@@BestCarFixes my 2003 Chevy Express 1500 4.3 runs great . I got a ECM out of a wreck same year same engine as a spare. I tried to start it on spare junk yard ECM it ran for a second then shut off.
Runs perfect on original 400,000 Mile original. Do I have to down load data re flash spare ?
      Thanks 👍

My 99 chevy express 5.7..the pcm went bad..a dealership wanted $1,200..I bought a plug and play from a parts store..30 min program..10mins on, turn off back on..total 30 mins..van started right up..driving everyday..

It's great to hear that you were able to replace the faulty PCM on your 99 Chevy Express 5.7 with a plug-and-play unit from a parts store and that your van is running smoothly again! It's not uncommon for dealerships to charge high prices for parts and labor, so it's always a good idea to shop around and explore alternative options like purchasing the part yourself and installing it with the help of instructional videos or guides.
It's important to note that when replacing the PCM, it may need to be programmed to match the specific vehicle's settings, which is likely what you did in your case with the 30-minute program. It's also recommended to ensure that the replacement PCM is of the same or higher quality than the original, as a lower-quality unit may fail prematurely and cause issues down the road.
Overall, it's great to hear that your van is running smoothly again and that you were able to save a significant amount of money by going with an alternative option for the replacement PCM.

What a hack, how many times you open up the customer door hitting it on the steel rail ? If you was at my shop you would be tossed out so fast

@Best Car Fixes I treat my customers vehicles as they are my own or family, every little thing you do to help a customer makes them remember you next time they need something repaired
