There is some great stuff on youtube including this channel! Thumbs up for Keith's channel. I miss him. He is a walking automotive electrical issues encyclopaedia! It's great you remembered him doing this same type of van. I remember that video as well! Great diag and repair, Azael.
There’s some videos I have locked into my brain and most of Keith’s are. Thanks for stopping by
@@OzMechanics He had some many amazing fixes. Hope it saved you a bit of time recalling his video. You too are great at your job. I enjoy watching the jobs you run across. Stay safe & well!
When I see frayed wires I am happy. Means components are likely good.
Thank you Keith
Brilliant diagnosis! I appreciate the free learning experience you offered all of us!
Oz as soon as put power to the module Keith's video came to my mind.
Love it! Pretty cool when you find an issue like this that nobody else has...and wiring faults can definitely screw up a lot of techs.
I love it when a plan comes together!
Awesome work!!!
Nice work, nice tool, as a tool junkie I have decided to get one of my own!!!
You are one of the best Oz! I love your walk through diagnosis. You really understand these systems. Thanks again for the videos.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching Ray. Happy holidays as well
Awesome job! One of your best video yet!
Great Video! Visual Inspections are often not mentioned and under utilized. Thanks again.
Excellent tutorial.
Thanks Borg glad you enjoyed the video
Solid video Oz! THanks for sharing! I cant remember watching Keiths video so I mustve missed that one. Thanks for sharing brother!
you are the man! I've never heard about a pin which enables comm (12 V) every day learn something new.... Thanks bro!!!
While the topdon is superb I'd prefer Ozzie's brain power and the memory dept ain't bad either. Nice fix and Mitchell comes in handy.
Awesome job 👍
Nice diagnosis and repair! So many shops just don’t want to invest the time or do not have the knowledge to properly diagnose these issues usually they start throwing parts at it.
Thanks John. Yea, with the ongoing changes with vehicles nowadays you mechanics have to stay on top of the game. Training is key
For mine it is the connection all you have to do is go under your driver front mid... get that clamp on there good and all good. Iff not you got a problem with the module.
I have no communication on abs module 2006 Sierra Denali. Power and ground are good. I will check wake up light blue wire for power signal. I think there is a junction under drivers side frame rail. Great video.
Tengo el mismo problema..mañana veré el problema..buen video..pensaba que era transmisión
That is great info on finding the problem with the analyzer. One thing I learned a long time ago when you have an electrical problem is to do a thorough visual inspection. I have found numerous electrical issues because of squirrel or mice damage.
Normally I see that happen in wooded areas or really cold places where mice and squirrels can bundle up and bite them wires
Good thing there going to soy wrapped wires..NOT!
Awesome video, I GOT A 06 CHEVY EXPRESS WITH SOME PROBLEMS TOO, THANK YOU!!!
Awesome. Hey thanks for watching Cheppetto hope you get your van fixed
Thank you this is a really good video
Merry Christmas Oz to you and your family!!! Awesome job!!!
Thanks for watching Roxanne hope all is well with you and your family
Love this video thank u please continue to share your knowledge

Thanks brother.
Thanks for watching Luis. Happy holidays

Good work.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the video
Great video , well explained, good job , thanks
Excellent video Oz. One thing that I would like to point out is connecting the jumper wire directly to battery positive is risky. I would have put in between a small incandescent light or a small fuse, just for protection. What if the ABS module had an internal short. And the BCM wire shorted out and blew? I once put a 12 volt without a fuse directly to a module, and it had a short inside the module. And it melted the ground supply wire. Lesson learned. Hope my advice helps someone.
That is true.
nice work tks

Brilliant. I'm off to be hunting bad wiring now.
That's crazy, nice job! 🙏
Thanks for stopping by Steven
Awesome diagnosis! 👍
Glad you enjoyed this video Angel. Want to really see something fun check out this camaro series. This was one of my craziest videos I’ve made. It’s a 2 part series Chevrolet Camaro No Crank No Start

Wow, awesome video, I was literally excited watching this! Haha. Well done.
awesome video, learned about data turn on wire!!!
Thanks for watching Mike. Yea always learning everyday with growing advancement on todays vehicles
Great job Oz, wishing you and your family a wonderful Holiday Season.
Likewise porky. Thanks for stopping by
A big thumbs up for you ,that was amazing ,good on you .

Thanks for stopping by Billy hope all is well with the family
All I want for Christmas is a Topdon Phoenix, Oz. lol Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Santa clause is listing
@@OzMechanics 🤣🤣 I've been a very good boy. lol
You know what I find strange? You can't buy topdon Phoenix max on Amazon. Weird.... awesome video Oz
0z did it again.
Thanks for watching NST !!
Need to get your buddy Eric from advanced level auto to upload part 2 of his fiat video it was a good one
About thattt. He’ll post it soon. Ram into a lot of hiccups
Since the wake up signal is a low current 12v, you can just jump power from a feed wire at the abs module thru your test light bulb instead of running that huge jumper lead. Great job and good find! 👍
I was excited to show off my 10ft jumper. :)
Fair enough my friend. Hope you and your family have an awesome Xmas
Like wise. And I forgot to put thanks for watching.
I'm older I can't tell you how many opportunities I've had with frayed wires. I mean people having their cars towed away to the junkyard when it was just a shorted or disconnected wire.
Good stuff, I subscribed to your channel today. Happy holidays by the way. I hope you are staying warm Or I should say you and your family.
Thanks for watching John. Glad you subscribed to the channel and enjoyed the video. Feel free to check out one of my favorite videos. It’s a 2 part series on the camaro here’s the link

I have a 2014 Chevy Express van, I think I'll check that bundle of wires to see if it's rubbing.... BTW, after you repaired the wires, it might be wise to wrap the wires with some foam so they don't wear through again.
Thanks for watching Michael. That be wise.
OZ, great stuff and awesome thought process and approach MERRY CHRISTMASS to u and family and thanks for sharing ur knowledge. cheeeeeeers from Ont, CANADA
Thanks for stopping by. If you want to watch a fun one. Check out the camaro series I have. That one was really fun
I have the same van…but my wires were fine in those areas
Data enable line, that's the first time I here about that. The engineers have thought of all kinds of crap.
Pretty cool stuff there. Hope you enjoyed the video
LOL! I just fixed my Silverado and it was the same problem - MOUSE CHEWS! Don't forget to armor up that cable after taping it. Why does cable taste so good to field mice? They seem to go after the cam sensor wires too.
They actually have a special tape for mouses. I think Eric o made a video about that. Btw thanks for watching
Trying to find where ground wire is from the engine to the chassis in our chevy express 2500 2016? I can see the red going to the fuse box under the drivers seat, but I can't seem to find the black ground wire.
Excellent content I just subscribed. I’m trying to figure out why my blower motor has no power coming from the resistor and all the fuses are good ?
Same nightmare with my 2013 Chevrolet express LT 2500 it's terrible
exselete dianosti master mui bueno men
Perfect video! do you have the link for the Topdon tool you are using in the video? thanks!!
They sell them on www.topdon.us
It’s an amazing tool, highly recommend
Good Brother Oz! I am one of your many faithful subscribers. I am learning to work on my vehicles from you. Thank you for your cool professionalism! I am not sure if you can help me, but I want to ask about my 2012 Chrysler 300 Limited 3.6L. I am having over heating problems. I have changed the Thermostat; no fix. I have replaced the the oil filter housing; no fix. I am thinking it may be the water pump, but I don’t know how to test it. Do you know of a simple way to test my water pump. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Thank you again. Doug
Another one saved from the crusher. Nice work. Unfixable or unable to fix? Haha.
Thanks for watching Bryce. Well it’s not the first time I heard unfixable lol
I've had nothing but electrical problems with all my Chevy vans from the '90s on up. Bad Fuel pumps. Rusty brake lines breaking. Ground wire shorting out. When it rained the door locks would flip up and down.
My last three vehicles were suburbans Yukon and now my battery goes dead after 14 hours I've had two mechanics look at it. Whatever you do try not to switch the radio with a junkyard radio even if it's the same year because GM purposely made these radios to not work right when you swap them. I had to open the bottom of the radio and pull out a chip and I still cannot get the radio to work properly also the door chime is five times louder than it used to be so I had to open the speaker wires in the door hinge area and cut the tan wire to stop the chiming.
350k miles on 2003 only minor problem s cheap easy to fix .
Had a few last one went 410k
I’m running a ‘13 express 2500 4.8l, 175,000mi and it runs like a top but I do have random electrical problems and it tends to run a bit rich. I ran a ‘07 express until 419,000mi before a major failure and have been using it as a parts truck since I parked it
There's a dividing line between the guys who are willing to go under a vehicle and those who are lazy and don't want to go under the car.
l have a 2009 Chevy Express 2500. Any suggestions for headlights that won’t turn off when the van is off? I need help please any idea what’s going on
Diagnose Dan is a magician
DD is a legend in the game. Mad respects towards him
Oz do you take Endurance warranty or car Shield
That looked like something was chewing on it, not rubbing on anything. Did you verify and insulate all the individual wires before taping it up?
Ray P below said it best.
Having a very similar problem with my 2011 gmc savana 1500. In the same exact spot, my wires look like they’ve been chewed by rats. But none of the wires are exposed. I don’t have communication to my TCM Or fuel pump control module
While looking at the wiring diagram for this savana. In the linier communication it goes from the ebcm to fuel pump module to tcm. So if your ebcm is communicating your issue is going to be right after the ebcm. If you have a scope I would look at the data lines at the fuel pump control module
Great job Oz... I love ur videos man
Was the Transmission issur resolved as well after this repair? Or that's a separate issue?
Yes. The customer has been driving the van for 2 weeks now. He will be coming back after Christmas to see if it thru any other codes
@@OzMechanics glad to hear that
I haven't had luck finding torque specs for changing my pads and rotors, would you happen to know? It's the same van.
Great tool. Great find. Were the wires chewed through by animals? Is the wire insulation soybean-based?
this is why I dislike new age vehicles. 1 wire can break and then its a dice roll that you can still start it and drive. Why cant we just go back to old cars where you just dump gas down the carb and hook up the battery to the distributor and your off
Because they won't pass emissions standards.
Where are you located? I think I have the same problem. Lost communication with transmission control module, lost communication with body control module.
The Sherlock Holmes of auto repair. 👍 👍 👍
Thanks for stopping by and watching Peter
I actually am a marine corps combat veteran as a mechanic, I went to Rosedale tech where I meet and was indoctrinated by Scanner Danner himself stopped on your vid to solve an issue I'm having with a school bus code U0140
Hey where are u located I need a mechanic to fix my truck 2007 f150 with p0340 and p0355 code I think it’s a wiring problem
Where are you located
The difference between a great auto tech is he will do the work necessary to win the battle your knowledge and willingness to defeat the problem is what makes you one of the top contenders those other guys are just wannabes. Great job
Thanks for the kind words Hilario. Want to watch some real fun videos ?? Check out my Camaro series videos.
Sounds like a bad fuse box bro or the computer not working pretty much a bad fuse box a bad body control module something to do with power you hear the key start to chim it's the orange wire maybe has a fusible link
Which state are you in?
Im in Texas Paul
Have an older express that will just quit running when driving or all sudden after driving fine than go to start and won't until next day, have replaced fuel pump but still happens and no errors come up when scanned ,anyone have this issue, help
Nice work, I have a car with some electrical issues. Do you know of anybody in the Little Rock Arkansas area That can help me out?
I have a friend in Arkansas
it is good when you can benefit from someone elses videos. nobody can know about everything
And I’m hoping others can benefit out of this one
True true but a lot of people can pretend like they do and some people actually do
That damaged wiring is in a very suspicious area and looks extremely suspicious. I would say you're not the first person to be in there. Maybe you found this and then put it on video afterwards?
I own a van 2010 and a squirrel built a nest inside engine compartment next to trasmisión module and cut all wires was a nightmare bcz cut like 300 little wires 😵💫🥵
I have a 2016 van that has an issue and no one knows what the problem is 😔
What No test drive
Can any “mechanics” just fix vehicles anymore without testing gadgets? Makes me love old vehicles even more where mechanics fixed mechanical vehicles not technology vehicles sad.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌷

Do we really need all this crap on an automobile the cars in the sixties and seventies were good-looking cars ran great and didn't have all this electronic computer crap on it to bleed your wallet I wonder how much that little fix cost
With all these advancements in the automotive vehicles we can get up to 30-50 miles per gallon and as well have safer vehicles. I’m excited about the future of the automotive industry
You didn’t need any knowledge or equiptment for this repair.
