I like the sound of your bass. I like the clarity and strength with which each note sounds, no consistency is lost. Great feeling and excellent execution. Mortal. Successes
Cesar Augusto Oh my god I appreciate that so much! My playing was definitely nowhere near perfect but I really appreciate your kind words ❤️ regardless this tune is one of the most fun to play
this is one of the cleanest covers Ive seen for this cover. each note was incredibly clear and precise. hats off to you. "well done" doesn't even scratch the surface of how good this is.
I could never figure out what he did during the second run of his soloing. If you're not right, you're darn close!!! You're one of my new favorite bass players. Thank you for sharing your talents.
WHY HAS THIS VIDEO NOT BLOWN UP YET?!?! Absolutely my favorite cover yet!!!! You make that riff look so casual but it's so precise!!! keep up the great work!
You made that look so easy. Just sitting the chillin, like it took no effort at all to knock that song out of the park. You are phenomenally talented. I hope you are in a band because any band would be blessed to have your kind of talent among them. I'm blown away.
wow oh my lord thank you so much. you just made my week honestly. thank you so so much for your encouraging words. i am not in a band but i have some exciting announcements in regards to my involvement with a band so keep your eye out ;)
@@AushaMusic well, I am a guitar player myself, so I know how frustrating it can be to spend time on a scale and just get so grrrrr, because you almost have it down. But that's what's so fun and motivating about playing. You have a gift hun. I would be honored to jam with you.
The nose ring...the hair... the makeup. This is the most glamorous cover of YYZ on the net. And that's to say nothing of the accuracy! Most covers will also be doing Geddy's effects and tone on the piece but I actually adore that you didn't and it made every single note so much sharper and really shows you committed yourself to mastering it. Amazing!
I used to slow a reel to reel tape recorder down to half speed to try and figure out runs. I did that with The Spirit of Radio and that's how I figured out the run, except Geddy Lee's notes were too low and unintelligible, so I had to go by what Alex was playing to figure it out.
ƑƦeaƙøϜυʀѰ Its definitely a pain but it’s a lot of fun. My biggest tip would be to learn it in sections. Master that section before moving on to the next etc
I look at your right hand and think, "Okay. I can do that. I know how to use my fingers to get more notes in each beat." Then I look at your left hand and just throw my hands in the air. I have been playing bass off and on for years and still haven't managed to develop the speed and dexterity needed to make them fly across the frets like that. Hats off to you and your skill and training.
Jared M Actually considering the song as a whole, a lot of the work is being driven from the right hand. The raking makes it look like it’s not much but keeping it up and to speed almost nonstop for the whole song is where it gets strenuous. The left hand is pretty consistently at a like difficult level but definitely those runs were such big pains in the ass, but there’s only a handful of them so during the riffs in between you get like a little resting period for your hand kind of. If that makes any sense.
@@AushaMusic I probably have a few more weeks of muscle memory and practice to get my speed up enough to play it at tempo, but at least I have inspiration now!
I'm surprised how clean this is especially because the bass is so.. not geddy sounding.. lol but! This was clean as hell, you really know how to pluck them strings!
I haven't picked up a bass in years, and every time I tried to play this it just sounded like muddy garbage. (And it wasn't the instrument, it was because I sucked.) This is so clean.
Great job! You know good music. Tool 👁 and Rush 🍁 2 best bands on the planet. Both difficult bands to cover. Love the look, love the vids, love the performances, love the music. Really awesome stuff. Cheers!
Invincible Warrior tool and rush were huuuuuge in my shaping as a musician when I was first starting so their music has always been very meaningful to me! They really are legendary bands. But I’ve been thinking of doing something from another pillar in music.... here’s a hint: what’s the opposite of NO?
@@AushaMusic Lol, so you'll be covering some Yes 😆. Awesome! Another great band. And it doesn't surprise me Tool and Rush helped shape you. You need to be damn good to cover them and it's obvious you can play that bass. Tool has ruined other music for me to be honest lol. It just brings me to a whole other place that I can't get to with other bands. Dunno what I'm going to do when they decide to stop playing music 😢. Anyways, great virtually meeting you. Keep rocking that bass. And thanks for uploading your stuff on UA-cam so we can watch you shred 🔥 🤘 👁 🎸 🥁 🎧 🎶
You might be interested in some Gentle Giant. I think I could recommend "The Runaway" or "In a Glass House" or "Experience," all of which are from the "In a Glass House" album. They have interesting bass parts.
WTF only 5k subscribers??? I'll never understand UA-cam. Amazing talent like this get gets hardly any attention but some dumb vlog will get 10s of millions. I just don't get it.
Daniel Watson it’s gon be a min but thank you so much for the support! The first hint to an album will be a single/music video on this channel keep an eye out
That was one of the cleanest covers I've seen. Nice!!!
DAMN!!! Nice job!!! Geddy would be proud...
Easily in the top 3 best YYZ bass covers on UA-cam. Every part was spot on. Phenomenal work!😀😀

I take that as a huge complement thank you so much!
Very clear. Well done young lady!
Outstanding job. Perfect.
JESUS christ this has to be some of the cleanest 16th notes I've ever heard on bass in my entire life way to go!
The sideways head wiggle made me smile every time. 😄 I may have to incorporate it into my playing.
Funny observation, that caught my attention too.
WHAT?? Insane. tone, timing, insane

I could never figure out what he did during the second run of his soloing. If you're not right, you're darn close!!! You're one of my new favorite bass players. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Love the clean sound. The cover clearly lacks the aggressiveness of the original track, but makes up for it with a cool kind of chill groove.
Best cover bassist on UA-cam fs. Keep it up homie
Wow it's really obvious how much hard work you put into polishing it up, very impressive.
Absolutely FIREEEEE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Great to hear the World's Youth carrying the Torch for great Prog Bands.

Great job. So many of the others hide behind the track.
Ausha, you should cover Solar by Inner Wave! It has such a dope bass line, I think you would love it

After a few comments saying I look fat this was really refreshing lol thank you! Lol!
Holy fuck. How you make all the notes sound so individual like that?
I think you should break down songs and give us follow bass players lessons. I bet you would be a great teacher.
Menina como você é linda !!!! E esses olhos , meu Deus que lindos

obrigado!

Something sounds...off I can’t place my finger on it. The playing is obviously fantastic but it sounds slower somehow I’m not sure
What kind of bass is that?
