Hi hat rotation can be a real problem with these, I've just found out. The sensor cable starts rapping around the pull rod.
Can I just go from my cymbal to my drum module
Its not a trigger like your Roland/Yamaha pad... it's a microphone and pressure sensor combination that uses preset EQ and effects to pre-amp a low volume cymbal.... it's closer to a dual-source (piezo bridge and condensor mic) set up on a high end acoustic guitar.
The module is more like running into a guitar effects processor... they aren't "triggering" any samples, just reprocessing a weak signal.
The cymbals rotate (not the pre amp) and if you strike hard for a long enough period of time, the sensor cable will break. That's 35€ each for your pocket, not so great engineering!
Best volume cymbals maybe little bit more noisy than l80
