    Nice for practice, but for composing and creativity i don't know. Do they think how we can conect a looper in it and have all the effects just for the guitar we play ? Can we take out all the sound we have programmed and take them out in a daw or i don't know, i use 3 diferents loopers and can i get this sound in and get back and use just the sound modified for the guitar solo ? Do they have a send and return inside ?...
    I think they miss all this part...
    For me we are close to the graal amp but just miss a looper part inside to be really complete. And it's akways the same problem with this amp modeling type.
    Maybe one day they one constructor will took the Rubicon to be really complete. That's what i'm looking for.

      I've got this Nux and Katana Air: IMO Nux easily much better sounding, seems better thought out; doesn't sound like a plastic box (unlike K Air)

    Positive Grid should be flattered, though possibly worried with this clearly Spark-inspired puppy. Nux makes some pretty good desktop practice amps, I have a couple of their Mighty Mite series. Let's see how their community builds up at Nux - that's a huge differentiator for PG within the app.
    EDIT: WAIT. 500USD? Never mind, PG is not worried. My own battery powered, separate wireless guitar system + OG Spark all total came in around 330USD.

    • @TheWarduke1972
      @TheWarduke1972 Рік тому +2

      Yeah but compared to the spark 40 this has the ability to be used as a head AND a built in battery, the wireless transmitter and footswitch it comes with is also very nice touch. I had a spark 40 and currently have the spark mini and that’s one thing I wish the spark 40 had was a speaker out for a cabinet.

      @@TheWarduke1972 Some fair points you make, but....
      My OG pre-order Spark has been running on a Talentcell NB 7102 battery bank for almost 90% of its life. I also have muliple, low to mid priced modern wireless units that I use at home for practice and at small gigs and they function flawlessly.
      My total cost so far with the above, including 2x sets of wireless units: 370USD.
      If I ever wanted to run Spark into a powered cabinet for example I could do it with a summing cable from the headphone out, but I don't ever see any need to turn a desktop practice amp into a main gigging amp. I just use Spark as its core design intended. A 1/8" summing cable would be like 5USD or so.
      You're right, the addition of here of a footswitch would be very useful, but again in my case, I just don't need it. But if I ever did, Airstep has several which are PG approved and I think they are under 75USD?
      So, yes, to be fair, to match 1% the physical features of the Nux here, my Spark might get up to around 450USD, so yes, closer to this one's asking price.
      But things to consider for you: my price includes 2 full sets of wireless, one at 2.4ghz and the other at 5ghz. Also, since the battery on the Nux is internal, at some point it will die and then you will be faced with having to pay to replace it if you can. For my external battery bank Talentcell, I can simply purchase a new compatitible power bank.
      I'm not crapping on the Nux gear as you see from my OP. I'm just commenting on what I think is a slightly overpriced device with a thus far unproven community size for tone sharing. Spark has sold upwards of 300,000 units thus far and climbing. That's a big community.
      Finally, it's pretty much a fact that on the software side of things, PG is a leader in the space. That's their core business, having cut their teeth on BiasFX. Nux cannot say the same.
      Anyway, my 2cents are in. I wish you good luck and enjoy this Nux! My Nux MightyMite, which I also power with a regular spare phone battery bank is a suprisingly good sounding super tiny desktop practice amp. Good luck to Nux on this.... :)
      Cheers man

      Spark doesn't have a footswitch or looper, or wirelesss connectivity. Combined with speaker out NMS kills PG Spark.
      That said, I wonder how modelling and built-in speaker quality compare between Spark and Mighty Space. I heard reports that Spark is bassy and dull, while Spark Mini distorts at high volumes. However, hardly anyone reports on the sound of Nux Mighty Space in the room.

    • @joesatchton212
      @joesatchton212 Рік тому

      @@Andrey.Balandin Please read and compreend my previous post.
      I have NUX products. Not crapping on them, I am crapping on the price for this thing though because you can outfit your Spark with everything except the footswitch for about 350-375USD. Throw in the Spark approved footswitch and you still come in under the NUX asking price. And then you have the deep, top tier experience with software modeling the Positive Grid has and a massive community for tone sharing, with a fairly sophisticated app. The NUX simply cannot match those things, not at this point. Also, the compaitible laptop style battery banks to power the Spark can be easily replaced once the charging cycles wear down and provided that the Spark itself still functions. In the case of the Nux, with built in battery units, sure, totally convenient. Until that battery needs to be replaced. At that point, good luck because if the Nux is still functioning overall, you can't [easily] replace the internal battery.
      As for the "complaints" from people about boomy bass for the Spark. Yes, by default, out of the box, Spark is tuned a bit bass heavy. But this is easily adjusted - Sparky will totally produce glassy, Vox-ish/JC120/Fender style tones. You just need to know how to dial in a tone. Not only that, the front grill cover pops off simply from the 4 small velcro strips on the corner and this reveals the bass port, which you can then just stuff some foam, old socks, old tshirt, whatever.
      Those complaints are almost all coming from people who either are new-ish to modeling amps or amps in general, don't know how to dial in tones at all yet or they have placed Sparky on the floor, all of which will exaggerate the bass bias of Spark. Like the Nux here, Sparky is a DESKTOP PRACTICE AMP.
      I am not claiming Spark is perfect. Nothing on this planet is. But as someone who has owned nearly every single DESKTOP PRACTICE AMP over the last 6-7 years, no question in my mind that, overall, with all things in consideration, Spark is the finest desktop practice amp currently on the market.
      The previous top in this category and still superb are the Yamaha THR series but they have the same problem as this Nux. The PRICE.
      Once you hit 500USD now you're talking serious scratch for most. Suddenly the Boss Katana series and others, which is a full blown, rock band capable, gigging capable thing out of the box makes much more sense.
      my 2cents, YMMV. I wish the Nux well here. Options are always preferable.
      I'm just saying they got a huge uphill battle against the PG Spark series which now numbers global sales over 300K and steadily climbing and has been a massive runaway success...And that this Nux is overpriced.
      cheers
