subscriber here.
Hey Pawpaw I just wanted to thank you for starting me on my Winemaking journey. I started with your videos 4 yrs ago and since then I progressed in equipment and knowledge and complexity. But whenever anyone asks "how do you make wine" I send them to your videos and tell em' "this is how I started, it's as easy as this". Wanted to thank you in case this really is your last wine video (tho I hope it isn't). 🍷
