Thank you for explaining everything about the transmission fluid and not having all that loud music or anything in the background good job.

The reason why many car manufactures seal the transmission is to prevent the owner from using the wrong type of AT fluid. It is a misnomer too think the transmission is sealed. Only the cap on the fill tube is sealed and also has a locking pin to prevent the user from removing it. I recently purchase a used 2002 SLK 320 that had a factory cap installed with the locking pin removed. This told me that the previous owner did check or service the AT at one time. If you purchase an after market transmission fluid for this transmission make sure it meets the manufactures specifications. I recently purchased after market transmission fluid called AT-16 that meets these specification but at half the cost of what Mercedes AT fluid cost. The color of the fluid means nothing because that is just a dye added to increase visibility when doing a visual inspection.

You are absolutely correct I had to purchase same tool when I realized my 2000 ML doesnt have dipstick for transmission. I guess MB puts a computer in charge of this monitoring level of liquid. I trust my eyes better!

yes, computer checks the level, but not the quality....

How to know when the dipstick has to stop? I feel 3 differents steps which give me 3 different levels. I have read that the plastic tip can easily bend...any help?

I like your videos a lot. You explain in great detail.
However my confusion arises because your channel is called Diesel Mercedes. Not sure if your videos are meant only for Diesel engines or gas engines as well. Please clarify. Some others have made the same comment.
    I have a 2005 C240 4matic 4 door sedan gasoline engine.

I like many features of my MB. I do NOT appreciate how they have deliberately made it so difficult to check the oil and transmission fluid. Obviously they do this to support their dealers to force owners to use them at 100 times the cost of maintaining the car ourselves. I owned many care and never seen this. I like to check the oil often and they've made it impossible to do. For this reason alone, I recommend shoppers pass on these.

That fluid isn't necessarily the wrong type.. it could be MB 722.6 approved because some alternative German transmission fluid brands aren't red. Even so, one thing you can try first is to replace the fluid with a good MB approved fluid which is cheaper than the OE fluid. (It will save you money) Then take it for a few drives and go back and drain that fluid. FINALLY replace your recently changed fluid with the OE dealer fluid. That usually gives the system a good cleaning and I have seen this work on a few different cars.

How do I add fluid to 😅transmission
Is it down the tube with the black plug that u used to check the level
There’s another tube in my 2.1 litre diesel engine with a red plug on it. What is that for???
    Thanks so much

Hello can you please advice, i recently cleaned my clk320 transmission valve cover, i have the same dip stick as yours but it reads the opposite, when its cold it reads very high near 80⁰ and when its hot it reads low at 25⁰, should I remove some transmission fluid?

Thank you for this....One question. Am I correct that it must be measured when the engine is hot AND whilst running? I know we used to measure Autos when running, but wasn't sure.

I got to the point where it says engine oil amount on my dash using the truck I showed us. My question is this: the dash says engine oil is that transmission oil or motor oil . If it's motor oil level then how do I check the transmission fluid level on my dash board

    Dont't we have to insert evry gear (N 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ,5 R) fore 1 minute before measurement?
    30$ that's mouch. In Poland 60zł (~16$) , look for replacement
