I have had nothing but jams this summer set me a new auger motor is a REV J but still jams up customer service thanks pallets are old thats why there getting jammed,i don’t think so. Are you still jamming up? Please let me know
There is a welded auger assembly out now. Looks like you got yours just prior to them being sent out. Not sure if you new about it, but it seems better and dosnt have the gasket that peels off.
After I installed the new part it seems to be working as it should. One thing I’ve noticed with the new auger and chute, is when I start it up, it hits temp and then drops about 20 degrees. Then it recovers and holds the selected temp. Once it stabilizes it holds temp through the whole cook. I’m accustomed to my cookers having to stabilize, so it’s not an issue for me. I’m going to keep an eye on it and see if that’s consistent. Just my observation on my cooker. Cheers!
Did you post a video on why you had to replace the auger assembly? Would you post a link to that video? Or perhaps you could simply explain here why you had to. Thanks!
Lynn Stewart The short story is that it stopped hitting 600F and would start to lose temp. You can find that video at ua-cam.com/video/_aovYehOrYo/v-deo.html also there is a playlist for SmokeFire on my channel. Cheers!
lildapp76 I was not hitting 600F and called Weber. I explained the problem and the rep immediately said they would send me a new auger. I had registered the EX6 the day I received it so I assumed they knew the build date but sent me auger assembly. I didn’t know it was a RevF until I opened it. The replacement did correct the problem.
Thanks for the video. I got to replace mine tomorrow. This will help.
Sorry for the delay, I’ve been camping. Did the video help you out?

Chr Ivan Right? It got hot as balls that day! I was sweating my ass off. But that’s what I do. 😀
Nice video. Why did u have to replace the auger? I am having issues with my ex 6 reaching the set temp Weber seems reluctant to send me a new auger.
