Getting ready to install an E Fence in about a month and am so glad that this was the first video I watched for our 3 acres! I would have never known about the wire install. It looks too easy!
You did an awesome job at explaining everything and showing different options for installation. Thank you so much for taking the time to help out others by providing this valuable information!!!
Thank you for your video! We used a different brand but your video was very helpful for us on several things. We did use an edger covering about 1/2 acre and through the woods hand digging. Saved 4,000 dollars compared to quote for our install. Worth our time to do it. Now for the training! All the best to yall
@@moabbas5525 Howdy and good morning. Still up and running, it was an easy installation, and I even messaged the lil chat bot when I ordered mine from yhe website and got a discount code too. I'd definitely buy it again if I ever sell my home.
I’m doing my research before getting used one from someone. So at the end when ur connecting the box u mean the twisted boundary lines are what u connect to the box right cause the original boundary is in the ground right
Great DIY video. makes me think we can do this. we are going to install around 7 acres, 2400 linear feet. Will the wire be on one spool or will I have to splice the 500' wire and 2000' wire that I will add to the original kit?
Typically You choose the size you need and they send a wire long enough. I got 1 continuous 1500ft wire. But with 7 acres I wouldn't be surprised if you had to spice a section.
i see a ground wire attached to the box, instructions show a ground wire in the photo but do not mention a ground wire and one was not included in the kit. does it need a ground wire?
@Thy_Buckets the twisted wire goes from each side of the barrier wire to the power box. The ground wire goes to any grounded source, I grounded mine to the outlets ground wire.
@moabbas5525 holding up well! I did eventually switch to the "Stubborn dog collar" which works with the same system but is little more persuasive for big dogs that like to run full speed through the bariar every now and then lol
Where do you install ground rod ? Do you suggest something in front main unit in case lighting strikes to take the hit instead of blowing out main control unit ?
Hello, I have a question for you. I installed a loop of 16 gauge wire about 350 feet across part of my land. I would like to install another loop in another part of the field but since I no longer have enough 16 gauge wire can I use the wire that came with the kit purchased which is 20 gauge. The new loop will have approximately 200 to 250 feet in length and both loops would be linked together and operated on the same transmitter. Thanks in advance for your help and reply,
Yea but smaller gauge wire or higher number I should say has less ohms so it could affect the zone radius of both loops.(1-2ft of zone instead of 4-5ft)
Hey, We are ONWOTE, a manufacturer of PoE and Wireless Security Camera Systems. Do you plan to install a security camera to protect the safety around you? Now, we are looking for partners to install and review our camera system, so any chance for us? I had emailed you the details of the sponsorship. Hope can get your reply and move forward!
@chrisdoyal9798 lol good luck finding one that's not....just do what we do and order in bulk. Also if you look at the battery, it's just a stack of watch batteries wrapped together...so you could likely cut the plastic off and find out what batteries are inside and just buy those and stack them. (Not recommended of course but it would probably work if it really bothers you that much)

I appreciate you sharing this, helps us all amd saves us time.
So Glad I saw this video. You are a great teacher 👊🏻🙏
Where did you find d that exact waterproof box for mounting outside?
Thanks for sharing this video bud. About to start installing mine on 3 acres.
Great job, loved when smarter you realized there was a better way😂
Can you use the easy trench cable installer on a gravel driveway?
Can you do a video on how to locate a break in a E fence?
I used the exact same system a few years ago. It's very nice and it's alot cheaper doing it yourself. Very nice video on how to install. 🍻
How is the system performing so far ?

Awesome ! I’m thinking about getting this the only problem I see in reviews is that the collar isn’t very sturdy and breaks fast
@moabbas5525 ours have held up great, and our dogs are rough on them
@@PatriotDIY okay i think ill give it a try thanks

So I have about 250 feet of where I need to keep my dog from chasing cows. Can I just run the wire up and back if that makes sense?
You’d have to make a enlongated loop about 10-15ft apart from one another. Then hook the twisted on the inside to where your putting the transmitter.
Trying to keep dog from a swimming pool I have a portion is concrete any suggestions.
Check out the part where I cross my driveway 10:53 that's my only advise for crossing your concrete area.

I don't want to bury it, can I just run it and secure it on top of the ground?

How much does this cost? Who can I get in touch with to buy this ?
Link in the description
So how many acres did that 1500’ spool cover
About 2
@@PatriotDIY thank you
Have you had any problems with the transmitter box being outside in the extreme heat?
No
The dead zone is what confuses ne most I want to just do my backyard from house back but need the deck area which is about 50ft to be a dead zone
I wish someone could answer this problem I have exactly the same challenge
