Haha it was great. He should probably be thanking Rees though. Tons of restoration work for Gil's team based upon terrible Rees Jones work in the '80s and '90s
SF Club, Cal Club, Olympic, Lake Merced, Harding Park. All amazing courses all in such a small area. Just down the rode in the Peninsula there are some pretty good ones as well.
Played sfgc the other day with a long time member and asked him about lake Merced while we were standing on the first green, I pointed to it. He was amazed we could so easily see it. He hadn’t noticed. Ha!
I really dislike the fake manipulated bunkers with a zillion fingers and curves. Too many look like gingerbread creations that add nothing to the golf experience.
The way Gil said “Rees Jones had a couple of projects” was hilarious. Awesome video, can’t wait to see it at the event.

Was a member in the 80’s and the course now is a real blast to play!
I fricken love you guys and what you do.
Thanks, Jim!
Fun golf course, especially that NW corner. Thanks for the video

So much looking forward to playing it Monday! Praying for decent weather.
Glad the weather held off!
Should change the name of the channel to "sit down with Gill"
Brilliant work guys, would love for Andy and the team to spend some quality down here in Melbourne.
Where was all this gil content filmed? It’s always the same room but he’s talking about 20 different courses.
So looking forward to Pasatiempo’s transformation
Does it need one?
Looks like a better US Open venue than LACG
could you share where the piano music in this video comes from?
