CORRECTION: We incorrectly stated that the app for the Mighty Air didn't have drums (only a metronome) - this is wrong, I could/should have scrolled where it said Metronome & I'd have seen the drum patterns. There are so many features in these little Nux Amps - Apologies if we missed anything else. Note to self (& everyone!!).... Always Read the Manual!! Cheers all, Lee

I've got the mighty plug, and it's fine for me as a beginner. It's got more than I need, or understand, to be honest. The only thing I wish it was able to do is connect to Bluetooth headphones.

If you connected your headphones through Bluetooth there would be too much delay. Bluetooth 5.0 has a typical delay of 40 msec which would be very noticeable. It would be like being behind one quarter note of a tempo 25 bpm.
I have the MightyPlug Pro and really like the sounds I get with my Shure Aonic 40 headphones. I just wished that the 3.5 mm headphone connector was a bit more sturdy.
I’ve had this headphone amp for a little over 15 months with over 1000 hours of use…

Is it loud enough? I really like the idea of streaming music while playing along wirelessly with a speaker that won't look out of place in a small room. The NUX is awesome but I decided to get the Blackstar id3 V4. Because it fit my project. It has now a 12V Battery, charging port, 2x9V 10A output for pedals and looper, wireless BT in for backing track via phone, wireless input for the axe and 2x USB 3A to load the stuff. Everything without a change to the unit and 100% redoable. I just replaced the grip with a panel where all the sockets are built on. I am 100% happy playing it daily for 1h min. It sounds beautifull and supports my looper and any pedall or number of pedals I like to use which are 1 distortion, 1 tuner, 1 overdrive, 1 reverb, 1 chorus, 1 delay. I use it with my Ibanez S, my SG, my Harley Benton and my Lava ME2. Indoors, outdoors and I'd take it to space travels. I love this freakin' DIY unit to the fullest and can recomend it for outdoor guys with no limits. It looks like factory built and everyone seeing it is full of questions. I think I built the dream 😂
Edit: I have it charged in the middle of the living room. No wires. The charge holds for a week easy at 1h daily, sometimes 2x1h or even more. I thought I'd miss a cabinet out but a) jo and b) if I need BOOOOOMCARAMBA I fire up my Diezel and make it glow 😊

@@Kilo_one_Alpha I do a lot of blues/pentatonic stuff basically stuck in a rut of feeling repetitive or one trick pony type…so I’ve been getting into metal, mostly late 70s-80s hair metal but even the earlier Metallica stuff or Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot etc bc there’s so much amazing guitar work so I got a Charvel SoCal style 2 that was on sale for Black Friday. Bc I saved so much $ from the sale, I ordered the Spark 40, they were suppose to come yesterday but the guitar came sadly the amp has been delayed, says it’ll be here the 29th but I have to say you were right about how much there is to do.
I haven’t even gotten the thing yet but I downloaded the app that you use to control the amp (I’m like a kid excited to play his new video game but reading the manual in the car in the way home)
All of the amp models and effects is perfect for me, bc I love to sit there and mess around with diff effects and reordering the chain, it’s taught me a lot about that side of things.
The backing track feature looks like something I will do so much, sometimes the motivation to practice isn’t there, and having to go sit in a specific chair/room and lug my big amp out and fumble with cables and my Fender amp has problems connecting to Bluetooth on my phone so I have to restart it, and cables and all that not to mention it’s hard to sound good at bedroom volume with those big amps, so I feel like this spark 40 is perfect like you said last week, thanks for the recommendation

I have had the Mighty Space for a couple of months now, and find the amp sims and overdrives pretty underwhelming so far.
It could be me, though - it seems ok with an amp modeler (eg HX Stomp) into the Aux In. I'll keep working on it .....
Update: I finally got close to the tone I was looking for, but a lot of effort. It may be just me, but all the OD's seem the same, the only difference being gain = not much variation in color; same is true for amps.... But the form factor is great, and since I eventually did find a tone that works for me, I'll be keeping it.

Hey all, check out Dave Simpson’s demo videos of the Mighty Air (I think he did two). He really gets into the nitty gritty of getting some good sounds out of the little amp. Very helpful.
Also, I actually have a Mighty Air and, I agree, it sounds (to me) much too small and thin by itself. But I’ve had a lot of success plugging it into both a Bose Soundlink Mini and ta Blackstar Fly (with its extension speaker). Both made a ton of difference and sound great. So if you’ve got a spare Bluetooth speaker laying about (and who doesn’t?) give it a try. The basic guts of the little amp sound wonderful. It just needs a little help in the speaker department.

Great video, thanks. A few questions:
Does the Mighty Space looper quantise to the drums?
How does the Mighty Space sound at genuinely low volumes? Is the Mighty Lite better at low volume, or is too thin?
Conversely, how does the Mighty Space sound turned up , without going out to a PA?
How do these compare to the Mighty 8BT and similar amps? Same functionality, just difference look to the box?
How do they sound with a bass?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Considering this and the thr30ii. Which one has better fender and clean / break up tone ? Are the speakers on this better than the thr ? What about the Katana air? I already have a katana mini and like it but want something portable but bigger and louder. Plan to use a strat and a tele. Don't care too much about wireless or external cab functionality etc. Looper is a bonus but I've heard you can use the aux in on the thr too get looper functionality. Please help !

Love these but I teach bass too so the Spark (I have the big one) still wins. Not tried it live with guitar but I used it with bass in a musical and it filled a room.
However, these look really fun and the modelling is next level. The drums are great and Spark have never given us a looper like that. The app is not as pretty as the Spark but seems to do more. A wireless would be nice ina crowded practice room...

Actually, both the Mighty Space and even the Mighty Air are supposed to be usable with a bass. I’m not sure about the other one. They probably sound like crap, but that’s the way they are advertised. 🤷‍♂️

      @Andrey.Balandin Рік тому +1

Mighty space is perfectly usable with bass. There's a 10 band EQ for the overall speaker sound and individually for each channel as well that you have to mess with to get good frequency response for your bass but it's totally doable.

The NUX Mighty BT is light years better in gain tones than the Blackstar Fly. Didn't even consider the Fly after playing one. I have the Mighty BT and the Mighty air. The Mighty Air does 'fart out' when "bluetoothing" drum tracks into it, it can't handle the added bass, the Mighty BT does not do this as Bad. The Spark Mini and the tiny GO do not fart out at all. So I can only use the Mighty internal/app drums, so I now travel with a Spark Mini or Go

So which of these small amps do you like the most? Do you noticed a hiss sound after playing notes with a clean sound and no noise gate nor any other effect on the chain while using the spark mini?

Good stuff I suppose but guitarists need to grow extra arms to use flipping apps, ok great when it is all set up but if you are on your own then good luck playing and setting your tones at the same time, guess thats where the looper comes in handy.
