I have had nothing but great success with these fences. I've used them in several places. There is nothing cruel about them! Being able to go outside on their own is awesome, And grandma just cant afford a conventional fence. These things are the most humane way of containing my dog.

Is it best to bury about 4 feet from the curb as you did? I want the dog to get the best range…

can I just attach it to a metal fence when using the version for cats instead of burying it?

Impossible to reliably train your dog to stay inside these "fences". Eventually they will - when outside stimulation overhelms them. Also other animals are free to enter the area!

When she says "radio signal" is this actually broadcasting on a frequency or is it being incorrectly used to refer to a magnetic field which is generated by current through a conductor?

    • @wadspo7155

I believe it's an AM frequency. Can be found in the owners manual and should hear beeping with a radio, I believe.

what are you going to do next??? fit them to your kids? because thats the next step I think this is cruel there are other ways to train animals. Cats are free to roam and dogs can be kept on a ong lead or fenced in with a normal fence or even trained without electricity!

I get your point. Take my british short hair for example. He was killed by a car because he does not have the instinct of fear. He approached the car like a playmate. I still want to enable his sister to get outside. Do you have a better suggestion?

@@phillipberger7577 fences?? it depends on where you live. i know this stuff can train an animal but id rather not do it this way. of course if you do not have any other way you could do it this way. but for me this would have to be a last resort. i'd rather not give my pet any pain and what if they get a shock and jump across where the wires are placed? if a dog ran full speed i am quite sure it would run right through this electric setup very quickly. sorry about your dog. i reckon if your dog had wanted to chase a cat he would have flew fast over this electric contraption! a fence imo is better or even some kind of pen.

$150 underground containment that takes 1hr to setup compared to a $10,000 dollar fence that will take 5-7 business days to complete I think I’m going with the shock collar my kids learn with a hickory stick where they can and can’t go that didn’t work on the dog so this is my plan B
