I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone with more beautiful style than you, Lydia. You just seem like the epitome of class and elegance and ladylike beauty. Love your videos! They're always so helpful and inspiring!
She's young but really everything she highlights can be worn at any age. I'm 65 so I'm not doing miniskirts anymore, 😂 but even the way she styles miniskirts, you can lower the hem to a pencil skirt length [knee length or just above knee] and the "juxtaposition" of the outfit still works.😊
Your Lessons with Lydia always give very useful advice on how to elevate one’s look. Could you do a video which gives advice on how to style problem areas like protruding tums, wide hips, large/ small bust, heavy thighs etc. You have a beautiful silhouette but many of us don’t so some fashion tips on helping to disguise them would be great!
So happy I found you! I'm 84, or I will be in and am totally hooked on fashion . Even more so than when I was younger. Your take on fashion in this vid is very similar to mine. I never leave the house without having an "edgy" item peeking out somewhere....i.e. combat boots with wrap-around dress and black leather vest, ruffled shirt with flare jeans and pointy toe cowboy boots, etc. So fun, and it really takes your personal style up a notch. Thanks for such a great video, Lydia! Would love to see one for us petite ladies.
Ms. Lydia, I’m so happy to have found your channel! I am almost 65 years old and searching for ways to avoid that frumpy, granny style of dress. Love your idea of balancing casual and dressy together - creating a modest and classy look. The effortless, less “try hard” and “contrived” look I’ll give two thumbs up. Looking forward to future videos.😊
First of all, I must say that your hair style is lovely. This video was oh so helpful. I would love to see more of this type of presentation. Thank you for your time and effort.
Your YT Channel is one of my all time faves for styling content. Your videos have given me so much knowledge on creating better outfits that are fit to my proportions, building a closet that’s classic & timeless, and styling what I own. Heck yes to more Lessons with Lydia!
I've always practiced this principle for dressing. If I have a loose top, I pair with fitted bottoms, and also the opposite. Our weather here in the southern US gets very hot so I find myself wearing a lot of sleeveless blouses and cami tops. I pair them with loose trousers and wide leg jeans. Thanks for ALL your suggestions Lydia! I always enjoy your videos. ❤
Lydia, your style is super elegant effortless ,chic & timeless.... Your lessons are excellent, very well explained, and have been very helpful. I'm 60, and you've inspired me to update and improve my wardrobe. Thanks for all your advice!
Lydia, I am so honored and thankful to be apart of your channel here on you tube ❤! I have been watching your videos for a few years now, and I’ve truly learned so much! You educate and encourage us in the most realistic ways in fashion! I love these video you make! The time and the efforts are amazing 🤩 i have a feeling you will have your own Netflix show someday!! Your simply the best !! I am so honored to be apart of this journey with you!! Keep them coming girl!! Press on and know that your work is unique m timeless and classic in every way!! Always elevated!! Best part of my Saturday mornings!! Sipping coffee and watching your videos!! Love from the USA ❤
Love this style of video! You have an amazing eye for style. The rule of juxtaposition in style makes a lot of sense. Please continue Lessons with Lydia, they are so helpful.
I've been doing this for years by accident lol. I prefer an oversized shirt over structured a bottom, a tube maxi skirt etc. It's just the tomboy in me and makes me feel more confident that if I wore a tightly fitted dress etc
…and just that raffia bag in your last clip, so useful ! All the dressing elements and tips are such a great reminder. I follow you on UA-cam for quite some time now and since that first day, dressing became so much easier for me. Thank you for your ongoing inspiration and brilliant reminders. Have a fab weekend and a great coming week ahaid 👏💐💝
A very nice video. I wish that more women in the Midwest would learn how to dress with great style and be classy in their appearance. Much praise to you for your efforts.
Fabulous video, Lydia! Thank you. I made so many screen shots so i can create these outfits myself. I am much older than you but have the same figure so whatever looks good on you, i know will suit me. You taught me to love the baggy jeans and i am so glad!🩷
Dear Lydia, I will forever be incredulous and honestly, simply disgusted by the comments people take the time, effort, and mental power to write. 🤯 I adore and highly respect the creators I choose to follow, but I don’t know how you deal with inane, unkind, and unnecessary (basically) comments. I know it’s part of being confident and courageous enough to put yourself out there, but good God!! You are my most watched stylist and I can’t wait for new videos. I think you know well enough to color your eyebrows AS YOU WISH, the outfits you wear are thoughtfully put together and always CLASSY, and if there is a look or a creator that doesn’t jive with me…it takes 1 NANOSECOND to scroll on by! If this is what people feel they must spend their hearts and mind on at this level in the scope of life, it’s no wonder there is so much hate and resulting turmoil in the world! Anyway, sending love and appreciation- thank you for the hard work and time you put into each of your videos that remarkably, we get to experience for FREE. ❤️
Lydia! These are some of favorite types of videos! So informative! Could you please consider doing a video on looking polished and neat…the details to consider when trying to look extra put together…?
Dear Ms Lydia, I just LOVE that you educate us with your knowledge of taste and experience!!! You explain and show examples; how neat! Visual and clear!! Heavy fabric with light; formal with informal; tight with baggy...how sweet and fun! (and still classy with a twist!!!) I would never have dared...wearing a satin bottom with a knitted top, for example. fitted; fabric and genres....complete! We are set to go an elegant way!!!! You are a fairy-style-teacher to us! Thank you!!! helene :)
Could you make a themed video for outfits for everyday activity? For example what is appropriate for going to work / supermarket / dinner / morning / evening etc...
I live in the California desert and right now it’s in the high 90s. It’s just going to get hotter. Could you do some styling tips for really hot weather? I live near Palm Springs California. I live in Rancho Mirage, California….. hats are a must here so outfits usually look really great. I don’t wear shorts I wear either dresses or skirts.
Thanks to your advisec I can finally put together some items that I would not wear before, and even started liking the modern fashion, that I detested before!
Thank you Lydia for another excellent video. I really appreciate the time and effort that you spend to give us such great advice and guidance. Also, extra appreciation for the blazer with the split sleeves that you’re wearing. It may not be something that I would wear myself, but I love to see you wearing something a bit more unexpected and quirky.
Maybe the next lesson is juxtaposition can be all about fabrics. You briefly touched on this. For instance I like to wear my cashmere v neck sweater with a silk blouse and.. my Levi's jeans 😊.
Thank you so much for your channel! I can’t plan an outfit without looking through your videos!! Once again this is spot on! Thank you from Los Angeles!!
Hello Lydia, could we have, at some point, a video on matching colours with different hair colours? I have dark brown hair with some highlights and the colours that suit blondes will not always suit me of course .. Cheers! :)
Hi Lydia, I'd love to see you try a cooler shade of brown product for your eyebrows, a cool taupe would match your hair and light features so much better! The product you use comes of very warm brown, almost reddish on film - something that would suit a redhead. A more natural colour would be so flattering and work together with your colour season.
Thank you Lydia, I’ve literally just changed my top after watching this video and feel so much better ! When you say mix a smart look with a more undun look, how would you do that for a very formal occasion when you’re wearing a black tie gown ? Or does the rule not apply for black tie events as I wouldn’t know how to give a formal gown a more “undone” look? Or maybe with a more relaxed hairstyle ? Thank you ! X
Agh! I’m looking for that white collarless jacket you have on with the barrel jeans in the last section of the video and I can’t find it anywhere. I love it!
I agree. I really don’t like Mary Jane shoes. One has to have a super slim ankle for them to look even vaguely reasonable but basically, they are a trend led shoe and not at all flattering imo.
🙏🏻Thx sooo much for all your wonderful videos over the years… learned such a lot!💪🏻 Love your white pointed shoes unter „tip #3“, outfit 3. Is there a link for those as well? Greetings from sunny🇨🇭…🤗
Dark on topand med print on bottom bcs I'm big on top and small on bottom... soft nirvana grunge is no sharp accessories UNLESS u want all soft and sharp accessory right?

Melissa Murrell is a great stylist to watch for body shapes.
@melissawilliams3071 I second that, there's nobody better for that sort of advice
looking forward for this content!! 😃😁
@@melissawilliams3071 Thank you.

Please do a series for petites! I’m 5’1 and struggle so much with finding clothes that fit well even after being tailored
Yes please… petites who are not skinny. I have trouble looking less bottom heavy with the lack of height
Yes, 100% agree! 😊
YES👏👏👏👏
@@tasneemmeghji9217Yes!!! I love Lydia’s style but I’m curvy & find a lot of these looks tend to make me look boxy & heavier. 😅
Yes

I’d love a weekly “Lessons with Lydia”, even in a short form. Very helpful when you use examples to illustrate your point!

I would love a video about how to take care of white clothes. They seem to last you a long time.
Oh yes, especially when wearing spf!
Omg yes..
Yes please!
I agree. Anything about taking care clothing because it is a major aspect of looking great
Or self tanner. Even when I let it dry really well it seems to come off on my light colored clothes.
Love the bouclé jacket with the jeans - amazing colors & textures!🤍

This is the camera! It’s something we keep trying to adjust but I think it’s just how this particular camera is which is a bit frustrating!
Love lesson with Lydia. Learned so much from you❤
Was the first to comment, what an honor! 🎉 I love your videos Lydia, greetings from Germany.
