CHRIS, I want to update everyone watching this video about my install, I finally got my big bore, definitely need two people for this project, I found it easier to remove the battery and remove the coolant hose out of the way. With 2 people took 15 minutes to install, 30 minutes installing everything back together. Car sounds and feels better.

Great video. Wish you had talked more about back/bottom bolt on the turbo inlet. That one definitely gave me far more problems than the front one ever did.
I just got mine, it took me 30 minutes it is super easy to take out your battery if you take out your car battery you have a lot more room to move the brake pump and wedge yourself a lot better
I would have been paranoid as hell I was going to drop that second screw 😳😂 looks like the firtst screw is pretty easy and the pain in the ass part is all the second screw. Appreciate the video man, i’ve been on the fence about getting this, but think im going to go ahead and order it now.
Trust, I spared y'all . I dropped that second screw ( well the tools/tips/socket ) 4 times. I had to edit it out. I was PISSED. Definitely order it, it's an affordable mod that is fun and might teach you a thing or two. I am glad I did.
@@MK6CHRIS it went terrible, I have a boost leak somewhere now 🤦🏻♂️ I had to abort the whole thing unfortunately due to my hands and arms being just too big to even come close to doing this without a lift. Everything went fine until it came time to remove the first inlet screw. I just could not get it no matter what and I even bought all the recommended attachments from ECS site along with the inlet. Not even sure what to do now, all I know is im beat and the car runs for now, tomrrows another day 😴

sound clips are delayed for a day or 2. My pvc / vacuum line keeps blowing off. So I have no boost. If I try to get over 7psi, it just comes off. I'll fix it tomorrow morning. Hopefully
I've actually been thinking about those, it would make it so much easier. My only concern is that I am getting a carbon fiber hood sometime this year and I am not sure if that would be ok

@@MK6CHRIS Thanks for the reply! I thought the EA211 engine is parts interchangeable such as the EA888 MQB engine. I can't seem to find out the answer as ecs tuning has only the option for the golf 1.8 and not 1.4. I guess I'll never found out the answer anytime soon.

The thing is , the hot/cold side of the turbo ( meaning the turbo inlet ) is different in certain models for spacer purposes and other stuff. For example the new mk7 1.4T ea211 is the same exact engine but they use a different lay out
I know this a little late on this video, but I have a 2016 1.4 tsi jetta currently have stage 1 apr 93 ecu tune with cai and muffler/ res delete. Consider doing more work to it but I don’t know if I can truly get more power out of it. You’re video is making me want to try this.
Hey good luck. But please understand, these motors are tiny and just meant to be a super fuel efficient fun daily. So there isn't too much more you can do without breaking the bank to get power.
I’m thinking about getting this for my Jetta. This may be a dumb question, but did you have to get a retune after install? I know sometimes adding things to the turbo can trip sensors
@@MK6CHRIS i was sure u guys use RON. in Denmark we have octane 95 , 98 and 100. we had 92. but is removed for 10 years now. and they put 10% ethanol in all our fuel except 100 octane. which is called like V power on shell Petrol stations.
@@MK6CHRIS its the tube that i believe is connected to the turbo inlet, ive seen some people delete it. it splits and goes to the charge pipe and somewhere else too. i have no clue what it is
@@49er3000 I am actually not sure what it does. Some say it the "PCV" diverter hose. Others say it does absolutely nothing. Some say it's meant to stabilize pressure when you let off. I can contact my friend at Volkswagen n see.

Congratulations on the new car! Well , there is no right or wrong way to start. You can start with a resonator delete or go buy an exhaust to start. Or maybe an intake . You have so many options . I can help, if you have questions

@@03jedi I have a “ is it worth it “ video. If you want to check . However , it’s up to you! I enjoy modding this car but I accepted that it’s still a 1.4. Plus the newer 1.8 aren’t that quick . The GLI is the cream of the crop for jettas so there’s that . But I think It’s worth it. This is my hobby

@@MK6CHRIS I literally have just about every performance mod for my car at this point: CTS Turbo intake, JB4, blow off valve, short throw shifter, and weighted shift knob. Not much left to do in warranty land besides exhaust, rims, tint, and a few other things.

Pretty close. You just unbolt the other side and disconnect the wiring and yeah , done

Yea I noticed when ordering they were calling it a pcv hose. Not sure why. Pcv is the large hose just in front of the turbo inlet pipe

Sooner or later. They have a different layout turbo hot/cold side. An intake will do you some good for now
