I'm so happy the show is finally out. it's been like what? 4 years of waiting ???!!! and i have also gotten obsessed with suki's music last year (even got her video message on spotify wrapped). crying tears of happiness

i love the show so far, only thing I'll say is that i wish they would have made billy's drug abuse more potent because i think it was kinda glossed over as well as his issues with his dad and how that correlates to his issues in being a father, and we NEED more camila girlboss moments like in the book, i can't wait until more episodes come out
I don't feel bad for sympathizing with Billy, you can understand the way he feels and what he's going through without disregarding the damage he was doing to Camila wasn't ok at all

I love watching “with” someone who read the books too since we freaked out at the same parts!! My favorite episode so far is episode 6!!! I love Camila, but Daisy & Billy are so 😭❤️

I have never read the book. But after watching the series and loving it, I think reading the book is a must.

I watched the three episodes straight through and I CANNOT GET ENOUGH. I think they did such a great job!!
i'm still pissed that they dropped the vietnam plot. tjr always inlcudes historical references in her books and them not adding it as well as the riots daisy participated in during her time in the strip felt... strange. like removing the uncomfortable parts of history to make the show a more palatable rockstar tale. i'm enjoying it anyway, but as a book fan i felt robbed of the emotional beat of the band losing chuck.
yeah its a little tragic they lost that plot but i guess they cant include everything :')
@@rxbeccarose yeah, but logically, they would have saved time if they had included Chuck's death. he made an appearance later on, and they could have used that time to talk about the loss of their friend. I think they did it because the audience can't get attached and mourn for somebody who was on only one episode, but I don't think that we need to mourn. seeing the band do so is more than enough, and it adds another layer, and maybe they could have named the band The Six in tribute to him. overall, it's a great show, and they changed a lot of things for the better, such as adding depth to everyone's characters, especially Simone and Camilla.

I wonder why a book, and a movie adaptation, cannot stand on it’s own merits? I read, loved, and was so affected by the book ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’. I thought watching the movie adaptation, even though Mr. Peck stared in it, wouldn’t be the same. I was sooooooo wrong. Even though there were differences, I walked away from the movie equally affected. What I thought impossible, was possible. Both the book, and the movie, stand on their own merits. Though with differences, both the ‘Daisy Jones…’ book, and movie works, in their own way.

Well, to each their own....but I agree lol, I loved the soundtrack and the actors did a great job, though I was so disappointed with a lot of the choices they took, I felt a huge part and message that made the book so special especially with Billy was overcoming your demons and resisting temptations because overall you choose who you want to be and they just threw it all out the window for the drama.
